Analysis of the Target Students
Existing Foundation: The target students are seventh-graders who are new in junior high. They’re interested in the nature and have learned something about it in daily life and at school. They have
acquired some words and expressions of plants and learned about genres such as narration,exposition,etc.
Development Demands:They may want to know more about plants such as the structure, history and uses of them. They want to know how to make a poster of plants. They need to use simple future tense to express certain things.
Existing Barriers:They may have difficulty in combing and summarizing different aspects of plants and understanding the importance of them to the world.
Preset Measures:Communicative methods and tablet computers. In-time guidance from the teacher.

By the end of the class, students will be able to:
1. Obtain information of corn with the help of the notes and comb the discourse to find out its
structure.
2. Summarize different uses of corn and analyze its importance to Mexicans.
