A week before last year’s school photo show, Alex’s brother, Leo, rushed into the room. He was in such a hurry to tell Alex something exciting that he didn’t look where he was going. He fell and Alex’s camera dropped from Alex’s hand. The lens (透镜) broke with a loud noise. Alex was very sad because it was special—a gift from his father for his thirteenth birthday.
For two days, Alex stayed angry. His brother tried to say sorry, but Alex refused to listen. Leo walked around with his head down, feeling sorry for what he had done and thinking about how to make it right. Then one night, Leo brought his piggy bank and said, “I will help pay for the repair.”
They took the camera to Mr. Chen, the repairman. After a quick check, he said, “This won’t be simple or cheap.” Hearing this, Alex and Leo went back home, feeling hopeless. That night, their parents knew about the accident and suggested that they do some chores around the house to get some money. What a good idea! The brothers worked hard and their effort was rewarded. They could afford the rest of the cost at last. They ran to Mr. Chen’s shop excitedly.
There was only one day left before the school photo show, and Mr. Chen helped them repair the camera. “You can still see marks here,” he said, “but it works perfectly. Sometimes these give photographs more meaning.”
Before the show, Alex was nervous. However, seeing Leo in the front row with his “Good Luck” sign made Alex calm down. As he took pictures, the camera even worked better than ever. After the show, he hugged Leo, realizing the broken camera had made them closer.
24. Why was the camera special to Alex?
A. Because it was very expensive.
B. Because it was a present from his father.
C. Because it was a prize from the school show.
25. What did Leo do after he broke the camera?
A. He bought a new one for Alex.
B. He offered money to help repair it.
C. He shared his own camera with Alex.
26. What do the underlined words “was rewarded” in Paragraph 3 mean?
A. Handed out. B. Turned out. C. Paid off.
27. What is the main idea of the story?
A. A broken camera made the brothers closer.
B. A school photo show brought students together.
C. An accident at a camera shop offered a lesson.
【答案】24. B 25. B 26. C 27. A
【解析】
【导语】本文讲述了Alex的相机被弟弟Leo摔坏后,两人一起努力修好相机,关系也因此变得更亲密的故事。
【24题详解】
根据原文第一段“Alex was very sad because it was special—a gift from his father for his thirteenth birthday.”,可知相机对Alex来说很特别,因为它是父亲送给他的十三岁生日礼物。
【25题详解】
根据原文第二段“Then one night, Leo brought his piggy bank and said, ‘I will help pay for the repair.’”,可知Leo摔坏相机后,拿出自己的存钱罐,表示会出钱帮忙修理。
【26题详解】
根据原文第三段“The brothers worked hard and their effort was rewarded. They could afford the rest of the cost at last.”,兄弟俩努力做家务赚钱,最后终于凑够了修理费,因此“was rewarded”在这里意为“得到了回报,付出有了成效”,与选项C“Paid off(取得成功、得到回报)”意思一致。
【27题详解】
根据原文最后一段“After the show, he hugged Leo, realizing the broken camera had made them closer.”,可知故事的主旨是:一次摔坏相机的意外,让兄弟俩的关系变得更亲密了。
C
Clouds are like nature’s weather reporters, and their shapes are closely connected to geography. Warm oceans, lakes or rivers provide enough wet air. High mountains make the warm air rise, and the water vapor in it turns into clouds.
Clouds in different areas have special shapes. These shapes can help us know what the weather might be like in the next few hours or days. For example, in warm and wet places like southern China, soft and white cumulus clouds (积云) often mean sunny days are coming. But if these clouds grow taller and darker quickly, they may bring thunder (雷) and rain soon. This is because warm, wet air rises fast in these places, making clouds develop rapidly. In dry northern areas, thin and light cirrus clouds (卷云) high up in the sky are special. They show that a cold wind is on the way.
Different natural places also create different cloud shapes and weather signs. Stratus (层云) clouds look like a thick grey blanket covering the whole sky. They often bring light rain. This is especially true near the sea, where there is plenty of water from the ocean. Near big forests, the air is full of moisture (水分) too, so clouds there are usually thick and easy to bring rain. On the grasslands, clouds are often low and spread out, telling us the weather will stay calm for a while.
By watching cloud shapes and their changes carefully, we can tell the weather without phones or other tools. This helps us plan trips, outdoor activities and daily work better. It’s also a fun way to learn how the environment around us affects cloud shapes and the weather. With a little practice, we can get really good at reading cloud signs. Next time you go out, just look up at the clouds—nature is telling you the weather! How amazing it is!
28. What are clouds like according to the passage?
A. Nature’s blankets.
B. Nature’s rain makers.
C. Nature’s weather reporters.
29. What may cumulus clouds bring if they grow taller and darker quickly?
A. They may bring sunny days.
B. They may bring a strong wind.
C. They may bring thunder and rain soon.
30. Match the cloud types with their appearances according to the text.
a. Cumulus clouds ①Thin and light
b. Cirrus clouds ②Thick and grey
c. Stratus clouds ③Soft and white
A. ①-b; ②-c; ③-a B. ①-c; ②-a; ③-b C. ①-a; ②-b; ③-c
31. What is the writer’s opinion about using clouds to tell the weather?
A. It makes weather prediction more confusing.
B. It is a useful way to understand weather changes.
C. It is an easy and enjoyable way that requires no practice.
【答案】28. C 29. C 30. A 31. B
【解析】
【导语】本文介绍了云与天气的关系,不同形状的云可以预示不同的天气变化。
【28题详解】
根据原文第一段“Clouds are like nature’s weather reporters, and their shapes are closely connected to geography.”,可知云被比作大自然的“天气播报员”。
【29题详解】
根据原文第二段“But if these clouds grow taller and darker quickly, they may bring thunder and rain soon.”,可知积云如果快速变高、变黑,可能很快就会带来雷雨。
【30题详解】
根据原文描述: “soft and white cumulus clouds”(积云:柔软洁白)→ 对应③ ;“thin and light cirrus clouds”(卷云:轻薄)→ 对应① ;“Stratus clouds look like a thick grey blanket”(层云:厚重灰暗)→ 对应② 因此匹配为:a-③,b-①,c-②,对应选项A。
【31题详解】
根据原文最后一段“By watching cloud shapes and their changes carefully, we can tell the weather without phones or other tools. This helps us plan trips, outdoor activities and daily work better.”,可知作者认为通过云判断天气是了解天气变化的一种有用方式。
第二节(共4小题;每小题2分,满分8分)

There are many resources (资源) for children to learn Italian. But not all resources are helpful. ____32____
The local environment matters a lot. Find an Italian playgroup nearby or Italian-speaking families. You can also arrange play dates with kids who speak Italian at home. This helps kids learn in a relaxing, social way. In this way, children can practice Italian while playing and make new friends.
____33____ It sounds simple, but it is the easiest way. Try to use it at home all the time. A simple “Time and Place” method works well—speak only Italian at dinner or on the way to school.
Try to choose some Italian books. ____34____ Try changing your evening bedtime story to an Italian book. Another great way is to have a little quiet corner the children can go to at home with the books. Even if they aren’t reading yet, they will imagine the words of the story in Italian if you read to them in this language.
Learning online is useful. You can set your kids to study online when you are busy. ____35____ Italian cartoons and songs are also perfect. Let your kids watch their favorite shows in Italian—this makes learning fun.

When she finished those lines, I found that the ____40____ line wasn’t a mistake anymore. It was a little____41____ singing in the tree. And the short lines became its feathers (羽毛)! Then, Zoe added a few more “mistake lines” on the grass, turning them into ants and butterflies.

A few years ago, Zhang Chao went to Indonesia to take part in building Indonesia’s first high-speed rail project. At first, he had some communication problems with his Indonesian colleagues (同事). This taught him a lot about understanding between people. He shared his experience at the China-Indonesia Friendship Story Sharing Event held in Beijing on January 29.
