Later in the summer, Tom decided to go digging for buried (埋藏) treasure. He found Huck and told him all about the places that robbers hid their treasure and a treasure map.
One day, they decided they would start digging under a dead tree near the haunted house. They talked about what they would do with their treasure. Huck said he would spend his treasure so his father couldn’t get any of it. They dug for a while, and then gave up and tried another place. There was no treasure there, either. Tom realized they should return at midnight to dig again. As a result, the boys failed to find treasure that night. Finally they both agreed that the next day they would dig in the haunted house, and Huck believed they were taking chances to get treasure if they did.
They met again with their tools and went to the haunted house. They explored the downstairs. As they were getting ready to leave, they heard two men coming to the door of the house. Scared, the boys hid themselves upstairs to see who they were. They recognized one man. It was Injun Joe! The unknown man was saying something dangerous. Tom and Huck were scared to death, so they stayed quiet. The men were talking about some “work” that the unknown man believed to be too dangerous. Tom and Huck couldn’t believe they were watching real robbers bury treasure! It included thousands of dollars in gold and treasure.
The men wanted to bury all their treasure again when Injun Joe started wondering why there were some tools in the house. Surely someone was there, he decided to hide the money somewhere else. He then started looking around the house for the owners of the tools. He was almost up the stairs when the bad wood broke and he fell down. Then the boys walked home quickly.

48.词句猜测题。根据“They talked about what they would do with their treasure. Huck said he would spend his treasure so his father couldn’t get any of it.”可知,前一句提到两人讨论如何处理宝藏,后一句哈克说要把自己的那份花掉,这样父亲就得不到其中任何一点。这里的it指代前文的the treasure。故选A。
49.细节理解题。根据“He found Huck...”和“One day, they decided they would start digging under a dead tree near the haunted house.”可知,汤姆和哈克在枯树下挖宝藏,不是劫匪。故选A。
50.推理判断题。根据“The unknown man was saying something dangerous.”可知,那个陌生男人正在说着一些凶险的事情,可以推断劫匪计划做一件危险的事。故选C。
51.推理判断题。根据“He then started looking around the house for the owners of the tools. He was almost up the stairs when the bad wood broke and he fell down. Then the boys walked home quickly.”可知,印第安・乔发现工具后,打算找工具的主人,还差点走上楼梯,之后男孩们立刻快步回家,男孩们撞见劫匪,还差点被发现,故此时的心情应该是害怕的。故选B。
C
9-dot puzzle
Thinking outside the box is a metaphor (隐喻) often used to describe different, or creative thinking. It shows up in simple things like using paper to make “planes” instead of just writing on it―for example.
The term was first used in 1975 by a company. The Human Resource (HR) offered a 9-dot puzzle to the interviewees who were asked to connect all the dots with only 4 lines. This task actually requires some lateral thinking (跨界思维), so the HR encouraged the interviewees to “think outside the box”. In this case, they needed to look beyond the box and create something else.
To draw those 4 lines, you have to first use up all the ways within the box. Only then can you realize that the problem is the box itself. You need to understand the problem, then solve it.
To think outside the box, you must look beyond a narrow view. Otherwise (否则的话), you wouldn’t find the answer. Thinking outside the box can also force you to widen your horizon. Then you will focus more on opportunities and the willingness to take risks, which encourages people to grow. When we stay in our comfort zone (舒适地带), taking risks, growing, and challenging the normal seem much more frightening. So try to become an effective leader, or a team member.
Whatever you do, think twice: First in the box, then outside the box. Outside-the-box thinking often breaks the routines (常规) and may sound ridiculous (荒谬的). But without thinking outside the box, these people, like Thomas Edison, Isaac Newton, wouldn’t have changed the world in the way they did. Just allow yourself to start thinking outside the box. You’ll be glad you did.
52.What does the underlined word “this” in Paragraph 2 refer to?
A.Connecting all the dots with only 4 lines. B.Thinking outside the box.
C.Taking part in the job interview. D.Taking risks all the time.
53.Which is the right answer to solving the 9-dot puzzle according to the passage?

①Since we were kids, we’ve often been told that “It’s good to share.” Psychologists (心理学家) say that the behavior of sharing is beneficial to setting up positive emotional connection (情感连接).
②Today, the action of sharing takes on more meaning. We are using technology to reduce the money that we spend on goods and services, or to make money out of those that we don’t use all the time. These differ from car shares to home shares, and even to pet shares. It is creating new ways of thinking and is providing services to people when and where they want them.
③The sharing economy (共享经济) meets our need for quality goods and services at good prices. Whether getting cheap designer clothes online or renting out (出租) flats, it benefits both lenders and borrowers, who can save or make money, and even make new friends. Also, it encourages reuse, reducing waste.
④But the sharing economy is not without its problems as it’s developing faster than ongoing supervision (现行监管).
⑤Some companies are taking unfair advantage of this situation to increase their share of the market. In addition, the sharing economy is open to misuse of trust. Some people have experienced loss of things while renting out their homes, and others have found themselves being stolen or attacked while sharing rides.
⑥Moreover, sharing websites collect personal information. Technology to prevent such information from being stolen still needs improvement, and the awareness (意识) of possible risks is low among both service providers and users.
⑦However, there is no doubt that the sharing economy is increasingly related to our daily lives. It is growing at such a speed that we can only imagine what it will include in the future. What will we be sharing next? Who will be sharing and how? And the most interesting question of all—what kind of society will all this sharing take us to?
56.What does the writer think will happen to the sharing economy in the future?
A.It will fail because people don’t trust it. B.It will grow fast but still have problems.
C.It will take over all businesses completely. D.It will exactly stay the same as it is now.

第II卷(共50分)
VI、任务型阅读。(65-66小题,每小题2分,67-68小题,每小题3分,共10分)
阅读下面短文,根据短文内容,完成下列各题。
Nowadays, toy collecting has become increasingly popular among grown-ups. Why are grown-ups so crazy about kids’ toys? Here are some people’s opinions.
I’m a Labubu collector. It looks special with its big eyes, sharp teeth, and creepy (搞怪的) smiles, which make it different from other toys. Labubu’s mix of silly and sweet styles is perfect. That’s why I treasure these little friends!
—Zhou Xin, a programmer,
23, China
I love Jellycat toys. Their soft fur (绒毛) feels gentle in my hands, bringing me back to my sweet childhood memories. After a whole day’s stressful busy work, hugging them takes my worries away. Though they never speak, they seem to understand my feelings with their smiley faces. They’re like caring friends to me.
—Fiona, an office worker,
38, the UK
Toy collecting brings joy and comfort to grown-ups, but it also brings problems. The blind box business, like Labubu from Pop Mart, makes full use of gambling psychology (赌博心理). Young people usually look for the excitement from not knowing what’s inside until they open the box, and some gradually lose control. Hundreds of collectors rush to get them for fear of missing out. This leads them to buy without thinking. For example, Wang Yu, a college student from Shanghai, even borrowed money online to buy Labubu blind boxes, which cost over 50,000 yuan. As a result, he had to ask his family for help.
Collectors should make wise decisions, or Labubu dolls and Jellycat toys may become a threat (威胁) to their bank accounts.
Dr. Liu, a news viewer
65.Does Labubu look special in Zhou Xin’s eyes?
66.What do Jellycat toys mean to Fiona?

阅读下列材料与情景任务,在空格处填入一个的词块或句子。
Reading textbooks is an important part of education. It can sometimes feel like a challenge. Francis P. Robinson, an American professor, developed the SQ3R method to help. It has 5 steps.
Firstly, “S” stands for “survey”. You need to start reading by looking through the textbook quickly. Focus on the titles and picture to find out what the textbook is mainly about. This will help you organize the ideas as you read it later.
In the second step, “Q” means “questions”. The questions you ask must have something to do with the title. For example, the title goes, “Newton’ s First Law (定律) and Second Law”. You may ask, “What are the two laws about?” To dig deeper, you may also ask, “How are the two laws different?” This step will give you a purpose for reading.
3R stands for the other three steps-“read”, “retell” and “review”.
In the “read” part, keep your questions in mind and read actively to find out the answers. You can write notes in your own words, and short phrases are better than long sentences.
Then, it comes to the “retell” part. Use your own words to answer the questions, without looking back at the textbook. It will help you better understand what’s in the book.
Finally, the last step is “review”. You should review your notes to check if you can understand the textbook. If hot, pay special attention in class.
With the help of the SQ3R method, I believe it will be easier for you to read all the textbooks!

【答案】例文
A Conflict with My Best Friend
Last month, I had a conflict with my best friend, Lily. We were planning a class presentation together, but we had different opinions on the topic. I wanted to focus on environmental protection, while she preferred discussing space exploration. Our arguments grew heated, and we stopped talking for days.
One evening, I realized silence was hurting our friendship. I decided to calm down and listen to her perspective. The next day, I asked her to talk privately. I apologized first and shared why the environment mattered to me. To my surprise, she opened up about her passion for space and how it inspired her. We took turns listening carefully without interrupting, then tried to stand in each other’s shoes. Finally, we merged our ideas: a presentation on using space technology to solve environmental issues.
This conflict taught me that differences aren’t bad—they can spark creativity. By learning to control anger, communicate honestly, and respect each other’s views, we not only resolved the problem but also strengthened our friendship. Sometimes, conflicts are like gifts in disguise. They show us how to grow through understanding and compromise.
