Have you ever seen a trash can that tells you when it is full? Recently, a smart trash can called "SunCan" has appeared in several parks in Chengdu. It uses solar energy to power itself and can do much more than just hold rubbish.
The SunCan has a solar panel on its top. During the day, it collects sunlight and turns it into electricity. This electricity powers a small computer inside the can. When the can is 80% full, the computer sends a message to the workers, telling them to come and empty it. This saves time and makes the cleaning work more efficient.
The SunCan can also sort rubbish. It has special sensors that can tell whether the waste is plastic, paper, or food. The waste then falls into different bins inside the can. This makes recycling much easier.
Many people in Chengdu love the SunCan. "It's really smart," said Mr. Zhang, a park visitor. "I don't have to worry about which bin to throw my bottle into. The can does it for me." The city government plans to put more SunCans in other public places like train stations and shopping centers next year.
However, the SunCan is still expensive. Each one costs about 5,000 yuan. Scientists are working on ways to make it cheaper so that more cities can use it in the future.

When Liu Yang first arrived at the village school, he was shocked by what he saw. The classrooms were old and dark, and there were no computers or libraries. Many children had to walk for hours to get to school. "I knew it would be hard, but I didn't expect it to be this hard," he said.

Liu Yang also helped improve the school's conditions. He raised money online to buy new desks, chairs, and books. He even set up a small library with the help of his friends in Shanghai. "Education can change a child's life," he said. "I want to give these children a fair chance."
