名词所有格用来表示人或物的所有和所属关系,包括’s所有格和of所有格两种形式
一、’s所有格主要用于表示有生命的名词的所有关系
1.单数名词在词尾加’s。
her father's hand:她父亲的手
2.以-s结尾的复数名词在词尾加’。
Teachers’ Day:教师节
3.不以-s结尾的复数名词在词尾加’s。
Women’s Day:妇女节
4.表示几个人共同拥有,在最后一个名词后加’s
Jane and Mary’s room:简和玛丽(共有)的房间
5.表示每个人各自拥有,在每个名词后加’s
Jane’s and Mary’s rooms:简和玛丽(各自)的房间
6.以-s结尾的人句加’或者’s
James’或James’s:詹姆斯的
二、of所有格
1.of所有格多用于表示无生命的名词的所有关系
the door of the car:车门
2.of所有格也可以用于表示人或其他有生命的名词的所有关系
the name of his dog:他的狗的名字
三、双重所有格
双重所有格包括“of+’s所有格”和“of+名词性物主代词”两种。双重所有格主要用来表示整体中的一部分,也可用来表示感情色彩。如果被修饰的名词前有不定冠词、不定代词、指示代词、数词等,其后的定语一般要用双重所有格形式。

所谓物主代词,就是表示所有关系的代词。物主代词分为形容词性物主代词和名词性物主代词。

二、物主代词的用法
1.形容词性物主代词具有形容词的特点,在句中用作定语,后面必须接名词。

我在找我的书。
2.名词性物主代词具有名词的特征,后面不能再接名词。它相当于“形容词性物主代词+名词”,在句中可做主语、宾语或表语。
Is this book yours?
这本书是你的吗?
3.“of+名词性物主代词”可以做名词的后置定语。
