(2)suggest和advise用法辨析
①两者都可以表示建议做某事,advise与suggest后面都可接名词/动名词/that从句(从句中谓语动词为should后加动词原形,其中should可以省略)。
②两者在搭配上有所不同:suggest sb.(宾格)/one's doing sth. 建议某人做某事;advise sb. to do sth. 建议某人做某事;advise sb. against (doing) sth. 建议/劝某人不要做某事;advise sb. on/about sth. 针对某事给某人提出建议。

【典型例句】①Experts suggest doing exercise in the morning. 专家建议早上锻炼。
②I advise you to speak English every day. 我建议你每天说英语。
③I advised him against doing it now. 我劝他不要现在做此事。

2.staff n. 管理人员;职工。集体名词,单复数同形。作主语时, 若看作整体,谓语动词用单数;若看作个体, 谓语动词用复数。
【典型例句】①These staff here are very helpful. 这里的这些职员很乐意帮忙。
②The staff works hard, and we all like him. 这个职员工作很努力,我们都喜欢他。

3.on one's way to… 在某人去……的路上。当on one's way to后跟副词home, here, there时要省略to。
【典型例句】①I was on my way to school when I met him. 我见到他的时候,正在去学校的路上。
②On his way home, he saw a very beautiful bird. 在回家的路上,他看到一只非常漂亮的小鸟。
【拓展】in the way 阻碍;by the way顺便说一下;in this way用这种方式;no way绝不;find a way找到方法。

4.pass by 路过;经过;(也用来指时间的)流逝,过去
【典型例句】I passed by the library just now. 我刚刚路过图书馆。
5.助动词do, does或did表强调
当我们需要对谓语动词进行强调时,通常在谓语动词前加助动词do, does或did(根据时态及人称来确定), 真正的谓语动词用原形。
