Surrounded by green hills and clear waters, it boasts fresh air and peaceful natural scenery. You can smell tasty kimchi and cold noodles everywhere, hear cheerful Korean folk songs and drum beats, and see colorful traditional costumes. Locals celebrate festivals with lively dances and delicious food, showing warm and unique Korean customs. This charming city mixes beautiful nature and rich culture perfectly. Fearing the worst, Lucy approached the group. Instead of teasing her, she was greeted with bright, excited grins. “We were just talking about your fall!” one student said, leaning forward, “It’s perfect for our project’s opening — raw, chaotic, and totally relatable!” Lucy’s tense shoulders softened, and she let out a shaky laugh. As she stepped closer, the group shifted over to make space, patting the seat beside them. At that moment, she saw that showing her awkward side wasn’t a flaw — it was the spark of a story waiting to be told. Her fall was now being transformed into a dramatic scene. They mapped out the shot: the clatter of her bag, the slow-motion skid, the quiet moment she picked herself up. After slow-motion effects and background music were added, the awkward moment was soon turned into something visually striking. One of them even excitedly suggested using Lucy’s name, as a play on words, for their project: “Lucy Falls”. Lucy smiled to herself, thinking, “Lucy did fall, but this time, I might just leave a lasting impression”, realizing that sometimes even a fall could lead to something extraordinary. 2 / 27 1 / 27 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $学校 班级 姓名 准考证号 密 封 线 2 的 公 精一放《标山以牌:标合限1,5分、少5分) 45 [AJIBJICIID] 44 [AJ[B][CJ[D] 43 [AJ[B][C][D] [AJ[BJICJ[D] 41 [A][B][C][D] [AJIBIICJ[D] [AJ[BJICJ[D] [AJIBIICJIDI [AJ[BJ[CJ[D] 21 [A][B][CJ[D] [AJ[B][C] 4 [AJ[B][C] 3 [AJ[B][C] 2 [AJ[B][C] [AJ[BI[CI 0 的 P 6 3 o 00 o 50 [A][BJ[C][D] 49 [A][BJ[C][D] 48 [A][B][C][D] 46 [A][B][C][D] 30 [A][B][C][D] 29 [A][B]IC][D] 28 [AJ[B]IC][D] 27 [A][BJ[CJ[D] 26 [AJ[B][CJ[D] 10 [A][B][C] 9 [A][B][C] 8 [AJ[BJIC] 7 [AJ[B]ICI 6 [AJ[B][C] 0 0 8 为 @N 55 [AJ[B][CI[D] 54 [AJ[B][CJ[D] 53 [AJ[B][CJ[D] 5 [AJ[B][C][D] 51 [A][B][C][D] 35 [A][B][C][D] 34 [A][B][CI[D] 33 [AI[B][CI[D] 32 [AJ[B][CI[D] 31 [A][BJ[CI[D] 15 [A][B][C] 14 [A][B][C] 13 [A][B][C] 12 [A][B][C] 港华N(请用2B积盖插场) 充液、限子。 .务限社 0 幕器 8 40 [AJ[BJICJ[D][EJ[F][G] 39 [AJ[BJ[CJ[D][EJ[FJ[GI 38 [AJ[BJ[CJ[D][EJ[FJ[G] 37 [AJ[BI[CJ[D][EJ[FJ[G] 36 [AJ[BJ[CJ[D][EJ[FJ[G] 20 [A][B][C] 19 [A][B][C] 18 [AJ[B][CI 17 [AJ[B][C] 16 [AJ[B][C] 2020k耐一海共原头斯健养0口(全限一春) ■ ■ 请在各题耳的答题区域内作答,超出黑色矩形边框限定区域的答案无效4 第四部分写作(共两节,满分40分) 第一节(满分15分) Beautiful Yanji and Its Traditions 第二节(满分25分) Fearing the worst,Lucy approached the group. The best way to see the Scottish Highlands is by train, where you can take in the rolling hills and mystical lochs (湖) from the comfort of your seat. Here are the most popular routes to exploring the Scottish Highlands by train: Loch Ness: 3 hours, 18 minutes by train For those seeking out the legendary Loch Ness monster, Inverness is the closest train station to the famous loch. From the station, travelers can take a bus or taxi to Fort Augustus and board a boat tour to try to spot the creature. As Scotland’s second-largest loch, Loch Ness is a great place to fish or kayak. Fort William and Mallaig: over 5 hours by train Although a long train ride, the trip from Edinburgh to Mallaig, a charming fishing village, is worth it. This route offers some of the best scenery in the world. Travelers can board the 19th-century-inspired Jacobite Steam Train and wind past charming villages, the Morar River and beaches. Ben Nevis: over 5 hours by train Ben Nevis is an ancient volcano that exploded and collapsed on itself to become the tallest mountain in the British Isles. Travelers can take the train to Fort William, a town offering castles, and rugged coastlines along the West Highlands Peninsula. The town is also known as the “Outdoor Capital” of Scotland, so thrill-seekers can go skiing and hiking to their heart’s desire. 21.What can travelers do at Loch Ness? A.Explore the area on foot. B.Discover hidden villages. C.Take a kayaking adventure. D.Take a guided tour of castles. 22.What makes the route to Mallaig special? A.It allows visitors to hike. B.Its duration is relatively short. C.It has a mysterious creature in the village. D.It offers some of the world’s best scenery. 23.What is the author’s purpose of writing this text? A.To describe some historical places. B.To show popular train routes. C.To highlight the convenience of trains. D.To suggest some adventurous activities. 根据Loch Ness部分中的“Loch Ness is a great place to fish or kayak(尼斯湖是一个钓鱼或划皮艇的好地方)”可知,尼斯湖是来一次皮划艇冒险的好地方,故选C。 22. 根据Fort William and Mallaig部分中的“This route offers some of the best scenery in the world(这条路线提供了世界上一些最好的风景)”可知,前往Mallaig的路线提供了世界上一些最佳的风景,故选D。 23. B。 B My son, a kindergartner in a large public school, has a language-based learning disability. He was mainstreamed in a general education classroom and shadowed throughout the day by an aide. We requested this support so he could manage basic 5-year-old tasks that he struggled with like lining up or understanding instructions. The aide stayed by his side for years, guiding him to focus and complete assignments. This constant support aimed to help him in a fast-paced school environment where he needed more time to process. However, I later understood this continuous help had an unexpected negative impact. My son became “prompt-dependent”, always requiring endless nudges (轻推) to begin his work and repeated cues to complete it. This long-term assistance fostered a “learned helplessness”, increasing his reliance on others and decreasing his self-esteem. I realized that students buoyed by too much help become less motivated to act on their own, and he needed to learn independence earlier. At age 12, he still often looked to me for homework assistance. So, last summer, I decided it was time for a change. I enrolled him in a local nature day camp, this time, without an aide. I was nervous, but I knew he needed a safe environment to test his independence and build self-reliance. At camp, my son faced real-life challenges. He encountered Tommy, a boy who often yelled. One day, Tommy told him to “shut up”. My son, encouraged by a counselor (辅导员) , bravely responded, “Keep your mean thoughts in your head.” This empowering moment helped him handle the situation. His glasses also fell into the river during canoeing, but a counselor quickly retrieved them. These experiences proved he could manage new environments with minimal support. Now, my son attends a small, specialized school where he develops his autonomy. His peers encourage him. He brings home imperfect artwork, completed solely by himself, which I prize. He sometimes forgets his water bottle, but I am not concerned. I love seeing who he is in his newfound freedom, growing more self-reliant and confident each day. 24.What initial difficulty did the author's son experience in school? A.Integrating into social groups. B.Processing information quickly. C.Developing interest in learning. D.Mastering new academic contents. 25.What does the underlined word “buoyed” in paragraph 2 most probably mean? A.Supported. B.Rewarded. C.Rescued. D.Trained. 26.What did the camp experiences mainly reveal about the author's son? A.His ability to communicate effectively. B.His talent for enjoying outdoor adventures. C.His growing capacity for self-reliance. D.His need for some continued support. 27.How does the author feel about her son's current development? A.Worried but hopeful. B.Conflicted and uncertain. C.Satisfied and appreciative. D.Critical yet understanding. 根据文章第一段“This constant support aimed to help him in a fast-paced school environment where he needed more time to process. (这种持续的支持旨在帮助他在节奏紧张的学校环境中更好地应对,因为在那样的环境中他需要更多时间来消化信息。)”可推知,作者的儿子在学校难以快速处理信息。故选B。 25.词句猜测题。根据文章第二段“This long-term assistance fostered a “learned helplessness”, increasing his reliance on others and decreasing his self-esteem. I realized that students buoyed by too much help become less motivated to act on their own, and he needed to learn independence earlier. (这种长期的援助导致了“习得性无助”的产生,使他更加依赖他人,同时降低了自身的自尊心。我意识到,那些被过多buoyed的学生往往会变得缺乏自主行动的动力,所以他需要更早地学会独立。)”可推断,长期过度的支持和帮助让孩子产生习得性无助,更加依赖他人、缺乏自信与自主做事的动力,因此需要尽早培养独立性。可推断,buoyed在此处表示“被支持、被帮扶”,与文中“支持、帮助”的含义一致。故选A。 26. 根据文章第三段“I was nervous, but I knew he needed a safe environment to test his independence and build self-reliance. (我当时很紧张,但我知道他需要一个安全的环境来检验自己的独立能力,并培养自立精神。)”以及第四段“These experiences proved he could manage new environments with minimal support. (这些经历证明,他能够在几乎没有外界协助的情况下适应新的环境。)”可推知,夏令营经历主要展现了儿子逐步增强的独立能力。故选C。 27.推理判断题。根据文章最后一段“He brings home imperfect artwork, completed solely by himself, which I prize. He sometimes forgets his water bottle, but I am not concerned. I love seeing who he is in his newfound freedom, growing more self-reliant and confident each day. (他把那些完全由他自己创作但并不完美的作品带回家,而这些作品我很珍视。他有时会忘记带水杯,但我并不在意。我喜欢看他在这份新获得的自由中展现出的自我,每天都在变得更加自立和自信。)”可推知,作者对儿子现在的发展感到满意且欣慰。故选C。 C Yi music gives access to college for students in Liangshan         “凉山好声音”回馈家乡,公益演唱会助力贫困学生 “On your way home from the lofty mountains, you would be with soaring eagles flying home,” goes one lovely song by the band Wild Sounds (原野上的声音), one of many bands featured at the Buma Music Festival. Dancing to beautiful Yi ethnic group (彝族) music, over 500 people enjoyed the festival on Sept 16. “Buma” means knowledge in the Yi language. Buma is no typical music festival. First organized by the Yi-style band Wild Sounds in 2021, it has been held annually in Chengdu, Sichuan ever since. The money it earns goes to Yi teenagers so that they can enjoy higher education. The festival’s origins lie in a sad-yet-inspirational incident. During a 2018 trip to the Liangshan Yi autonomous prefecture (凉山彝族自治州) to research Yi music, the band met a local boy. “His clothes were old and dirty, but his eyes are so innocent,” said the 28-year-old Chisha. “I could see from his eyes that he wanted to see the world outside the mountains.” Born and raised in Liangshan, Chisha has witnessed many such sad stories of students giving up on their chances of higher education and getting out of the mountains because of extreme poverty. “Parents send kids who have graduated from high school to factories and construction sites to make ends meet,” said Chisha. “I’m one of the lucky kids who got the chance to leave the mountains. I want them to be able to see a bigger world, too.” The band decided to help by starting the Buma Music Festival. They turned their hobby — music — into a charitable cause. With members from the Yi ethnic group, the band decided to attract listeners through their unique musical style. In Wild Sounds’ songs, people hear the noises of local markets, Yi women singing, and the sounds of traditional Yi musical instruments. The band combines these sounds with guitars and drums to bring new energy to traditional Yi music. “Through the festival, Liangshan is helping its kids by sharing its music,” said Chisha. “Music is not just a way of entertainment ‑ it makes the world a better place.” According to Chisha, the festival has helped over 30 Liangshan teenagers receive higher education in colleges. This year, at least another 10 Yi teenagers will get help. As the influence of the music festival gets bigger, more singers who agreed with their ideas also joined in. Chisha said that 14 singers and bands have now joined their cause. “Chisha and his band are trying to pour new meaning into the music,” said Chen Yimeng, one of the singers who performed at the festival in 2022. Based on elements like tungsten and molybdenum, these alloys have some of the highest melting points of any metals. Their atoms are held together by strong chemical bonds that resist deforming at extreme temperatures, making them essential for components exposed to intense heat, stress and radiation. However, most of these special alloys were designed many years ago. Today, we have new ways to make things, like 3D printing. 3D printing is great because it can make complex metal parts with very little waste. But when we try to 3D print these old alloys, they often crack or break. It would take too much time to redesign them using old methods. To address this challenge, a research team at Arizona State University and UNSW Sydney is using reinforcement learning — a form of AI — to design new high-temperature alloys. The AI system explores thousands of possible alloy combinations virtually, evaluating each against criteria including strength at extreme temperatures, resistance to oxidation (氧化), weight, cost, and whether it can be reliably 3D-printed. Alloys that perform well are “rewarded” while those that fail are discarded. Over repeated cycles, the system learns which chemical combinations work best. This new method is showing great results. For example, NASA used a similar computer method to design an alloy called GRX-810. This alloy is “1,000 times more durable at high temperatures” than older ones. Also, making metals the old way wastes a lot of material. But with 3D printing and these new AI designs, we can make parts with almost no waste, which is good for our planet. Of course, there are still challenges. AI models require extensive experimental data to learn from, and data on refractory alloys is limited. The metal powders for 3D printing are also expensive. But this new way of using AI to design metals is a big step forward. It helps us make advanced machines for the future, faster and better. 32.What does the initial description of refractory alloys indicate? A.Their properties are easily changed. B.Their invention is really quite recent. C.They are crucial for modern defense. D.They share features with most metals. 33.Why does the research team use reinforcement learning? A.To precisely copy existing metal designs. B.To fully automate laboratory experiments. C.To find superior novel chemical mixtures. D.To replace all human research entirely. 34.What represents a major obstacle for AI alloy advancement? A.The lack of high-quality data. B.The higher cost of AI systems. C.The complexity of AI methods. D.The shortage of trained workers. 35.Which of the following is the best title for the passage? A.Challenges of 3D Printing Metal Parts Today B.Future of High-Temperature Alloy Materials C.How Refractory Metals Revolutionize Defense D.AI Designs New Alloys for Extreme Conditions 【答案】32.C 33.C 34.A 35.D 【导语】这是一篇说明文。 根据第一段“From hypersonic aircraft to nuclear-powered submarines, today’s most advanced defense systems rely on refractory alloys (耐热合金) — metals that do not melt or weaken easily, even in extreme heat. In contrast, in Atlanta, this figure drops to 4%. Since Barcelona is 30 times denser(更密集的) than Atlanta, it is easier to provide reliable public transport services. Accessibility is another key factor in public transportation usage. In a comparison of three international cities, though one of them has the highest population density, its public transport use is less than the other two cities. 38 Walkability is also a major component that matters. Studies show that well- maintained and safe streets encourage people to use public transportation. 39 By contrast, narrow or poorly- maintained sidewalks, and fewer trees make streets less walkable. It is in these types of urban environments that people are significantly less likely to use public transport, even if it is only 100 meters away from their homes. Nowadays, city planners have attached great importance to the construction of more public transportation infrastructure (基础设施). 40 And it can promote good urban mobility (移动性) at the same time. However, urban planners should also understand that factors related to the urban fabric (结构) also impact if and how public transport is used. So efforts should also be devoted to improving public environments to encourage the use of public transport, which will result in healthier cities and communities. A.Why is this the case? B.This emphasis aims to reduce the reliance on private vehicles. C.The trend causes cities to become more and more advanced. D.A city’s density directly impacts how public transport services are provided. E.People in big cities need to get out of their cars and use public transportation. F.In such urban environments, people are likelier to go further to access public transport. Though she was excited for the opportunity to study cinema at the School of the Arts, she now wondered if she had made a terrible mistake by transferring (转学) in the middle of the year. Finishing her paperwork had worn her out. The office assistant had instructed her to take the staircase on the right down to the basement. Just as Lucy started walking, the bell for first period rang. She marched quickly and made it to the staircase. Distracted (使分心) by a group of students taking selfies or making videos, Lucy tripped over her first step. She fell and then skidded all the way to the bottom, purse and bag sliding down behind her. “Smooth feet, newbie!” “That’s gotta hurt!” As she picked herself up, Lucy couldn’t decide what hurt more — her body or her pride. She took a few deep breaths and realized she was now standing in front of her first-period class. “Only like four people saw me fall,” she told herself. “No big deal.” First period went by uneventfully. By the time she was headed to second period, she had thrown the fall to the back of her mind. When she pushed open the door to Intro to Cinema, the class she was most looking forward to, students looked her way and whispers snaked from group to group. Lucy felt her face get hot. A couple of kids were gathered in the back around one of the classroom laptops, and she assumed they were talking about her. “Settle down, class,” the teacher said to the students, who quieted. She directed her attention toward Lucy and gave her a welcoming smile. “You must be Lucy Falls. Today we are discussing our 30-second film project. I believe the details were in the outline you received before you transferred. You can join group four,” she said, directing a pointed look to the group at the back of the classroom. 注意: 1、续写词数应为 150个左右。 2、请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 Paragraph 1: Fearing the worst, Lucy approached the group. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Paragraph 2: Her fall was now being transformed into a dramatic scene. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】范文: Fearing the worst, Lucy approached the group. 词类激活 行为类 ①戏谑:tease/make fun of ②看见:see/notice/take notice of ③变成:turn into/transform into 情绪类 ①高兴的:excited/thrilled/delighted ②令人尴尬的:awkward/embarrassing 【点睛】【高分句型1】 As she stepped closer, the group shifted over to make space, patting the seat beside them. B My son, a kindergartner in a large public school, has a language-based learning disability. C Yi music gives access to college for students in Liangshan         “凉山好声音”回馈家乡,公益演唱会助力贫困学生 “On your way home from the lofty mountains, you would be with soaring eagles flying home,” goes one lovely song by the band Wild Sounds (原野上的声音), one of many bands featured at the Buma Music Festival. By MENG TIANTIAN, 21st Century Teens 28.What inspired the band Wild Sounds to start the Buma Music Festival? A.Their love for music. B.Their encounter with a child. C.Their research on Yi rhythms. D.The conditions on Liangshan Mountain. 29.Which of the following best describes Wild Sounds’ songs? A.Traditional and calm. B.Energetic and cheerful. C.Creative and down-to-earth. D.Inspirational and experimental. 30.What is the main goal of the Buma Music Festival? A.To celebrate local culture. B.To boost the local economy. C.To promote traditional Yi music. D.To support underprivileged youth. 31.What is the last paragraph mainly about? A.The ultimate aim of the music festival. B.The recognition the band has received. D From hypersonic aircraft to nuclear-powered submarines, today’s most advanced defense systems rely on refractory alloys (耐热合金) — metals that do not melt or weaken easily, even in extreme heat. A.Challenges of 3D Printing Metal Parts Today B.Future of High-Temperature Alloy Materials C.How Refractory Metals Revolutionize Defense D.AI Designs New Alloys for Extreme Conditions 第二节(共5小题;每小题2. 5分, 满分12. 5分) 阅读下面短文, 从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 Public transportation is not fully used across the globe, even if good transport systems are in place. 36 There are three primary reasons listed below, which all can be solved by good urban planning. 37 For example, in Barcelona, 30% of daily trips are carried out by public transport. B My son, a kindergartner in a large public school, has a language-based learning disability. C.The band’s future plans for their cause. D.Other singers’ comments on the band’s music. D From hypersonic aircraft to nuclear-powered submarines, today’s most advanced defense systems rely on refractory alloys (耐热合金) — metals that do not melt or weaken easily, even in extreme heat.
