Zootopia 2, the long-awaited sequel to Disney’s 2016 animated film, has become a huge success in China. Since its release on November 26, the movie has not only scored remarkable box office (票房) results but also earned widespread praise from audiences of all ages.
According to movie data platforms like Dengta, the film earned over 1 billion yuan within just four days. Its opening-day box office hit 228 million yuan, setting a new record for imported animated films in China. Many cinemas were full of people on weekends, with tickets for popular showtimes selling out fast. Third, the movie delivers a positive and easy-to-grasp theme. It talks about courage, growing up together, and unfair judgment, which matches the values that teenagers learn in school.
Unlike some other Hollywood films that failed to connect with Chinese audiences, Zootopia 2 wins hearts by combining true emotion, respect for local culture, and long-term effort. It goes to show that a good movie with sincere feelings and cultural respect can be popular anywhere.

四、七选五
When our school announced the annual English drama competition, our class decided to stage a shortened version of Hamlet. 1 However, with only three weeks to prepare, we quickly realized this would be our biggest challenge.
Our first rehearsals (排练) were in a mess. Everyone had different interpretations of how scenes should be performed. Arguments frequently broke out about character portrayals and stage movements. 2 Our progress was minimal, and frustration was growing.
The turning point came when our literature teacher reminded us that our shared goal was to present the best performance possible, not to prove whose idea was best. 3 Sarah, who had excellent organizational skills, took charge of scheduling and coordination. Mark, with his creative flair, designed our simple but effective sets. Meanwhile, I found my speciality in helping others with pronunciation and emotional expression.
Communication became our most valuable tool. When two actors disagreed about a key scene, instead of arguing, we sat down together and read through the original text. 4 This not only solved the conflict but actually improved the scene.
On performance night, everything came together beautifully. The audience responded with enthusiastic applause. 5 More importantly, we discovered capabilities in ourselves we hadn’t recognized before. The experience taught us that teamwork doesn’t weaken individual talents — it strengthens them.
A.This proposal immediately changed our approach.
B.We were originally confident that it would be an easy task.
C.We were proud of our performance, but that wasn’t the only reward.
D.No one was willing to give in, and we seemed to be getting nowhere.
E.Sometimes the best solution comes from listening rather than insisting.
F.We then assigned roles based on everyone’s unique strengths and interests.
G.This discussion unfortunately led to more confusion about the play’s theme.

And her partner Nick always uses his casual manner to hide the bruises from a childhood of being judged. The film is not only interesting but also carries a meaningful 9 . It conveys the importance of cooperation, friendship and the idea that 10 is a community’s greatest strength, by telling the story of different animals working together and finally becoming good friends. Zared Bush, the Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney, explained why people everywhere can 11 with the film: “The fun part about Zootopia is that everyone can see themselves in one of the animals. It could be you, your friend, your teacher, or even a stranger.”
However, the great success is never easy to achieve. It requires 12 from every actor and producer involved. 13 , Oscar-winning actor Ke Huy Quan, who voices the character Gary De’ Snake, shared that he recorded a single line in six different ways — and only his thirty-fifth try was finally approved. The person guiding Mr. Quan through was the film director, who is known for his 14 to achieve perfection. “We’ve made up our mind to make movies that will endure the test of time,” he said in a recent interview.

Nearly 60% of the audience are under 29, including plenty of teenage viewers like junior and senior high school students.
What makes it so popular? First, the film tells a touching story full of friendship and trust. The special bond between Judy the rabbit and Nick the fox really resonates with people. This classic friendship from the first movie is revisited in the sequel, becoming a hot topic on social media platforms like Douyin and Xiaohongshu, where many young viewers share posts and chat about it with friends. Second, Disney did well in the adaptation to local culture. The studio brought back the original Chinese voice actors, including Ji Guanlin and Zhang Zhen, which made fans feel a strong sense of familiarity and connection. Plus, Shanghai Disneyland features a unique Zootopia-themed area, and there are over 60 brand cooperations—like blind boxes and limited-edition drinks—all of which help attract more fans.
