The sentences in the thought bubbles are in question order while the sentences in the speech bubbles are in statement order. 2 Work out the rules Read the above sentences again and complete the rules. • When we report a Wh- question, we usually ___________(change/ don’t change) the question into a statement. • However, if the question word is the subject of the object clause, we ___________(change/don’t change) the Wh- question into a statement. change don’t change Other rules 一、核心规则： 1.引导词选择：根据主句的疑问意图，选择对应的特殊疑问词（疑问词不省略，有实际含义）。 例：询问“谁”用who/whom；询问“什么”用what；询问“时间”用when；询问“方式”用how。 2.陈述语序：从句必须是“主语 + 谓语 + 其他”，不能倒装（特殊疑问句原句的倒装语序，转化为宾语从句时要调整为陈述语序）。 ❌ 错误：I don’t know where is he. （从句倒装） ✅ 正确：I don’t know where he is. （从句陈述语序） Other rules 一、核心规则： 3.时态一致：主句是一般现在时，从句可根据实际情况用任意时态；主句是一般过去时，从句需用相应的过去时态（客观真理、客观事实除外，仍用一般现在时）。 例1：He asks what I do. （主句现在时，从句现在时） 例2：He asked what I did. （主句过去时，从句过去时） 例3：She asked why the earth goes around the sun. （客观真理，从句用现在时） Other rules 二、常用特殊疑问词及例句 1. who / whom（谁，询问人） who 可作主语或宾语；whom 只能作宾语（书面语常用，口语中可用who代替）。 •原句：Who is he? （特殊疑问句，倒装） 宾语从句：I don’t know who he is. （陈述语序，who作从句主语） •原句：Whom do you like? （特殊疑问句，倒装） 宾语从句：She asks whom you like. （陈述语序，whom作从句宾语） Other rules 2. what（什么，询问事物、内容） •原句：What is this? 宾语从句：Could you tell me what this is? •原句：What did he say? 宾语从句：I don’t know what he said. （主句现在时，从句过去时，语序正确） Other rules 3. when（何时，询问时间） •原句：When will you come? 宾语从句：She wonders when you will come. •原句：When did they leave? 宾语从句：He asked when they left. Other rules 2. 易错点1：时态不一致 ❌ 错误：He asked how old are you. （主句过去时，从句现在时+倒装） ✅ 正确：He asked how old you were. （主句过去时，从句过去时+陈述语序） 3. 易错点2：混淆疑问词含义 区分：how（方式）、what（内容）、why（原因），避免用错引导词。 ❌ 错误：I don’t know what he goes to school. （疑问词错误，询问方式用how） ✅ 正确：I don’t know how he goes to school. Other rules 4. 易错点3：遗漏引导词 特殊疑问词引导宾语从句时，引导词不能省略（区别于that引导的宾语从句）。 ❌ 错误：I don’t know he is. （遗漏引导词who） ✅ 正确：I don’t know who he is. Other rules 三、陈述语序的特殊情况 当特殊疑问词（who/what/which/whose 等）在从句中充当主语时，原句本身就是 “疑问词 + 谓语 + 其他” 的陈述结构，合并时无需调整语序，直接衔接即可。 What’s the matter?→ I don’t know what’s the matter.
