Unit4 Helping out Starting out and Understanding ideas lend a helping hand What does it mean to "Help Out"? "Helping out" means lending a hand, offering support, or doing something kind for someone else without expecting anything in return. It's about being aware of the needs of others and taking action to make a positive difference. We should help people around us. (express the willingness to help) We're not alone in society. In this unit, let's explore the meaning of lending a helping hand. Have you ever been the rainbow in another's cloud, or the other way around? How can you help others? What can you learn from helping others and being helped? We should help animals in need? We should pass on help. (the value of helping others) ‹#› Share some moment or stoties of helping others At School (在学校) • Help a classmate with homework. • Offer to carry books for someone. • Offer help to a new student in your group. At Home (在家里) • Help parents with daily chores. • Listen to family members attentively( 留心的,注意的). • Express gratitude(感激) for their care. In the Community (在社区) • Do voluntary work as volunteers. • Assist at local library events. • Help elders carry heavy things. ‹#› Read the quotes and guess the meaning Life is short, but helping others can be endless. Doing good for others is the greatest thing. Being kind is always a good thing. What can you learn from the quotes? Helping others is great and meaningful. We should be kind to others and ready to help others. ‹#› Now we are going to read a story about lending a helping hand.Let's read and find What’s the passage about?
