Since opening in Wuhan in 2024, the Eurasia Museum has attracted visitors worldwide. It shows over 400 objects from Asia and Europe.
Yan Xuejun, the curator (馆长), ____11____ every piece comes from his own collection during his travels. These pieces help visitors see how civilizations connected along the ancient Silk Road. On this famous trade route, East and West not only traded goods but also ____12____ ideas and art styles.
What makes the visit special is Yan’s personal stories. The most ____13____ one is about a blue-and-white porcelain (青花瓷) plate from the Kangxi period. Yan saw it in Germany at collector Peter Roessler’s home. ____14____ he said he would pay a high price, Roessler refused (拒绝). Yan realized he needed to find a different way to convince (说服) him. ____15____ just talking about money, Yan described his dream: to bring important Chinese treasures back home. Moved by this, Roessler agreed to sell it. He said that in Yan, he saw his ____16____ self—one with the same passion (热情) for protecting art.
Yan first developed this deep ____17____ in history when he was a student in Germany. He ____18____ discovered how many Chinese cultural relics were lost overseas. That pushed him to start his own collection. Looking back, the German collector’s trust in ____19____ also made the dream stronger.

根据后文“These pieces help visitors see how civilizations connected...”
根据“not only traded goods but also...”
前一句提到“What makes the visit special is Yan’s personal stories.”,说明下文要举“最特别/难忘”的例子,应用“unforgettable”,表示“难忘的”,符合语境逻辑。“difficult”强调难度,虽过程曲折,但重点在“感动人、难忘”而非“难办”,排除;“common”普通的,与语境不符。
【14题详解】
句意:尽管他说愿意出高价,Roessler仍拒绝了。
空后为“he said he would pay a high price”,但后句是“Roessler refused”,构成明显的让步转折关系。
根据上文“he said he would pay a high price, Roessler refused”,说明谈钱无效;下文“Yan described his dream...”
根据破折号后“one with the same passion for protecting art”,说明Roessler在阎身上看到了“过去的自己”,即“年轻时”的自己,应用“younger”,表示“更年轻的”。“lonelier”强调更孤独,“healthier”强调更健康,二者完全与语境无关。
【17题详解】
句意:阎最早是在德国读书时,就对历史产生了浓厚兴趣。
下文“He...discover how many Chinese cultural relics were lost overseas. That pushed him to start his own collection.”
根据后文“That pushed him to start his own collection.”
根据主语“the German collector’s trust in...”,宾语需指代“他即阎”,应用“him”,强调“德国收藏家信任的是阎”。“himself”在此处表示“信任他本人”,主语是the German,如用himself表示德国收藏家信任自己而不是阎,逻辑错误。“his”是物主代词,不可作宾语,排除。
【20题详解】
句意:阎认为很多年轻人应该参观他的博物馆,这就是为什么他把门票设为免费。
根据后文“Even a small cost could be a barrier for them”以及“I want to remove that barrier altogether.”

Between us now, a thin, weak bridge.
Made of words we hardly say.
Once, your hand held mine so tight,
Now, I walk my own way.
Your voice is soft, but I don’t hear,
Lost in my busy teenage days.
I build my walls, you try to break,
Yet love stays strong in hidden ways.

第一句指出:“Made of words we hardly say.”,表明“thin, weak bridge”由极少开口的话构成,这个比喻指代双方匮乏的沟通。
最后一节提到:“We are like stars in different skies, But love connects us, strong and true.”,此处把“我们”比作星星,表明虽相隔遥远却被爱连接。
B
In March 2026, OpenClaw, an AI tool, became very popular in China. It is called “the Lobster” because of its red lobster-like look. People started to set up (安装) the program. Many tech fans waited in long lines for free setup in cities like Shenzhen and Shanghai, and some people even paid for faster setup services.
OpenClaw can help with tasks like programming and using apps on the computer. Many people, especially workers and students, use it to make their daily tasks easier. For example, it can help you write a good report and organize your photos more quickly.
OpenClaw is a big help in other ways. Companies use it for tasks like customer service and planning management. This helps them to do important tasks with fewer workers in shorter time and use tools that used to be expensive. It makes OpenClaw a great choice. Tencent and Baidu make it even easier by offering one-click (一键) setup. The government (政府) is also helping with the study to improve it.
However, OpenClaw’s fast growth comes with some problems. Experts say that if the program isn’t set up correctly, it may cause problems on computers. And others may get your personal information. Some companies even ask their employees not to use OpenClaw because of information security (安全).
There are problems but many people still believe OpenClaw has great opportunities to help improve work and make tasks easier. With the development of AI, there will be more and more tools. If they’re used carefully and correctly, they can change our lives in the future.
25. Why does the writer mention “some people even paid for faster setup services” in Paragraph 1?
A. To show that OpenClaw is fast. B. To show that OpenClaw is interesting.
C. To show that OpenClaw is expensive. D. To show that OpenClaw is very popular.
26. What can we learn from Paragraph 3?
A. OpenClaw is of little help to companies.
B. Companies save time and money with OpenClaw.
C. It’s difficult for some companies to set up OpenClaw.
D. It’s a good choice for the government to set up OpenClaw.
27. What can OpenClaw do according to the passage?
①program ②write a report ③organize the photos
④set up by itself ⑤plan work
A. ①②③④ B. ②③④⑤ C. ①②③⑤ D. ①③④⑤
28. Some companies stop their workers from using OpenClaw mainly because ________.
A. it is too expensive B. they worry about information security
C. it’s too hard to set up D. they want to cause problems for employees
29. If there is a Paragraph 6, what may the writer talk about?
A. The benefits of OpenClaw. B. Why AI tools are so popular.
C. Ways to improve OpenClaw. D. How to use AI tools in the right way.
D 26. B 27. C 28. B 29. D
文章第1段“In March 2026, OpenClaw, an AI tool, became very popular in China...Many tech fans waited in long lines for free setup...some people even paid for faster setup services.”
文章第3段“Companies use it for tasks like customer service and planning management. This helps them to do important tasks with fewer workers in shorter time and use tools that used to be expensive.”
文章第2段“OpenClaw can help with tasks like programming...For example, it can help you write a good report and organize your photos more quickly.”及第3段“Companies use it for tasks like...planning management”表明OpenClaw能做①program、②write a report、③organize the photos、⑤plan work。文中未提及“set up by itself”,故④错误。
文章第4段“Some companies even ask their employees not to use OpenClaw because of information security.”

C
Take a look at the two shapes in the picture. Which one do you think is “kiki” and which one is “bouba”? This is part of a famous bouba-kiki experiment (实验) done in both America and India.
In the experiment, people were shown two drawings. One had a rounded shape, and the other had a star-like shape. People had to name each of them with “bouba” or “kiki”. Both of these words were not real words in any language and had no meaning. However, 95% of people decided the rounded one was “bouba”, and the star-like one was “kiki”.
The experiment shows our brains seem to connect sounds with shapes. The researchers believe the results have something to do with the mouth shapes we make when we say these words. Pronouncing “bouba” needs the mouth to make a rounded shape. Other examples of “rounded” sounds are oo in “room”. An unrounded mouth shape is needed to make the sound of “kiki”, with the lips (嘴唇) spread apart, like ee in “peek”.
Another way to understand this is that letters such as k or t are thought to have unrounded sounds because of their sharp (尖的) shapes. Letters like b or g have rounded shapes, so they are thought to have rounded and soft sounds.
Understanding the bouba-kiki effect (效应) can help us find its potential uses in areas like branding (品牌). For example, if a toy brand wants to show its softness and friendliness, it may follow the “bouba” effect and choose rounded shapes for the logo and rounded sounds for product names. Similarly, a technology company may turn to the “kiki” effect to show it’s sharp and powerful. So next time if you want to design a logo for a school event or name a product, consider whether it feels more like “bouba” or “kiki”!
30. How does the writer begin the text?
A. By listing numbers. B. By telling a joke.
C. By asking a question. D. By giving examples.
31. According to the text, what can you learn about the bouba-kiki experiment?
A. It was done in both America and England.
B. It shows connections between shapes and sounds.
C. “Bouba” and “kiki” are common Indian languages.
D. Most people connect “bouba” with star-like things.
32. Which brand best shows the “kiki” effect?
A. Loops. B. Teeki. C. Wubbo. D. Bugaloo.
33. What does the underlined word potential mean?
A. possible B. important C. surprising D. positive
34. What is the correct structure of the text?
A. ①②/③/④⑤ B. ①/②③/④⑤ C. ①/②/③④⑤ D. ①②/③④/⑤
C 31. B 32. B 33. A 34. D
文章首段开头指出:“Take a look at the two shapes in the picture. Which one do you think is ‘kiki’ and which one is ‘bouba’?”,表明作者以提问方式开篇。
第三段第一句提到:“The experiment shows our brains seem to connect sounds with shapes”,说明实验表明声音和形状存在关联。
第四段提到:“letters such as k or t are thought to have unrounded sounds because of their sharp shapes”,说明像“k”或“t”这样的字母被认为发音不够圆润,因为它们的形状较为尖锐;第五段提到:“a technology company may turn to the ‘kiki’ effect to show it’s sharp and powerful”,说明“kiki”效应与尖锐和力量相关,因此选项中“Teeki”包含清晰的/k/音,符合“kiki”效应的特点。

根据第一段伯乐写了《相马经》“On the Physiognomy of Horses”,选项D“It was a classic book on that subject”承接上文,介绍这本书的地位,与“He wrote a book...”
根据第二段讲伯乐的儿子想学父亲的相马技能,后文提到“Whenever he went out, he would carry the book with him”。选项A“He read the book over and over again”衔接上下文,说明他为学技能努力读书,与“wanted to learn his father’s special skill”呼应。
根据第三段“He was very happy and led it home to show his father”。选项F“One day, he finally found a horse similar to the drawing in the book”引出“找到马”的情节,与“led it home”逻辑一致。
根据第四段找到的马是劣马,后文是伯乐的话“If you look for a good horse only with the help of drawings...”。选项B“He was very sad and wanted to know why”承接“找到劣马”的结果,引出父亲的教导,逻辑连贯。

第三节
E
Perler beads, also known as “pindou” in China, have become very popular among young people. These small plastic tubes are placed on small boards to form patterns. Then, they are heated so that they melt together into a fixed design.
The craft (手工艺) first appeared in Sweden in the 1970s. It was first created to help older people stay active and feel less lonely during long winters. Today, it is loved by many young Chinese. During the Spring Festival, bookings for perler bead classes increased by over 9,000 percent!
Why do young people love it so much? One reason is that it helps them relax. When focusing on placing beads, they enter a state where they forget everything else. This makes them feel calm and happy. Another reason is that it gives them a sense of control. In a fast-changing world, following a simple pattern and getting an expected result feels good. Between us now, a thin, weak bridge.
Made of words we hardly say.
Once, your hand held mine so tight,
Now, I walk my own way.

Lost in my busy teenage days.
I build my walls, you try to break,
Yet love stays strong in hidden ways.
You ask, “Why are you so far?”

But deep inside, I know you care,

Many tech fans waited in long lines for free setup in cities like Shenzhen and Shanghai, and some people even paid for faster setup services.

A. ①②/③/④⑤ B. ①/②③/④⑤ C. ①/②/③④⑤ D. ①②/③④/⑤

Perler beads also help young people connect with others. After finishing a project, many share their work on social media and get lots of likes. Some even use it as a way to make friends, enjoying a shared hobby without too much pressure.
In short, perler beads offer more than just fun. They help young people relax, feel in control, and connect with others in a simple and creative way!
