We round up the best from the USA and Europe. Caspar David Friedrich: The Soul of Nature 2024 was really Caspar David Friedrich’s year — the 250th anniversary of his birth — so the MET is a bit slow. Last year, all his works were on show in various exhibitions around Germany. The gallery is waiting to get their pick of them, showing 75 works from 30 collections. Unbelievably, this is Friedrich’s first-ever major show in the United States. Suzanne Valado This exhibition has already done the rounds, having started in Metz in 2023 and visited Nantes and Barcelona in the last 12 months. The Centre Pompidou exhibition will be divided into different themes. It will also show her works with the works of less-known artists who lived and worked in the same age like Juliette Roche, Georgette Agutte, and Jacqueline Marval. Elizabeth Catlett: A Black Revolutionary Artist The NGA is doing a full review of Catlett’s career, with 150 prints, sculptures, and rare examples of her painting. The exhibition is currently showing at Brooklyn Museum (until June 19, 2025) and it will later travel to Chicago. Taking a time-ordered approach, the show tells a life of protest and campaigning for social justice and an artistic practice that adopted a new form. From Odesa to Berlin These might not be the most famous paintings on show in Europe, but it is probably the most touching exhibition. 60 pictures of Ukrainian refugees (难民) leaving their homes will be shown together with works from Berlin collections. This includes religious art, still life and landscape organized into a series of nine themes. The idea is to stress the historic connections between Ukraine and Western Europe. 21.What can we know about the MET’s Friedrich exhibition? A.It lasts a month. B.It is held in Germany. C.It is Friedrich’s first show. D.It displays Friedrich’s 75 works. 22.Where can visitors appreciate works related to social justice on July 25th? A.Chicago. B.Berlin. C.Brooklyn. D.Barcelona. 23.What is a feature of From Odesa to Berlin? A.It includes 60 historical paintings. B.It helps Ukrainian refugees escape. C.It groups works into various themes. D.It presents a symbol of religious art. B Watching the motorbike roll out of the hire shop in Thakhek, Laos, I wondered if I was making a terrible mistake. It was March 2017, and I had agreed to go on a road trip with Travis, an American I’d met just weeks earlier in an international programme in Thailand. I tended to be circumspect around people I didn’t know but Travis’s constant efforts to get to know me had worked, and we connected over a shared sense of humour. His suggestion to explore Laos together felt like the natural progression of our friendship. Travis wanted to visit a hot climbing spot while I wanted to see the Laos that wasn’t on the typical tourist trail — and it seemed like the only way we could do both was to travel by motorbike, a means of transport I actively avoided for many years. When I was a little boy, my dad would go to work on his motorbike every day and it seemed to me like a perfectly natural way to travel. That all changed in 2004. While backpacking in Sihanoukville, a motorbike crash landed me in a medical clinic with a serious leg injury. Though I promised to be safer in the future, back in London I found myself always trying to avoid motorbikes. The scars on my leg became a permanent reminder of the accident and I grew cautious about doing anything involving physical risk. By 2017, it had been more than a decade since I had ridden on a motorbike. Travis assured me that he had a driver’s licence and would drive safely. I looked down at the scars on my leg, took a deep breath and swung my leg over the seat. I needn’t have worried. The journey unfolded smoothly, carrying us to splendid temples, expansive lakes, hidden caves, and little cafes. We rode through winding mountain roads to reach scenic villages that we would never have otherwise encountered. It was a trip that healed my “scars” and supplied me with the confidence to connect more readily with strangers and to adventure more. 24.What does the underlined word “circumspect” in paragraph 1 mean? A.Friendly. B.Impatient. C.Cautious. D.Enthusiastic. 25.What led the author to agree to go on a trip with Travis? A.Travis’s spirit of adventure. B.Their mutual interest in Laos. C.Their shared purpose of traveling. D.Travis’s efforts to bond with him. 26.Why did the author hesitate to travel by motorbike at first? A.He didn’t trust Travis’s driving skills. B.He was not familiar with the roads in Laos. C.He preferred a faster means of transportation. D.He had an accident on a motorbike in the past. 27.Which of the following best describes the author’s journey in Laos? A.Healing. B.Uneventful. C.Adventurous. D.Romantic. C Government agencies and volunteer groups in many places are using sea creatures to protect coastal areas from storms and rising sea levels. The idea is that large groups of oysters (牡蛎) known as colonies, can help reduce the power of waves. Powerful waves can damage lands along the edge of ocean waters. Oysters may play an important part in dealing with the problem. Oysters are central to a project that is taking place near Vaccaro’s rebuilt house. The project is being carried out by the Littore Society. It received $1 million from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. The group has been building steel wire containers, filling them with rocks and whelk (海螺) shells an positioning them along the shoreline of Barnegat Bay. Tiny baby oysters are attached to whelk shells and placed in the existing cages to further strengthen the shoreline. The shoreline in Vaccaro’s neighborhood has lost 46 meters of beach since 1995, the Littoral Society says. The oysters appear to be doing their job. One recent day, a strong east wind blew across the bay. But between the oysters and the shoreline, the water was much calmer, and waves gently wen onto the shoreline instead of hitting it with force. As an added benefit, the oysters help improve water quality in the bay. The Associated Press reports that a single oyster can filter (过滤) up to 190 liters of water a day. A few kilometers south, a group called ReClam the Bay is building an oyster reef to protect the shoreline of Mordecai Island. People do not live on the island, but it protects the shoreline of Beach Haven, a town on Long Beach Island. Volunteers fill bags with 16 kilograms of whelk shells, to which millions of baby oysters have been attached. Then volunteers move them out to the reef a few hundred yards into the ocean. They have placed 10, 000 bags of oysters and whelk shells there since 2015. 28.Where do the baby oysters grow? A.On the sea rocks. B.In steel wire cages. C.In shallow calm water. D.In the fishermen’s houses. 29.What does the author intend to tell us in paragraph 4? A.The sea life project works. B.The baby oysters grow well. C.The beach stops missing. D.The sea pollution is dropping. 30.What do we know about ReClam the Bay? A.It cooperates with the Littoral Society. B.It offers baby oysters to the Littoral Society. C.It has the same aim as the Littoral Society. D.It has made more progress than the Littoral Society. 31.Which of the following can be the best title for the text? A.Oyster Farming Has Great Benefits B.Volunteer Ocean Protection Is in Action C.Worldwide Beaches Are Disappearing Fast D.Little Sea Creature Could Save Coastal Land D When planning my wedding, I was determined not to get caught up in the “perfect day”, but to have a relaxed, informal celebration. My husband and I ended up having a lovely time. “Pursuit of perfection is a prison,” says Moya Sarner, an NHS psychotherapist. Many of us are driven by the unconscious wish that if we could just have the perfect body, the perfect job and the perfect family, then we would be happy. For that reason, it can be one of the most significant barriers to happiness in life. The psychoanalyst Donald Winnicott wrote about the importance of the “good enough mother” who meets her baby’s needs timely, but is not perfect. He said perfect is harmful. To meet every desire immediately, to pass the toy straight away whenever it is demanded slows down a baby’s growth, robbing them of the opportunity to feel frustrated and learn to crawl to get the toy for themselves. Winnicott believed that while perfection is not a virtue, tolerance of imperfection is. If we cannot develop the capacity to tolerate imperfection in ourselves and in those around us, we can have no self-confidence, no sustainable relationships and no fulfilling career. If we’re always trying to build something called a perfect life, we aren’t really living the one we’re in. How do I know all this? I am a perfectionist in recovery. I’ve started to recognize my intolerance of imperfection — my need for certain things to be exactly as I would like them to be, from the way my husband chops his onions to my terror of being late — and it has made a huge difference to my relationship and my parenting. How can you be a good partner if you expect everyone else to fit your own narrow expectations? How can your child grow if they sense that they always need to color precisely inside the lines you’ve drawn out for them? We need to go further than tolerating imperfections. We need to learn to appreciate their humanity and beauty. Imperfections are why people will pay a calligrapher to handwrite invitations when a computer can produce a flawless (完美的) version of the same script for less money and in less time. So for a more delicious life, and ultimately a better one, I choose imperfectionism. 32.Which of the following does the author agree with? A.Pursuit of perfection restricts people’s development. B.Pursuit of perfection blocks people’s access to happiness. C.We should keep building a perfect life to gain true happiness. D.Tolerating imperfections cannot bring us any improvement in life. 33.What can we learn from the example of the “good enough mother”? A.Raising a child brings a mother much joy. B.Pursuing perfection is the duty of mothers. C.Meeting babies’ demands is very challenging. D.Responding instantly impacts babies’ growth. 34.What is the function of the two questions at the end of Paragraph 5? A.To shift topics. B.To make assumptions. C.To encourage thinking. D.To arouse interest. 35.Which of the following might the author approve of? A.A miss is as good as a mile. B.Haste makes waste. C.Close enough is good enough. D.Practice makes perfect. Summer vacation has begun for many of us, and chances are your kids are spending their free time in front of a screen instead of enjoying the nice weather. We won’t repeat the warnings about children and screen time here, but we admit it: Pulling them away from video game can be tricky, as they’re so addicted. 36 Many botanical gardens and nature preserves offer programs tailored for children and families. These include yoga classes, treasure hunts, and flashlight evening walks. If no classes or activities are available, try encouraging your kids to feel the grass under their feet or notice the butterflies and insects that call the grounds their home. 37 When you get home, have them search for any similar ones in your backyard. Sidewalk chalk, such as drawing butterflies on the pavement (人行道) , is an old but reliable standby that can fire up your child’s imagination. Nevertheless, it can quickly become tiresome for your kids. 38 You could start a tic-tac-toe game using sticks and rocks or go on a hike and give each other points for each animal or tree they see. 39 However, sometimes your kid isn’t into it — or is too little to hike any real distance. In that case, let them be the leader and decide your family’s direction. 40 It gives them a sense of ownership and responsibility to the activity and engages them a lot more. A.To develop a sense of curiosity in children counts. B.A walk in the woods can be great for the whole family. C.Have some ideas ready on the fly to keep them occupied. D.However, sunshine and exercise might change their attitude. E.That’s one of the masterpieces you can transform nature into. F.You are not necessarily reaching the destination you want to reach. G.Let them appreciate the different flowers and ask about their favorites. The box of my college textbooks sat in the hallway. Every year, we’d throw a combined birthday party, and seventh grade felt extra special — our moms finally agreed we could invite our classmates. We settled on a “Discover the Pyramids” theme, spending weeks crafting hieroglyphic (象形文字的) decorations and planning mummy wrap contests. As we wrote names on the invitation list, my mom leaned over my shoulder. “What about John?” she asked softly. John had transferred to our class a few months earlier, his math and science grades far outshining everyone else. But he was a quiet loner, never joining group activities, and he wore the same pair of brown corduroy (灯芯绒的) pants to school every single day. “Mom, he can’t even afford a costume,” I frowned, a surge of guilt welling up in me. My family wasn’t wealthy, but my mom was a master at bargain hunting — I’d never had to repeat an outfit. Mom’s brows wrinkled as she walked away to answer her office phone. The next afternoon, Nellie and I were cutting gold paper into pyramid shapes when Mom handed me an envelope. Inside was a gift certificate to our favorite department store, enough to buy several new outfits. “Nellie’s mom and I thought you two could give this to John,” she said before heading back to work. Nellie and I stared at the certificate in awe. “We can’t just hand it to him — that’d shame him,” Nellie said firmly. I nodded, thinking of how John would shrink into himself if we openly offered charity. We talked over ideas — slipping it into his desk, asking the teacher to pass it along — but none felt right. Just as I was about to suggest another plan, Nellie’s eyes lit up. “I’ve got an idea,” she said, snatching the envelope and bouncing on her heels. She giggled and whispered in my ears, “Let’s have a grand prize game.” ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ John’s hand shot up before anyone else, his answer precise and quick. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 试题 第3页(共12页) 试题 第4页(共12页) 试题 第1页(共12页) 试题 第2页(共12页) 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 2025-2026学年高二英语下学期第三次月考卷(北师大版) (考试时间:120分钟 试卷满分:150分) 考生注意: 1. 1. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 1 / 15 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 2025-2026学年高二下学期第三次月考卷(北师大版) (考试时间:120分钟 试卷满分:150分) 英语·全解全析 考生注意: 1. 1. Taking a time-ordered approach, the show tells a life of protest and campaigning for social justice and an artistic practice that adopted a new form.(该展览目前在布鲁克林博物馆展出(持续至2025年6月19日),之后还将前往芝加哥。 故选A。 23. 根据最后一段“This includes religious art, still life and landscape organized into a series of nine themes.(这些作品涵盖了宗教艺术、静物画和风景画,被分为九个主题系列)”可知,From Odesa to Berlin将作品按照不同的主题进行了分类。故选C。 B Watching the motorbike roll out of the hire shop in Thakhek, Laos, I wondered if I was making a terrible mistake. D.Romantic. 根据划线词上文“It was March 2017, and I had agreed to go on a road trip with Travis, an American I’d met just weeks earlier in an international programme in Thailand.(那是2017年3月,我和特拉维斯决定一起进行一次公路旅行。 根据第一段“Travis’s constant efforts to get to know me had worked, and we connected over a shared sense of humour. His suggestion to explore Laos together felt like the natural progression of our friendship.(特拉维斯一直努力了解我,最终他的努力有了成效,我们因共同的幽默感而产生了共鸣。 根据第三段“That all changed in 2004. While backpacking in Sihanoukville, a motorbike crash landed me in a medical clinic with a serious leg injury. Though I promised to be safer in the future, back in London I found myself always trying to avoid motorbikes.(这一切在2004年发生了改变。 根据最后一段“It was a trip that healed my “scars” and supplied me with the confidence to connect more readily with strangers and to adventure more.(这次旅行不仅抚平了我内心的伤痕,还让我重拾信心,使我能够更轻松地与陌生人交流,也能让我更加勇敢地去探索冒险)”可知,作者在老挝的经历是治愈的。故选A。 C Government agencies and volunteer groups in many places are using sea creatures to protect coastal areas from storms and rising sea levels. A.Oyster Farming Has Great Benefits B.Volunteer Ocean Protection Is in Action C.Worldwide Beaches Are Disappearing Fast D.Little Sea Creature Could Save Coastal Land 【答案】28.B 29.A 30.C 31.D 【导语】这是一篇说明文。 由第二段中的“The group has been building steel wire containers, filling them with rocks and whelk (海螺) shells an positioning them along the shoreline of Barnegat Bay. (该组织一直在建造钢丝集装箱,用石头和青螺壳填充集装箱,并将其放置在巴内加特湾的海岸线上)”和第三段中的“Tiny baby oysters are attached to whelk shells and placed in the existing cages to further strengthen the shoreline. 由第四段“The oysters appear to be doing their job. One recent day, a strong east wind blew across the bay. But between the oysters and the shoreline, the water was much calmer, and waves gently wen onto the shoreline instead of hitting it with force. 故选A项。 30. 由第一段中的“Powerful waves can damage lands along the edge of ocean waters. (强大的海浪会破坏海水边缘的陆地)”,第二段中的“Oysters may play an important part in dealing with the problem. Oysters are central to a project that is taking place near Vaccaro’s rebuilt house. The project is being carried out by the Littore Society. 该项目由Littore Society执行)”和倒数第二段中的“A few kilometers south, a group called ReClam the Bay is building an oyster reef to protect the shoreline of Mordecai Island. 由第一段“Government agencies and volunteer groups in many places are using sea creatures to protect coastal areas from storms and rising sea levels. The idea is that large groups of oysters (牡蛎) known as colonies, can help reduce the power of waves. Powerful waves can damage lands along the edge of ocean waters. 强大的海浪会破坏海水边缘的陆地)”,第二段中的“Oysters may play an important part in dealing with the problem. D When planning my wedding, I was determined not to get caught up in the “perfect day”, but to have a relaxed, informal celebration. 根据第二段中“Many of us are driven by the unconscious wish that if we could just have the perfect body, the perfect job and the perfect family, then we would be happy. For that reason, it can be one of the most significant barriers to happiness in life. 根据第三段中“The psychoanalyst Donald Winnicott wrote about the importance of the “good enough mother” who meets her baby’s needs timely, but is not perfect. He said perfect is harmful. To meet every desire immediately, to pass the toy straight away whenever it is demanded slows down a baby’s growth, robbing them of the opportunity to feel frustrated and learn to crawl to get the toy for themselves. 根据第五段中“How can you be a good partner if you expect everyone else to fit your own narrow expectations? How can your child grow if they sense that they always need to color precisely inside the lines you’ve drawn out for them? 通读全文,结合最后一段中“We need to learn to appreciate their humanity and beauty…So for a more delicious life, and ultimately a better one, I choose imperfectionism. 36.前文“We won’t repeat the warnings about children and screen time here, but we admit it: Pulling them away from video game can be tricky, as they’re so addicted.(我们不会在这里重复关于孩子和屏幕时间的警告,但我们承认:让他们远离电子游戏是很棘手的,因为他们太沉迷于电子游戏了)”提到让孩子远离电子屏幕很棘手,因为他们上瘾,D选项“However, sunshine and exercise might change their attitude.(然而,阳光和锻炼可能会改变他们的态度)”起到转折作用,引出下文利用户外活动吸引孩子,符合语境。故选D项。 37.后文“When you get home, have them search for any similar ones in your backyard.(当你回到家,让他们在你的后院寻找任何类似的)”提到回家后让孩子在后院找类似的东西,G选项“Let them appreciate the different flowers and ask about their favorites.(让他们欣赏不同的花朵并询问他们最喜欢的)”指出花朵是可以在户外观察的,且与后文回家找类似事物相呼应。故选G项。 38.后文“You could start a tic-tac-toe game using sticks and rocks or go on a hike and give each other points for each animal or tree they see.(你可以用棍子和石头来玩井字游戏,或者去徒步旅行,为他们看到的每一种动物或树木给对方分数)”列举了用树枝和石头玩井字游戏以及徒步并为看到的动物或树计分等活动,C选项“Have some ideas ready on the fly to keep them occupied.( 随时准备一些点子让他们有事可做)”统领下文这些活动,上下文紧密连接。故选C项。 39.后文“However, sometimes your kid isn’t into it — or is too little to hike any real distance.(然而,有时你的孩子并不喜欢——或者太少以至于不能真正地走远)”提到有时孩子不感兴趣或者太小走不了太远,B选项“A walk in the woods can be great for the whole family.(在树林里散步对全家都很好)”与后面徒步相关内容相联系,上下文紧密连接。故选B项。 40.前文“In that case, let them be the leader and decide your family’s direction.(在这种情况下,让他们成为领导者,决定你家庭的方向)”提到让孩子做领队、决定方向,F选项“You are not necessarily reaching the destination you want to reach.(你不一定会到达你想去的目的地)”与孩子决定方向可能导致的结果相符,且能让孩子对活动有主人翁意识和责任感。 The box of my college textbooks sat in the hallway. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】She giggled and whispered in my ears, “Let’s have a grand prize game.” We immediately started brainstorming, deciding to design a math puzzle—John’s strongest subject. We drafted a problem about calculating pyramid volumes, then ran to ask Mom to check if it was fair but challenging. Mom nodded approvingly, praising our thoughtfulness. The party night was bustling with laughter; everyone danced and played games joyfully. Just as the party hit its peak, I climbed onto a chair. “Time for the grand prize game!” Nellie, next to me, held up a problem sheet and read out the math puzzle. John’s hand shot up before anyone else, his answer precise and quick. The crowd cheered—no one was surprised he’d nailed it. I bounced to him and congratulated him with the envelope. His eyes widened as he opened it, and a bright grin spread across his face when he saw the gift certificate. “Thank you!” he said excitedly. The next Monday, we spotted John striding into the school gate in a neat new shirt and dark jeans, a bright smile lifting at the corner of his mouth. Nellie and I exchanged a knowing glance, our hearts warm with the secret we’d guarded so carefully. We felt proud of our little trick—kindness, we realized, is best when wrapped in respect. 3.词汇激活 行为类 ①决定:decide /determine ②意识到:realize/be aware of ③发现:spot/find 情绪类 ①高兴地:excitedly/feverishly ②惊讶的:surprised/astonished 【点睛】【高分句型 1】We immediately started brainstorming, deciding to design a math puzzle — John’s strongest subject.(运用了现在分词短语作状语 ) 【高分句型 2】The next Monday, we spotted John striding into the school gate in a neat new shirt and dark jeans, a bright smile lifting at the corner of his mouth.(运用了独立主格结构 ) 1 / 15 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 2025-2026学年高二下学期第三次月考卷(北师大版) (考试时间:120分钟 试卷满分:150分) 英语·参考答案 第一部分 听力(共两节,满分30分) 第一节(共5小题;每小题1.5分,满分7.5分) 1—5 BBACB 第二节(共15小题;每小题1.5分,满分 22.5分) 6—10 BABAC 11—15 BAAAB 16—20 CBCCB 第二部分 阅读理解(共两节, 满分50分) 第一节(共15小题;每小题2. 5分, 满分37. 5分) 21.D 22.A 23.C 24.C 25.D 26.D 27.A 28.B 29.A 30.C 31.D 32.B 33.D 34.C 35.C 第二节:(共5小题, 每小题2. 5分, 共12. 5分) 36.D 37.G 38.C 39.B 40.F 第三部分 语言运用(共两节,满分30分) 第一节(共15小题;每小题1分, 共15分) 41.A 42.C 43.A 44.C 45.D 46.D 47.B 48.C 49.B 50.B 51.A 52.A 53.B 54.D 55.C 第二节 (共10小题;每小题1. 5分, 满分15分) 56.the 57.who 58.to stop 59.behaviour/behavior 60.when 61.gave 62.disappointed 63.painfully 64.with 65.working 第四部分 写作(共两节,满分40分) 第一节(满分15分) 【参考范文】 AI has become an indispensable tool in my study.
