Grammar Focus 2: Where to put the "if"-clause?
💡 Core Rule: The "if"-clause can be placed either at thebeginningor theendof a sentence.
SCENARIO 1: At the BEGINNING
If you ask him, he will help you.
🔑Comma Alert:When the "if"-clause starts the sentence, we must use a comma (,) to separate it from the main clause.
SCENARIO 2: At the END
He will help you if you ask him.
🚫No Comma:When the "if"-clause comes after the main clause, we do NOT need a comma before it.
💬 Meaning is the same! Only the punctuation and word order change.
