Learning Ability: know how to show the way to someone. 教学重难点 Teaching Poits: grasp and use the new words and phrases. Teaching Difficulties: use the expressions “—Can you show me the way to the …? —You can ....”. 学情分析 本单元主题是Directions方向,属于“人与自然”范畴下的“地理位置及自然环境”,包含中国主要城市及家乡地理位置、方向、标志建筑等内容。 1.教材的纵横关联 纵向关联:Place(场所)主题与五年级上册Unit10、四年级上册Unit6等相关联,涉及的词汇cinema,park,shop,house等均已学过,“Can you ...?”句式已在四年级上册Unit12中出现过。 横向关联:本册教材分为四个大单元,12个小单元,本单元属于第三大单元的第2个小单元,与Unit7中涉及的地理位置及Unit9提到的性格特点相关联,起到了承上启下的作用。序数词的使用也将在本册Unit11中进一步学习到。 2.难点分析 本单元的单词短语较多,生词along, first, second, third, crossing的读音学生很难在第一课时完全正确理解和掌握,教学中可以根据学生实际情况适当降低要求,生词的读音和含义只要求学生基本掌握。路线说明是阅读材料的主体部分,为了降低阅读的难度,可以将整个路线说明分解成几个单句。在学生基本理解每个句子的基础上,指导学生运用已学的知识和生活经验重新排列句子,推断出路线说明,培养学生的推理和合作能力。 教学准备 PPT, pictures, textbook,word cards. 教学过程 步骤、内容、时间 教师活动 学生活动 设计意图 Ⅰ. Lead-in 1.Lead-in by showing the pictures of Part B (turn left, turn right, go straight ). 2.Play a game: Simon Says. 3.Show cards and review these words and phrases (hospital, park, bank, railway station, bookstore, hotel, shopping centre, airport, cinema, post office, school ). Look at the picture, what does that sign mean? Listen and do. When I say “Simon says, turn left.”, you must turn left. Look at the picture, what is this place? Review and teach the pronunciations of the words and phrases. Observe the pictures and answer.(向左转,向右转,直行。) Listen and do. If you are wrong, you should sit down. Look and answer. One student asks “Can you show me the way to the ...?”, One student answers “You can...”. 2.Show the map of Qiyang, and introduce some famous places.(Wuxi park, Taozhu Library, Xinhua bookstore, Wenchang Tower, Wanlian Shopping centre...) 3.Group work, finish the task and describe how to get there (Wuxi park, Taozhu Library, Xinhua bookstore, Wenchang Tower, Wanlian Shopping centre...) . Teach the new sentences “—Excuse me. Can you show me the way to the hotel? —You can go along the street.” Let’s act. One student asks “ Can you show me the way to the...?”, One student answers “You can...”. Please look at the picture , do you know this place? If we are in Jiaoshan park now. Can you show me the way to the Taozhu Library (Wuxi park, Xinhua bookstore, Wenchang Tower, Wanlian Shopping centre...) ? Learn new sentences, read and repeat. Pair-work and practice the expressions“—Can you show me the way to the …?—You can ....”. Look and say, recognize the famous places in Qiyang. Draw the way to the Taozhu Library (Wuxi park, Xinhua bookstore, Wenchang Tower, Wanlian Shopping centre...), and describe it. 利用板书地图,引出新授句型,并反复操练。 通过创设情景、结对练习等,引导学生运用句型“—Can you show me the way to the …?—You can ....”. 出示祁阳市地图,引导学生了解本地著名的风景名胜和建筑,并通过小组合作完成学习任务单,引导学生应用本课所学的句型问路和指路,真正让学生将知识融入到生活实践中。 Ⅳ. Choose and finish. 设计分层作业,一是与朋友交谈去某个地方的路线,二让学生画出从家到学校的路线图,并向朋友描述路线,提倡学生根据自己的意愿自由选择作业并完成,达到进一步巩固所学知识的目的。 板书设计 教学反思 本节课属于我对Unit8单元整体设计中的第二课时,因为考虑教学进度的问题,我选取的这一课题比较靠后,五年级学生可能对前面的知识掌握得不够深入,所以我在导入环节穿插了比较多的复习环节。这是一节活动拓展课,我将教学重点放在了课堂活动上,如创设情境进行对话操练、祁阳地图路线探索等,旨在进行知识迁移,让学生将所学知识应用到生活实践中去。根据新课标主题内容,本单元属于“人与自然”范畴下的“地理位置及自然环境”篇章,所以我将英语与地理相融合,在进行常规的位置、方向等方面的教学时,还融入了祁阳本土的相关地理知识,使知识达到拓展和延伸。同时,我还融入了情感教育及文明礼仪教育,如在问路时要使用“Excuse me.”等礼貌用语,在获得帮助后要表达感谢;F部分选择路线环节,我鼓励同学们多观察,发现不一样的途径到达终点,从而引申出“All roads lead to Rome.”这一名言,让孩子领会到“人生的路不止一条”的道理,适时进行心理健康教育点拨。当然,我的课尚存在一些不足,如板书设计可以更简明扼要等。我会持续改进并不断完善,争取能给学生们呈现出一堂更加生动和有意义的英语课。感谢各位评委专家的指导! — - 1 - — 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
