(2026·山东滨州·一模)阅读下面短文,从短文后各题所给的A、B、C三个选项中,选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。
Emily is a 14-year-old girl from America. That day, during lunch in the school dining hall, she noticed something 1 happening. Her friend Kate held a hand to her own throat without a word. Her face rapidly turned red, then blue. Though Kate was unable to 2 , Emily knew she was choking (噎住).
At once, Emily jumped from her seat and stood behind Kate. She pushed Kate a bit forward, put her arms around Kate’s waist (腰部), then 3 as hard as she could.
It wasn’t long before a hot dog piece popped (突然弹出) up from Kate’s throat. Thanks to Emily’s 4 action, Kate was free to breathe again.
“I didn’t really think about it—I just did it,” said Emily. “I wasn’t 5 at all, and I knew that I had to do something fast, so I did.” And she did it just right.
The most 6 part of the story is that Emily had known the Heimlich maneuver (海姆立克急救法) for less than 24 hours. Only the night before, she attended a “Home Alone” kids safety class. In class, she and other children learnt basic first aid and 7 how to do the Heimlich maneuver on each other. Clearly, Emily was a really fast 8 ! Passage 1
(2026·山东青岛·一模)The first hot-air balloon was created in 1783. The hot-air balloon is one of the simplest forms of transportation and is still in use today. It uses hot air stuck inside a huge balloon to lift passengers high into the sky. Why can hot air do that? That is because gases are made up of billions of atoms (原子) or molecules (分子) that move around freely. The hotter a gas gets, the faster they move and the farther they spread out, making the gas expand (膨胀).
When the balloon is on the ground, the air inside it is not much warmer than the air outside. Air molecules inside and out are equally spaced (等距)—we say they have the same density (密度). When the pilot heats the air inside the balloon, the molecules spread out. The air in the balloon becomes less dense, which makes it lighter. As a result, the balloon rises. The warmer the air in the balloon gets, the less dense and lighter it gets compared to the heavier, cooler air outside. The balloon rises higher and higher. To bring the balloon back down, the pilot needs to cool the air inside it. He releases (释放) some of the hot air through an opening at the top. Cool air is drawn in at the bottom to take the place of it, and the balloon falls down.
Soon after the first hot-air balloon was flown, people began trying huge balloons that could carry passengers a long way. Called airships, some of these used hydrogen (氢气) instead of hot air because hydrogen has a much lower density than air. However, hydrogen burns, and it caused blow-ups. Today, airships are filled with helium (氦气), which has a low density but doesn’t burn.
1.What can we know about hot-air balloons according to the text?
A.They can move around freely. B.They fly higher than other airships.

3.Why is helium used in modern airships instead of hydrogen?
A.It’s easier to produce than hydrogen. B.It’s light and it’s safer than hydrogen.
C.It can make airships fly much faster. D.It can spread out faster than hydrogen.
4.Why can birds use rising air to fly higher?
A.Warm air rises and lifts them up. B.The Sun carries them upward.
C.The wind directly pushes them up. D.The ground gives them power.
5.What is the text mainly about?
A.It tells the history and safety rules of old airships.

Passage 2
(2026·山东济南·一模)Wu Hongbo, a visitor from Dalian, recently used AI to plan a tour of Shanxi. By telling the AI app about his travel plans, he received a week-long plan made just for him covering transportation, places of interest and hotel information.
As a martial arts (武术) novel fan, Wu had long dreamed of visiting Yanmen Pass, a part of the Great Wall featured in his favorite stories. The app recommended (推荐) just that, alongside other cool cultural spots and local dishes. “This AI plan surprised me,” Wu said. “The recommendations perfectly matched my taste, deepening my understanding of Shanxi.”
As travelers look for trips that fit their personal interests, AI “digital (电子的) guides” are helping to make travel planning faster and of higher quality. On Chinese social media (媒体), plans such as “DeepSeek’s five-day trip to Shandong” and “AI’s two-day trip to Chengdu” are becoming very popular. During a trip, AI can also give real-time guidance. With voice and location technology, the AI guide is just like a personal guide. It tells visitors the history, culture and special features of the places of interest.
Liu Xilei, a visitor from Hebei province, did not ask for a human tour guide when he visited the Jinci Temple in Taiyuan. Instead, he used the AI chatbot Doubao as his tour guide. Liu said he learned a lot about the temple’s history, buildings and culture. The travel app Mafengwo has started an “AI Local Guide” programme. It asks local people who have lived there for over five years to train the AI, giving each guide its own local style. For example, the AI in Fujian recommends small restaurants with ginger duck, while the one in Guizhou helps people find the best spicy food.
“These AI tour guides show the true spirit of a city,” said Mafengwo’s Sun Yunlei. “In the future, AI tour guides will work with human guides. Together, they will provide better and more personal travel services and make trips more wonderful,” said Li Xinjian from Beijing International Studies University.

B.Where to find AI chatbots in travel.
C.AI travel plans are popular on social media.
D.AI helps make travel easier and more personal.
Passage 3
(2026·山东济南·一模)In August 2025, 280 robot teams from 16 countries gathered in Beijing for the first World Humanoid (人形) Robot Games. They competed in football, athletics, dance, and martial arts (武术). It looked like science fiction — but it was very real.
Behind the fun lies a serious competition between nations. China is taking the lead. According to Omdia, about 13,000 humanoid robots were shipped worldwide in 2025. Of these, 87% came from Chinese companies. American companies like Tesla held just 1%. The difference is huge and growing.
How did China get so far ahead? One answer is strategy (策略). While some Western companies focus on industrial robots, many Chinese companies build robots for “edutainment”—education and entertainment. These robots dance in malls and perform at sports events.
At first, this might seem less important. But experts say it has a deeper purpose. By putting thousands of robots into real-world use, Chinese companies collect valuable data about power, life and movement. This helps them improve technology quickly.
This strategy also creates a supply chain (供应链). Producing thousands of robots requires many parts. This builds an industry ecosystem. As production increases, costs come down. China is making robots cheaper and better.
However, hardware (硬件) is only half the story. Robots also need software — the “brain” that controls them. In March 2026, China introduced a new national standard for robot control systems. For the first time, different robots can share the same “brain”.
This standard was developed by many universities and companies including Huawei. It means a factory robot could be reprogrammed to work on a farm. Software can be reused like building blocks.
The robot race is about shaping the future. As robots enter homes and hospitals, the leading country will help decide how humans and machines live together. For now, China’s strategy is working. The robots dancing on stage today may be the ones helping in homes tomorrow. The race has just begun, and China is running fast.
1.What is the main purpose of paragraph 1?
A.To list all the sports in the Robot Games. B.To describe what the robots look like.
C.To introduce the Robot Games held in China. D.To predict the future of robot technology.
2.What advantage does China’s “edutainment” strategy bring?
A.It enables robots to be more intelligent. B.It focuses more on factory robots.
C.It helps collect useful performance data. D.It reduces the need for robot parts.
3.Why is the new national standard important?
A.It makes all robots look the same. B.It allows different robots to share software.
C.It stops foreign robots entering China. D.It increases the cost of robot production.
4.What does the writer think of China’s future in robotics?
A.Promising. B.Stuck. C.Educational. D.Uncertain.
5.In which section of a newspaper can we probably read the text?
A.Entertainment. B.Education. C.Science fiction. D.Technology.
Passage 4
(2026·山东济南·一模)Have you ever wondered what else you can do on the train besides sleeping or browsing (浏览) on your phone? Actually, in China, trains have become new places that bring people and the nation’s intangible cultural heritage (ICH, 非物质文化遗产) together.
Trains go across China and they are becoming great places for introducing local traditional culture. A good example is the K7041 train from Harbin to Mohe in Northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province. On the ICH train, Gulayier, dressed in traditional clothes, sang folk songs and his partner played the Oroqen jaw harp, a musical instrument. Tourists on the train, especially those from southern China, sang and danced excitedly with the two performers. Gulayier said the train made it easier to hold tourists’ attention on his shows. He thought the train was a good platform for promoting (促进) ICH.
Traditional heritage comes to life on trains. More ICH such as Qinhuai lanterns from Nanjing, Yulin puppet shows (木偶戏), and tea-picking operas in Guangxi have also been shown on high-speed trains across China. It offers passengers a close-up way to experience traditional culture.
Professor Xiao Fang from Beijing Normal University shares Gulayier’s opinion on the new use of ICH trains. He has pointed out another advantage of this. Beyond cultural promotion, it offers help for tourism. When passengers enjoy local traditions on board, they often develop a deeper interest in exploring the places they pass through.
However, the ICH train journeys still have challenges, including the small space on trains and passengers getting on and off at each station. So some ways are coming up: cultural corners show traditional arts, and QR codes (二维码) connect to more online information. These help passengers to explore ICH at their own time and continue learning after their journey ends.
The success of ICH trains offers valuable lessons for cultural protection all over the world, proving that new ideas and tradition can work together to keep cultural heritage alive.
1.What is the new experience for passengers on the K7041 train?
A.Traveling farther north. B.Having fun on the phone.

3.What does Paragraph 5 talk about?
A.Reasons and results. B.Future and dreams.
C.Problems and solutions. D.Advantages and influence.
4.What can we infer from the text about the future of ICH trains?
A.They will become the only way to promote ICH.
B.They will replace traditional museums.
C.They will be closed because of the small place.
D.They will use technology to solve problems.
5.What can be the best title for the text?
A.Trains Help Spread China’s Cultural Heritage.
B.China provides help for local artists on ICH trains.
C.More and more ICH trains are in service across China.

Passage 5
(2026·山东济南·二模)Sleep helps your body and brain. It keeps you healthy, happy, and strong! Yet many people don’t realize the importance of getting enough sleep. That’s why World Sleep Day comes around every March! It’s a great time to learn how sleep helps you in many ways.
Sleep can make you stronger. When you sleep, your body gets busy fixing itself. It is like a tiny construction site (微型建筑工地)! The “workers” inside your body repair your muscles and tissues (肌肉和组织). They also help make your immune system (免疫系统) stronger. Getting enough sleep helps you wake up feeling healthy and full of energy (精力).
Sleep can help you grow taller. For kids and teenagers, sleep plays an important role in their growth. A study shows that not getting enough sleep can lead to children being shorter. When you sleep, your body releases a growth hormone (激素). The more growth hormones it makes, the taller you will grow. So if you want to grow taller, you know what to do.
Sleep can also help you remember information. When you sleep, your brain doesn’t stop working. Instead, it does different activities, especially during a time called REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep.
During this time, your brain goes over what you learned in the day. This helps you remember things better. If you read a book or practice a speech before bed, your brain can remember the information more easily. That’s a smart way to study!
The science of sleep shows its importance to your body and mind. As you lie down each night, think about the amazing progress happening in your body.
1.How does the writer explain how the body fixes itself during sleep?
A.By telling an interesting story. B.By comparing one thing to another.
C.By sharing some personal opinions. D.By showing some typical examples.
2.What does the underlined word “releases” in Paragraph 3 probably mean in Chinese?
A.压缩 B.控制 C.分解 D.释放
3.Which of the following can help you remember new English words better?
A.Going over them only once in the day. B.Learning them as soon as you wake up.
C.Eating something before learning them. D.Reading and writing them down before bed.
4.Which of the following shows the structure of the passage? (①=Paragraph1, ②=Paragraph 2, …)
A.B. C. D.
5.Why did the writer write the passage?
A.To explain the importance of sleep. B.To introduce an important holiday.
C.To show ways of having a healthy body. D.To give advice on how to have a good sleep.

How Does Paper Get Made?
Why Is the Earth Round But the Road Looks Flat?
Step 1: Paper starts from trees. The trees are cut into wood, and the wood is cut into small pieces called chips.
Step 2: Chips are mixed with water and crushed into a soft, wet paste called wood pulp.
The Earth is round One trip around the Earth is about 40,000 km.
Our eyes can only see a short distance. The part we see is less than 0.000196 of the Earth. The Earth is already curved, but it’s just too small to see.
Step 3: The pulp is spread out very thin on a moving screen. Water gets away, and the pulp turns into a wet sheet that looks like paper.
Step 4: The wet sheet is pressed by heavy rollers. Then it goes through hot dryers to dry up all the water.
What shows the Earth is round?
▪ Ships disappear from the bottom first.
▪ From higher places, we can see farther.
▪People on mountains see the sunrise earlier.
Step 5: The dry paper is cut into different sizes. Now it’s ready to become books, notebooks, or boxes!
1.What is the right process in “Trees→ ________ →Wet Sheet”?
A.Wet Sheet→Wood→Chips→Pulp B.Wood→Chips→Wet Sheet→Pulp
C.Chips→Pulp→Wet Sheet→Wood D.Wood→Chips→Pulp→Wet Sheet
2.Where is the pulp spread out?
A.On a hot dryer. B.On a moving screen. C.In a wet paste. D.In a huge box.
3.Why does the road look flat?
A.Because the Earth is not really round.
B.Because our eyes can see most of the surface.
C.Because the road is much bigger than the Earth.
D.Because eyes can only see a small part of the Earth.
4.According to the passage, which pictures show the Earth is round?
A.①②③ B.①③④ C.②③④ D.①②④
5.The two pages are from the same book. What is this book most probably about?
A.Science. B.Health. C.Travel. D.History.
Passage 7
(2026·山东济宁·一模)①Do you know about triangles (三角形)? A triangle is a shape which has three straight sides. We learn this beautiful shape in maths. In fact, you can find many things in the shape of triangles around us, such as sandwiches.
②Triangles are useful in our daily life. For example, we use lots of triangles when we build bridges. People and cars go across the bridge. The bridge carries a lot of weight. They are also useful for heavy buildings. Think about the Eiffel Tower in France, standing at 324 meters tall: What shape do you see there? Yes! You see triangles. Why do people use triangles to build heavy and tall buildings? It’s not an accident. Each of the three sides supports the other two, so a triangle will not change shape unless its sides are broken. A triangle can bear weight and is not easy to change, so it can hold a lot of weight. It can keep its shape over time and give support to these buildings to stay standing for years to come.
③Are triangles always useful? If there is a big earthquake, what do you do? Hide under a table or in the toilet? Someone says people should stay next to a tall and heavy thing. When the ceiling (天花板) falls on that thing, they will make a triangle-shaped space for people to stay in. He calls it the “Triangle of Life”. However, some scientists don’t agree with him. They believe that it’s difficult to know where the triangles will be, because things move during earthquakes. Also, it’s not safe to stay next to heavy things. Studies show heavy things falling kill more people than ceilings do. When considering the use of triangles, we should also think about the conditions.
④After all, we should make good use of triangles, maybe just little things. Think about the last time you stood on a moving bus. Did you stand with your feet apart (分开地)? Then, you just made yourself a triangle!
1.How does the writer lead into the topic in this passage?
A.By asking a question. B.By giving an example.
C.By showing some facts. D.By listing some numbers.
2.When can people use triangles according to Paragraph ②?
a. When there is a fire. b. When we build bridges.
c. When we make a sandwich. d. When we build heavy and tall buildings.
A.ab B.cd C.ac D.bd
3.Why do scientists think finding the “Triangle of Life” is a bad idea in earthquakes?
A.Because the idea “Triangle of Life” only works in big earthquakes.
B.Because triangles are only used in building bridges or heavy things.
C.Because things will move and it is difficult to find a “Triangle of Life” place.
D.Because it is hard to find a tall and heavy thing to make a “Triangle of Life” place.
4.Which of the following shows the structure of the passage?
A.①/②③④ B.①/②③/④ C.①②③/④ D.①/②/③④
Passage 8
(2026·山东德州·一模)
①Imagine a person who cannot move or speak because of illness. Now, imagine this person controlling a smart home, or even moving a robotic arm-just by thinking. This is not science fiction. Companies like Neuralink are working to make it real. They are developing a technology called Brain-Computer Interface (BCI脑机接口) to create a direct connection between the human brain and computers.
②BCI is a system that allows information to flow directly between the brain and an outer machine, like a computer or a robotic arm. The key idea is to “read” the brain’s electrical signals, decode (解码) them using machine learning, and translate them into orders. While it sounds super-modern, it has been around for many years in science fiction. Real research began in the late 20th century, focused on helping people with disabilities. Today, with the development of neuroscience (神经科学) and artificial intelligence (AI), BCI technology is developing faster than ever.
③The possible uses of BCI can change many parts of our personal lives.
④For people with serious disabilities, BCI can be a window to the world. It’s possible for them to move again or search online by using their thoughts.
⑤After a tiring day, BCI could create much pleasure and educational experiences in reality, where you control the game or simulation (模拟) with your mind.
⑥BCI also provides much convenience for the public services. For example, firefighters might use it to control robots in dangerous places, keeping themselves safe. In the future, it could even help manage traffic systems by understanding drivers’ stress level.
⑦Although there is exciting progress, making BCI work perfectly is quite challenging. The brain is really complex (复杂的). Reading clear signals often requires small electrodes to be put in, and this will carry risks. Besides, scientists are still learning the “language” or the signals of the brain and should explain meanings correctly every time, that is to say, we should improve the ability of decoding the brain. And this technology raises big ethical (伦理的) questions about privacy (隐私), fairness, and what it means to be human. After all, the journey of BCI has just begun. Stay hungry for knowledge, and don’t be afraid to imagine the impossible.
1.How does the writer begin the passage?
A.By imagining a situation. B.By telling a story.
C.By asking questions. D.By listing reasons.
2.According to the passage, which of the following is a correct use of BCI technology?
A.Put textbook knowledge into students’ brains to get good grades.
B.Help people who can’t move or speak to control a robotic arm with thoughts.
C.Read some people’s brain thoughts to check their daily privacy.
D.Treat serious brain illnesses completely for sick people.
3.What can we learn from the passage?
A.BCI helps the information to flow between the brain and body.
B.Real early research on BCI was mainly used for educational purposes.
C.Neuroscience and AI have developed rapidly thanks to BCI technology.
D.BCI can be used to improve medical service and education in daily life.
4.According to the last paragraph, what are the challenges that BCI faces?
①The complexity of the brain.
②The ability of language learning.
③The ethical questions.
④The ability of decoding the brain.
A.①②③ B.①②④ C.①③④ D.②③④
5.Which of the following shows the structure of this passage?
A. B.
C. D.

Passage 1
(2026·山东菏泽·一模)阅读下面短文并填空,然后将答案写到答题卡的相应位置(如有提示词,则填入提示词的正确形式;如无提示词,则填入1个适当的单词)。
“Love you, laoji” is a catchphrase now. Literally, “laoji” means “the old self”. Although calling ourselves this way is a bit funny, it makes us feel warm at heart. It’s like 1 (talk) to a good old friend—relaxed and caring. To ring in the New Year, here are some 2 (tip) for you to love laoji more in the coming year.
Don’t chase perfection. Waiting to be perfect often 3 (mean) never starting. Many people put things off because they’re afraid of making mistakes. 4 doing something imperfect is better than doing nothing at all. Start small. Learn as you go. The first step matters most.
Take real rest. Real rest isn’t sleeping all day 5 staying up late on your phone. That only makes you more tired. Try active rest—gentle 6 (activity) that help your body and mind recover. Feel the sunshine, go for a walk, stretch a little, or listen 7 music you like. Choose one or two small things each day to recharge (充电).
Talk to yourself 8 (kind). Pay attention to how you talk to yourself. When things go wrong, don’t be too hard on laoji. Try saying, “It’s okay,” or “I’ll try again next time.” Treat 9 (you) the way you would treat a good friend.
Truly loving “laoji” is very simple: eat 10 hot meal when you are hungry, have a good rest when you’re tired, don’t be too hard on yourself when you make mistakes, and accept the imperfect daily life.
Passage 2
(2026·山东青岛·一模)
In recent years, artificial intelligence 1 (develop) very quickly. A new tool 2 (call) OpenClaw has recently attracted a lot of attention online. OpenClaw is designed as an AI agent that can perform tasks on a computer automatically. By doing things step by step, the program can understand instructions and complete many tasks by 3 (it). For example, if a user asks OpenClaw to collect information about a topic, it may search the Internet, read webpages and 4 (/ˈɔːɡənaɪz/) the results into a short report. In this way, it can help people finish some work quickly and save time.
However, experts point out that tools like OpenClaw are still developing. They may make mistakes and are not safe. 5 human guidance is still very important. Some technology lovers have already begun to experiment with OpenClaw. They hope that AI tools will make daily work 6 (simple) than now. At the same time, many people believe that AI should 7 (use) carefully. Instead of replacing human thinking, it should be treated 8 a helpful assistant.
As technology continues to develop, people will probably see more tools like OpenClaw in the coming years. Learning how 9 (work) with such tools may become an important skill for students and workers. In the end, the key question is not whether AI 10 (take) humans’ place in the future, but how humans can work better together with AI.

Besides, horses were very useful in people’s daily life long ago. In ancient times, they played 8 important role in trade and transportation. For example, the Silk Road depended on horses to carry goods (货物) between the East and the West, making horses a true bridge between cultures.
Both in the East and the West, horses carry a powerful message. They remind us of the human spirit and the 9 (important) of cultural connection. They 10 (true) express people’s wishes to build a better future together.
Passage 4
(2026·山东济南·一模)阅读下面短文,在空白处填入1个适当的单词或括号内单词的正确形式。
At the opening ceremony of the 15th National Games, something amazing happened. A huge, colorful lantern 1 (swim) through the gym like a fish in water. This was Aoyu — a magical animal from old Chinese legends (传说).
In ancient times, people believed that carp (鲤鱼) tried 2 (jump) over the Dragon Gate to become dragons. But those that didn’t make it would turn 3 Aoyu, with a dragon’s head and a fish’s body.
In Lingnan culture — 4 (south) China, including Guangdong, Guangxi and Hainan — Aoyu 5 (consider) a symbol of good luck. If you visit old villages there, you can see pictures of Aoyu on the rooftops (屋顶) of temples and old houses, which were placed there to wish for 6 (protect) from fire. Local people believe Aoyu can keep bad things away and bring peace to 7 (they) families.

The Aoyu lantern at the Games is truly wonderful. Its 128 special scales (鳞片) change colors and move 10 (beautiful) to the music. The big fish can fly, turn, and dance in the air. It shows everyone how ancient Chinese stories come to life in new and fun ways.

Passage 1
(2026·山东济宁·一模)阅读下面短文,从方框中选择适当的词语填空。方框中有两个词语为多余选项。
right; out; describe; different; bottom; left; top; directions; shopping
Why do we say maidongxi (买东西) instead of mainanbei, yijian xiangzuo (意见相左) instead of yijian xiangyou, and shangcesuo (上厕所) instead of xiacesuo? Many Chinese words have 1 in them, and there is lots of history and culture hidden behind.
Where to buy things
When going 2 , Chinese people say maidongxi, instead of mainanbei. It is said that in the Tang Dynasty, there were two popular markets in Chang’an. One was called the East Market, and the other was called the West Market. When shopping, people usually went to the East Market first, and then went to the West Market. As time went by, people started to 3 shopping as maidongxi.
Left or right
In Chinese, we say yijian xiangzuo when we have 4 opinions. Why is it not yijian xiangyou?
Most people are right-handed. They feel uncomfortable if they try to use their left hands to write or use chopsticks. This was true in old times as well. So in Chinese, “ 5 ” is always thought to be different, such as yijian xiangzuo.
Up or down
We use shangcesuo instead of xiacesuo to mean “go to the bathroom”. Why?
In ancient times, houses were laid 6 in a certain way. The gate of the house would face south, with the bathroom in the northeastern part of the house. On maps, north is usually at the 7 . In Chinese, we talk about “the north” as shang. So people would say they were going “up” to the bathroom rather than going “down” to the bathroom.

Have you ever heard an old saying “A blessing in disguise (因祸得福)”? It means bad luck can turn into something totally 1 . With the 2026 Year of the Horse coming up, a strange toy became a perfect example of this old wisdom.
It all started with a goof (乌龙). A man in Hangzhou bought a plush (毛绒的) horse online to celebrate the New Year. 2 when he opened the box, he was shocked to find the horse’s mouth was sewn (缝制) upside down! Looking at this “Crying Horse”, he thought it was 3 and posted a photo online.
What happened next was completely unexpected. 4 of complaining (抱怨), tons of young people fell in love with this “ugly-cute” toy. Feeling stressed in daily life, they felt this crying face really expressed their feelings. It reminded 5 that it’s okay to be a little sad sometimes.
Seeing this, the factory bosses in Yiwu acted 6 to produce more. Even though it started as a production mistake, it became a huge hit. They opened 10 new production lines 7 just 48 hours. The increase in sales was crazy.
This is a real “blessing in disguise”. The 8 time you face a small mistake, remember the “Crying Horse”—a mistake isn’t the end of the world, it might just turn into something wonderful. The best things may happen completely by 9 , not by plan. After all, it was a simple sewing mistake that brought joy to 10 of people.

On April 19, 2025, the world’s first half-marathon for humanoid (人形的) robots was held in Beijing. The robots waited beside human runners, starting from the same line.
“I saw many robots running. Some were surprisingly fast, others had very lovely designs, and their running styles were quite different,” said Zhang Huihui, who took part in the race.
During the 21-kilometer-long race, the robots had to run on two legs. Some even wore running shoes. Each robot was supported by a team of human guides, operators (操作员) and engineers. They could have their batteries changed during the race. Teams could even use new robots when the old ones could no longer run.
There were 20 teams in the race and six of them finished it. Tiangong Ultra won the first place in two hours and 40 minutes. “It crossed the finish line about 30 minutes earlier than expected,” said Xiong Youjun, CEO of a robot center. “In general, all the robots today could deal with challenges such as turns and speed bumps. We made history together.”
“Robots’ completing the race isn’t the finish line. It’s the starting point for the growth of the robot industry,” said Liang Liang, from Yizhuang’s Administrative Committee.

In Fujian, the Lunar New Year is celebrated in a truly special way called “You Shen” (God-Parade). This event is a cultural practice that includes religious belief, art, and community spirit.
During the New Year, Fujian people make statues of gods (神像), who are believed to bring good luck and protection. These statues are placed on beautifully decorated flower cars, which are then paraded (被游行) through the streets, creating an environment full of joy. What makes You Shen unique among all the Spring Festival celebrations is its deep spiritual connection—something other celebrations do not have. Usually, people don’t only watch the parade but also take part in it, believing that they can get good luck and happiness in the coming year.
The tradition of You Shen dates back to ancient times when villagers carried statues of gods to ask for good farming and safety. Over the centuries, it has grown into a wonderful festival that marks the Lunar New Year in Fujian. More than a religious ritual (宗教仪式), You Shen symbolizes sharing hope. The god’s journey through the streets is seen as a way to spread good luck to every home. Also, neighbors stay closer by working together to prepare for the parade.
For Fujian people, You Shen is a cultural treasure. It is known for connecting modern life with ancient wisdom, reminding people to value (重视) tradition and stay connected as a community. Even as times change, laughter and music during the ritual keep the tradition alive, filling people’s hearts with warmth and hope for the future.

2.What does the underlined word “unique” probably mean?
3.What helps neighbors stay closer according to the passage?
4.Why is You Shen famous?

“I can’t believe the robot can make delicious food. I had two dishes and I only spent 15 yuan,” says Aunt Wang. She just finished her breakfast at an AI canteen (食堂).
The canteen is about 130m². It’s on Hongqiao Road in Shanghai. The opening hours of the canteen are from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. every day. It uses smart machines and computers to do things like cooking food and serving meals. It’s like having a robot chef and waiter all in one place! It can serve about 300 people every day, and most of them are old people living nearby or office workers in the area.
At the canteen, people need to order food on a screen first. If people are not sure what to eat, they can ask the canteen’s robots for advice. Then, the robots cook the dishes according to the order. They can make different kinds of Chinese dishes like Gongbao chicken and Mapo tofu. It takes a robot less than 5 minutes to cook a vegetable dish. People can eat the food there and they can also take the food away.
At the self-service area, people simply need to place their dishes on a smart cash desk and they can know the prices of their meals. People can pay in different ways, like using bank cards or QR codes (二维码). The prices of the food at the AI canteen are pretty low. Every meat dish costs only 8 yuan while every vegetable dish costs only 3.5 yuan.
“The meals cooked by robots taste as good as those cooked by humans. It is cheap and convenient for us to eat in the AI canteen,” said an old man. AI is changing our life. Now, more and more people go to the AI canteen from faraway places to have a meal.

C.They’re the oldest form of travel. D.They work by heating the air inside.
2.Which picture best describes “The hot-air balloon is falling down.”?
A. B. C. D.
B.It shows how people heat and cool hot-air balloons.
C.It introduces how birds use rising air to fly in the sky.
D.It explains the science of hot air and its uses in flying.
【答案】1.D 2.C 3.B 4.A 5.D

Passage 3
介绍了阿里巴巴开发的人工智能模型家族“千问(Qwen)”
【答案】1.directions 2.shopping 3.describe 4.different 5.left 6.out 7.top
【导语】本文主要通过三个例子解释了汉语中一些常见表达背后的历史文化原因,说明这些词语与古代中国的方位文化、生活习惯密切相关。
1.句意:许多中文单词都有方向,而且背后隐藏着许多历史和文化。根据“Where to buy things...Left or right...Up or down”及备选词可知,此处指中文词汇中包含方向词,空处应用复数名词作宾语;directions“方向”,复数名词。故填directions。
2.句意:当去购物时,中国人说买东西,而不是买南北。根据“When going…Chinese people say maidongxi, instead of mainanbei.”及备选词可知,此处指“当去购物时”,go shopping“购物”,动词短语。故填shopping。
3.句意:久而久之,人们开始把购物说成是买东西。根据“As time went by, people started to…shopping as maidongxi.”
根据“In Chinese, we say yijian xiangzuo when we have…opinions.”及备选词可知,“意见相左”意味着“有不同意见”,空处应用形容词作定语,修饰后面的名词opinions;different“不同的”,形容词。故填different。
5.句意:所以在中国,“左”总是被认为是不同的,如意见相左。根据“So in Chinese…is always thought to be different, such as yijian xiangzuo.”及备选词可知,此处指“左”被用来表示不同的意见;left“左”,名词。故填left。
6.句意:在古代,房子是按照一定的方式布置的。根据“In ancient times, houses were laid…in a certain way.”及备选词可知,此处指房子的布局;lay out“布局”,动词短语。故填out。

During the New Year, Fujian people make statues of gods (神像), who are believed to bring good luck and protection. These statues are placed on beautifully decorated flower cars, which are then paraded (被游行) through the streets, creating an environment full of joy.
Passage 3
(2026·山东济宁·一模)阅读短文,根据要求完成下面小题。
If you want to help protect the environment and save the planet, we’ve got some easy ways of going green.
·Avoid food waste
Go green and know the importance of finishing your meals to avoid food waste. Do your bit to save the planet as well by planning your meals for the week, so you only buy what you need.
·Use reusable bottles
Earth Day is a great time for you to drink from reusable water bottles when you’re out and about. You should form good water-saving habits around the house, too.
·Try more plant-based meals
Try to eat less meat. It’s a surprisingly simple way we can all use to help save the planet. Try with one day a week to get you started, and then expand to more days when possible.
·Cut down on the air conditioner (空调)
Whenever you can, go green and open the window for some natural air. If you can’t live without your air conditioner, set it at between 25℃ and 27℃ for the most energy-efficient (节能的) temperature.
·Wise up to (意识到) recycling
You don’t need us to tell you how important it is to reduce, reuse and recycle. Becoming a less “throw away” society is a great message to pass on. Don’t throw away perfectly good things just because you are sick of them, or no longer use them. Instead, give them to others or list them on a free collection site online.
·Know more about nature

1.How many ways of going green are there in the text? (no more than 2 words)
2.According to the writer, what can we do to avoid food waste? (no more than 15 words)

AI and My Life
AI is changing our lives, bringing great convenience and new challenges at the same time. In my daily life, AI helps me a lot. With learning apps, I can practice spoken English and check homework efficiently, which saves much time. When I feel tired, AI music and translation tools also bring me fun.
However, it also causes problems. Once I spent too much time on AI chat tools and neglected my revision, leading to a worse exam result. Besides, over-reliance on AI may make me lazy to think independently.
In my opinion, we should make good use of AI as a helper. We must control our time wisely and keep learning on our own. Only in this way can AI truly benefit our life.

I find that the correct learning method is the most effective. First, make a clear study plan and break tasks into small parts. This helps us focus on what to do step by step. Second, learn to solve problems by ourselves before asking for help. Last but not least, review regularly to check our progress.
