My favourite event was “ping-pong pass”. Each student had to balance a ping-pong ball with chopsticks and move it from one basket to another without dropping it. We used a stopwatch to see who was the fastest. Guess what! I can use chopsticks very well. Tom did his best, but his ping-pong ball kept falling off his chopsticks.

The modern Olympic Games became popular in the late 19th century. In 1892, at a meeting in Paris, Pierre de Coubertin put forward the idea of holding Olympic Games again. In 1894, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) was founded.
The modern Olympic Games include the Summer Olympics and the Winter Olympics. The first modern Olympic Games were held in Athens, Greece, in 1896, while the first Winter Olympics were held in Chamonix, France, in 1924. Since 1994, the Olympic Games have alternated between a summer and a winter edition every two years.
