April 5th, Sunny.
Today was Qing Ming Festival. It is known as Tomb-Sweeping Day and It's a time to remember ancestors and pay respects to the dead.
I went to the cemetery with my family to sweep tombs. We brought flowers and offerings, cleaned the tombstones and prayed for the peace of our ancestors. Later, we flew kites in the park and ate homemade qingtuan.
I felt that the Festival is not only an important part of our cultural heritage but also a chance for us to experience love that lasts. It makes us cherish the present and remember our roots.
I was caught in the act of cheating in the exam. Fear filled my heart, I have butterflies in my stomach. Instead of scolding me in front of the class, she gently called me into her office. She understood why I might have felt pressured to cheat, explaining the importance of honesty. Her understanding and compassion touched me. When I left her office, her kindness stayed with me, and I was determined to do better.
Now I am also a primary school teacher like Mrs. Green .I have never forgotten the passion for educating of Mrs. Green and the lesson about honesty she taught me. When my students make mistakes like cheating in an exam, I try to teach them to recognize the difference between right and wrong. I tell them that while grades may not always be perfect, earning them honestly makes them perfect. Mrs. Green's legacy lives on in my classroom, and I am forever grateful for the lessons she taught me, not just in math, but in life.

E 37. C 38. D 39. A 40. F
根据上文“It can be difficult to start a hobby. You may have come across one that requires you to buy costly equipment.”(开始一个兴趣是很难的,你可能需要购买昂贵的设备。);下文“Find a low—cost hobby and pick something that is interesting and doesn't require a lot of materials to start.”( 找一个低成本的爱好,选择一个有趣的,不需要很多材料的开始。) 所以“The truth is that many hobbies can be started without much money.”(事实上许多爱好可以不花费多少钱就能开始。) without much money呼应Find a low—cost hobby。故选E项。
根据下文“Look for rocks, plant leaves and flowers. Take a walk along a beach and look for sea glass.”( 寻找岩石、植物叶子和花朵。 所以“One way to do this is to go outside.”(其中一种方法就是到外面去。)
根据小标题“Start an art or craft(工艺)project. ”(开始一门艺术或工艺项目。)可知,这一段主要讲如果把手工艺作为一种爱好;再根据下文“Writing, drawing, and more will likely be available to you simply by using what you already have on hand.”(只要使用你手头已有的东西,你就可以写东西、画画等等。) 所以“Many arts and crafts can be started with few materials.”(许多工艺品可以用很少的材料开始。)
分析文章结构可知,此空需填一个小标题;再根据下文“Think of a subject you'd like to learn. Search out classes in your area. Your local community center or library may offer new classes for free on anything from square dancing to programming, and you can also search local colleges and businesses for inexpensive classes.”(想一个你想学的科目。 故选A项。
根据上文“YouTube contains a large quantity of music you can listen to for free. In addition, you can discover music you like by using online radio stations or services. ”( YouTube上有大量你可以免费听的音乐。此外,你可以通过使用在线电台或服务来发现你喜欢的音乐。)可知,音乐也可以是一个轻松的爱好。所以“By enjoying new music online, you can turn music into a relaxing hobby”( 通过在网上享受新的音乐,你可以把音乐变成一种放松的爱好。)

Good morning! My name is Sarah Williams. It’s an honour to be here and to share with you the story of how music has had an impact(影响) on my life.
Have you ever faced a time when things looked dark and you had no hope at all? Two years ago, I was told I had a serious disease which was difficult to cure. My body ached all the time and thus I thought I didn’t have much longer to live. I was very afraid and I felt so alone and discouraged. Then one day, I had to go through a two-hour medical treatment. The doctor wanted me to relax, so he had me listen to some music, and one of the songs was “Happy”. The song made me feel so much better that from then on I began to listen to music all the time. John A.Logan said, “Music is the medicine of the mind.” And it’s true. Music helped me recover.
Music gave me happiness. When I listened to music, it made my spirits fly like a kite in the wind. Music gave me strength and brought me relief. It was the rock I leant on to become strong and to get through those hard times. Moreover, music gave me hope and a sense of satisfaction. It became my best friend. It spoke words of encouragement to the deepest part of my being.
Of course, I hope none of you have to go through the same kind of suffering that I did. At the same time, we all go through various periods when we feel sad or alone. During those times, music can help you in the same way that it helped me. I hope all of you will somehow begin to treasure music and make it a part of your life.
Thank you!

26.Why did music become Sarah’s best friend?
A.Because it cured her of her illness. B.Because it made her live much longer.
C.Because it made her much wiser. D.Because it gave encouragement to her.
27.What is Sarah’s advice according to the speech?
A.Sharing what you experienced with others. B.Facing your illness bravely.
C.Making music a part of your life D.Listening to a lot of pleasing songs.

In recent years, new technologies have changed our daily lives quickly. One of the most talked-about developments is AI. AI helps people do many things, from making phone calls to translating languages. It also helps doctors find diseases more correctly and helps drivers avoid traffic jams.
Another important technology is 5G. It is the fifth generation of mobile network. 5G is much faster than 4G. For example, people can download a movie in just a few seconds. 5G also makes it possible to control smart homes from far away. Many cities in China and around the world are building 5G networks now.
Smart robots are also becoming popular. In factories, smart robots can work day and night without rest. They can put together cars, pack goods, and even help clean up. In some schools, robots teach students basic knowledge and answer questions. Students like them because they are patient and friendly.
However, new technologies also bring problems. Some people worry that AI will replace some jobs. Others say that smart devices may collect personal information. To solve these problems, scientists are making laws to protect privacy and ensure safety.
In the future, technology will continue to develop. It is important for teenagers to learn about new technologies and use them wisely. Only in this way can we build a better world.
28. What does the passage suggest about 5G?
A.It will completely replace 4G in daily life in a short time.

C.It will greatly influence and improve people’s daily life
D.It can solve all the problems brought by new technologies.
29.What can we learn about smart robots from Paragraph 3?
A.They are only used at home. B.They never get tired.
C.They cannot answer questions. D.They will replace all teachers soon.
30.What do some people worry about new technologies?
A.They may make people healthier. B.They may cause traffic jams.
C.They can stop diseases. D.They may take away some jobs.
31.What is the writer’s attitude towards new technologies?
A.Positive. B.Uninterested. C.Critical. D.Negative.

In a study of 20,000 people, a team, led by Mathew White of a research center for environment and human health, found that people who spent two hours a week in green spaces — local parks or other natural environments, whether in one go or over several visits — were more likely to report good health and psychological well- being than those who didn’t. Two hours was a hard boundary(界限): The study, published last June, showed there were no benefits for people who didn’t meet that threshold. With the threshold reached, the effects were strong.
There were also some studies conducted by other teams about nature deficit disorder, and all the findings pointed to the same conclusion: Nature is not only nice to have, but it’s a have-to-have for physical health and cognitive functioning. These studies showed that time in nature — as long as people feel safe — is an antidote for stress: It can lower blood pressure and stress hormone levels, reduce nervous system arousal, enhance immune system function, increase self-esteem, reduce anxiety, and improve mood.
The finding came at a crucial time. Increasing concerns about the overuse of smartphones and other forms of technology have led to a tipping point, promoting health experts, researchers, and government officials to propose widespread changes to bring nature into people’s everyday lives.
The influence of the finding is obvious. For example, more attention has been paid to “park deserts” in cities. More community parks have been built to help people live within a 10-minute walk of a park. More schools have been redesigned with large windows and access to water, trees and green spaces. The number of “forest schools”, where much of the learning takes place in natural settings in the outdoors, has mushroomed. More businesses have provided their employees with easy access to green spaces.
Mathew White even suggested using Forest Therapy(疗法) — immersing oneself in the forest for healing — to get bigger benefits. “The forest is the therapist. And we need to deepen interaction with it to make the experience more immersive and beneficial.”
32.What can we learn from Mathew White’s 20,000-people study?
A.All participants got benefits from the study.
B.Green spaces only benefit people with diseases.
C.More time in green spaces reward people with better health.
D.2 hours a week in green spaces makes people healthier.
33.What does the underlined word “antidote” in Paragraph 2 mean?
A.A form of amusement. B.A factor causing harm.
C.A way to solve a problem. D.An advanced tool for measurement.
34.How does the author present the influence of the study in Paragraph 4?
A.By giving examples. B.By listing data.
C.By analyzing causes. D.By quoting an expert.
35.What can be a suitable title for the text?D.By quoting an expert.
A.Nature Deficit Disorder: A Research Focus
B.Nature Immersion: A Healing Power for Health
C.Forest Schools: An Education Model Change
D.Forest Therapy: A New Treatment for Illness

During my six years at the Boyd E. Smith Primary School, I was lucky to have so many great teachers who served as thoughtful role models. They were admirable characters who had far-reaching effects on me in more ways than I could have known. Among them who influenced me the most was my fourth-grade teacher, Mrs. Green.
The truth is that Mrs. Green was unlike anyone I had ever known. She had so much energy and passion for the world and for her students that she spent thirty years of her life at Boyd E. Smith. Mrs. Green taught maths. She devoted herself to her work. I would never have imagined that I would have left her class with so much.
Mrs. Green is everything that I want to be. The first time I met her, I knew she was someone special. Being young fourth-graders, we were taught to show respect to teachers as we learned to say “Thank you, madam” and "Yes, madam" on a daily basis. We did not complain about it. We knew she did it to make us better young adults that would carry on through life with respect for our elders.
Mrs. Green was an amazing teacher for many reasons, as she was intelligent and passionate about what she taught. She did not scold (责骂) us, but she taught us to recognize the difference between right and wrong and to be responsible no matter what we did. Looking back upon those days when I was in her class, I realized that she was teaching us qualities that were important to our characters. The most valuable lesson I learned from her was to live with honesty. I had no idea what this word meant until the incident (事情) in a math exam.
I was caught in the act of cheating in the exam.___________________________________________
