What will you do if you want more LEGO but don’t have enough money to buy it? A seven-year-old boy named Austin had a smart idea. He started his own T-shirt business, putting characters he created himself, like Sus-bot and The Monster That Ate My Cheese, on T-shirts.
At first, Austin drew his characters by hand. However, the drawings didn’t look as amazing as the pictures in his mind. To solve this, he and his mum discovered a better way they learned to use AI tools to bring his ideas to life.
Now, Austin is busy with his small business. He chooses T-shirt colours, makes posts online, and works with his mum to press(烫印)the designs onto each T-shirt. To get closer to his dream LÉGO sets, Austin has set up market stalls(摊位)and even started his own website.
What does Austin like most? It’s hearing from happy customers who say his T-shirt is their first choice when they are getting dressed in the morning. “It doesn’t matter how young you are,” Austin says. “If you have a great idea and people support you, you can make that idea come to life!”
30. Why did Austin start his own T-shirt business?
A. To learn business skills from his mum.
B. To share his fun designs with more people.
C. To make money for more LEGO toys.
D. To try out new T-shirt styles with his mom.
31. How did Austin make the designs of his characters look better?
A. He learned to use AI tools to create them.

C. The difficulties Austin's business is facing.
D. The reason why Austin starts his own website.
33. Which of the following words best describes Austin?

As a teenager, you are to go through many changes. Your body starts to grow quickly; school becomes more challenging with harder subjects and more homework. Maybe the biggest change is in your feelings. You might feel worried, unsure, stressed and upset.
The bad feelings may lead to mental (心理的) health problems. Therefore, it’s essential to pay attention to teenage development. Then, how can teenagers deal with the growing pains?
Speak up. Keeping your feelings to yourself is bad for your mental and physical health: So be brave to express what’s in your mind.
Self-care helps too. Try simple things like sitting quietly and focusing on your breathing for a few minutes. They can train your mind, helping you find a quiet, clear and strong space inside yourself.
Build your “superhero team”. You can receive support and help from it. Building a support team isn’t about having the most fans on social media, it’s about having people you can truly trust, like your family and friends.
Don’t forget the power of physical activity and hobbies. Joining a sports team, learning to cook, growing flowers and so on can be very helpful. It’s like a secret superpower that you can use when things get hard.
Beyond these easy self-help steps, outside support can’t be ignored (忽视). When parents discover there is something wrong with their children, they should offer a listening ear and a safe space. Schools can help by offering counseling (咨询) services, peer support groups and mental health education.
34. What changes in teenagers are talked about in the first paragraph?
a. Their bodies grow quickly.
b. Their schoolwork becomes heavier.
c. They often experience bad feelings.
d. They have problems with their parents.
A. abc B. abd C. acd D. bcd
35. What does the underlined word “essential” mean?
A. Common. B. Necessary. C. Interesting. D. Unusual.
36. What is the main idea of the last paragraph?
A. Self-help steps are easy.
B. Outside support is important.
C. Mental health can’t be ignored.
D. Parents and schools should work together.
37. What can be the best title for the text?
A. What it is like to be a teenager
B. How bad feelings influence teenagers
C. How to deal with teenage growing pains
D. Why self-care is important to teenagers

阅读下面短文,并用英语回答问题(请注意每小题的词数要求)。
Do you know what teamwork is? Teamwork means working well together as a team.
Teamwork offers many benefits. First, the team can break down a large project into smaller tasks. When dealing with a large project, everyone can take on a smaller part of the work instead of placing all the burden on one person. Second, teamwork creates more opportunities. When people work together, they can solve difficult problems in the project from different perspectives (视角). People can communicate with others who have different experiences and opinions. Third, teamwork helps you recognise your strengths and weaknesses. When people work in a group, they will engage in self-reflection (自我反省).
However, there are some disadvantages of teamwork. First, teamwork may be unfair. Sometimes the work isn’t distributed equally(平均地). Hard-working members may receive the same rewards as the lazy ones, which is unfair. The team might fall apart. Second, it can lead to unhealthy competition. When people are placed on the same team, they may compete with each other naturally. If this becomes the group’s focus, the quality of teamwork may drop. Finally, some people who are used to working by themselves will work better alone than in a team. And their working style might not be good for team unity.
In a word, every coin has its two sides. Teamwork can really help us do better if we use it right.

例文
How to keep healthy
All teenagers have pressure because of too much homework in the junior high school. Keeping healthy is especially important because it helps us study better and face challenges bravely. Here are my suggestions.
Firstly, eat a balanced diet with more vegetables and fruits. Avoid junk food like burgers and cola. Secondly, exercise for at least 30 minutes every day. You can run, play basketball or even dance. Thirdly, get 8 hours of sleep each night. Staying up late makes us tired. Finally, talk to friends or teachers when feeling stressed. Smiling can make your heart lighter.
I hope all of us can follow these steps to stay healthy. Let’s enjoy our school life with strong bodies and happy minds! Thank you.
