One day, the famous writer Franz Kafka was walking through a park in Berlin. He found a young girl crying 36 , because she had lost her favorite doll (玩偶) .
He helped her 37 the doll, but they couldn’t find it. Kafka told her to meet him there the next day and they would look again. The next day, when they still couldn’t find the 38 ,Kafka gave the girl a letter “written” by the doll that said, “Please do not feel 39 . I have gone on a trip to see the world. To share my adventures (冒险) with you, I’m going to 40 to you.”
When they met again, Kafka read the letters (which he wrote, actually) of adventures that the girl found 41 and interesting. Finally, Kafka read her a letter in which the doll said it finally came back to Berlin. Then, Kafka gave her a doll that he bought in a 42 :
“This does not look like mine at all,” the girl said. Then, Kafka handed her a letter that said, “It is my trips that have 43 me.” The girl hugged (拥抱) the new doll and took it home with her happily.
Many years later, the girl found a 44 inside the doll. The letter, signed by Kafka, said,“Everything you love is very likely to be lost, but in the end, love will 45 in a different way.”
36.A.sadly B.happily C.interestingly
37.A.talk of B.look for C.write about
38.A.doll B.park C.person
39.A.scared B.excited C.worried
40.A.listen B.walk C.write
41.A.boring B.tiring C.exciting
42.A.store B.school C.park
43.A.hurt B.changed C.helped
44.A.letter B.book C.map
45.A.see B.return C.blow
36.A 37.B 38.A 39.C 40.C 41.C 42.A 43.B 44.A 45.B
后文“because she had lost her favorite doll.”
talk of“谈论”和write about“写关于……”
根据下文“I have gone on a trip to see the world.”
前文提到卡夫卡给了女孩一封“玩偶写的信”,后文“When they met again, Kafka read the letters…”
根据上文“This does not look like mine at all,”可知,新、旧玩偶不一样,说明是旅行让玩偶变得不一样。

Fifteen-year-old Ethan volunteered at Riverside Nursing Home last winter, worrying about the uncomfortable silences he imagined. His task was simple: stay with the residents (居住者). But he had no idea how to connect with people much older than him until he discovered a box of old-fashioned toys in the activity room.
Ms. Clara, an 82-year-old woman who hardly left her chair, caught his eye as he went through the box. “Those are marbles,” she said softly, pointing to the colorful glass balls in his hand. “I used to play with my brother every weekend in our backyard.” Ethan’s face lit up; his grandpa had taught him the same game the summer before. He sat down beside her and held out the marbles. “Want to tell me how you played it back then?”
To his surprise, Ms. Clara’s eyes lit up as she talked about her childhood-digging small holes in the dirt, taking turns to shoot the marbles with her thumb, and cheering when she won a round. Ethan joined in, missing his target at first but smiling as she gently showed him how to aim better. Soon, other residents gathered: Mr. Torres taught them to play a stick-picking game, while Mrs. Lin showed everyone how to fold paper airplanes that flew far across the room.
The nursing home’s quiet afternoons turned into lively game time. Ethan learned that the old games weren’t just fun-they were keys to the residents’ memories. Ms. Clara started smiling more, even joining group chats after their games. The 2026 Government Work Report clearly says that China will support qualified (符合条件的) areas to carry out spring and autumn holidays for primary and secondary school students, while putting into practice the wrong-time paid leave system (带薪休假制度) for workers. As a hot topic, the policy has been tested in provinces such as Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Sichuan with useful experience.
These short holidays bring many good points to students. They can lower study pressure after long-time learning and help students keep healthy both in body and mind. With nice and comfortable weather, students can go out of classrooms to take part in real activities, including farming experiences, nature watching and local culture learning. In this way, book knowledge is turned into real-life experience.
The holidays also bring good points to families. Wrong-time leave lets parents spend happy time with their children at lower costs, away from the large crowds of busy travel seasons. Many families choose to travel, visit relatives or go to museums together, making family ties closer. At the same time, the holidays help develop local tourism and economy, making a win-win situation for education and society.
However, difficulties still exist (存在). The main problem is that many working parents cannot look after their children during the holidays. To solve this, many schools offer childcare services with colorful activities, and local communities offer more activities for students. The holidays can also be set freely according to local situations.
In short, spring and autumn holidays are an important educational change. They show a turn from exam-centered education to a focus on all-round development. With joint efforts from families, schools and society, these holidays will help students grow in a healthier and more meaningful way.
56.What does the underlined word “wrong-time” in paragraph 1 mean?
A.The same time as usual. B.Only on summer vacation.
C.During the busiest traveling season. D.A different time from the busy seasons.
57.What do paragraph 2 and paragraph 3 have in common?
A.Both focus on students’ traveling plans.
B.Both discuss students’ colorful school life.
C.Both mention the problems of these holidays.
D.Both talk about the good sides of these holidays.
58.What do schools do to help with the problem of working parents?
A.Offer care services and fun activities. B.Set new laws.
C.Shut down community service. D.Ask parents to take kids to work.
59.What is the writer’s opinion towards spring and autumn holidays?
A.Indifferent. B.Supportive. C.Doubtful. D.Upset.
60.What’s the structure of this passage?
A. B. C. D.

Dark, cold and wet, a cave deep in the mountains of Wulong district, Chongqing, welcomed special visitors in winter.
From December 2025 to January 2026, 28 astronauts joined China’s first cave-training mission, reported Xinhua. They were divided into four teams, with each team spending six days and five nights in the cave while carrying out tasks such as scientific research and basic life-support work.
The cave environment shares many similarities with space. Astronauts are separated from the outside world, have very little room to move and have limited privacy or physical comfort. These conditions can be copied in special training areas, but nothing is better than the real experience and unexpected challenges of a natural cave, according to Beijing Daily.
Inside the cave, the temperature stays at an average of about 8℃, and the humidity (湿度) reaches up to 99 percent. The cave has many narrow paths and steep rock walls, pushing astronauts to their physical limits. Sudden dangers, such as falling rocks or getting lost, help astronauts improve their quick-thinking and decision-making skills.
Cave training also helps astronauts develop mental strength. Jiang Yuan, a psychological trainer for the astronauts, entered the cave herself during the early planning stage. “The biggest challenge for me was the darkness,” Jiang told Xinhua. “I lost track of time, my memory started to blur (变模糊) and my reactions slowed down.” Zhu Yangzhu, an astronaut who joined the cave training, also mentioned the strange quietness, similar to space. “We could hear our own heartbeat and breath,” he told CGTN after coming out of the cave.
To help astronauts get used to life in the cave, Jiang and her team used group support methods. “The data we gathered will help guide future long-term space station missions and manned lunar missions.” Jiang told Xinhua.
The European Space Agency (ESA) began studying the use of natural caves for astronaut training in 2005. Ye Guangfu took part in one of ESA’s cave training programs in Italy in 2016. “Compared with the European training, our support team intervened (干预) as little as possible,” Ye told Xinhua. This allows astronauts to trust their own instincts (直觉) and solve problems on their own, he added.
61.What is the key reason why a natural cave is better than special training areas for astronaut training?
A.Its conditions are closer to those in real space.
B.It costs less than specially built training areas.
C.It gives trainees a more comfortable environment.
D.It offers real experience and unplanned challenges.
62.What are the environmental conditions inside the cave according to the passage?
A.Average temperature 8℃, humidity up to 99%.
B.Average temperature 10℃, humidity up to 90%.
C.Average temperature 5℃, humidity up to 95%.
D.Average temperature 15℃, humidity up to 80%.
63.Why can sudden dangers in the cave help astronauts?
A.Because they make astronauts stronger.
B.Because they improve quick-thinking and decision-making skills.
C.Because they teach astronauts to avoid risks.
D.Because they increase physical fitness.
64.According to Ye, how was China’s cave training different from ESA’s training?
A.It lasted longer per session. B.Its safety measures were more complete.
C.Its support team was less involved. D.It was more physically challenging.
65.What is the main purpose of the cave training described in the passage?
A.To test astronauts’ physical strength in extreme environments.
B.To prepare astronauts for space missions by simulating real challenges.
C.To compare Chinese training methods with European ones.
D.To study the effects of darkness and humidity on the human body.
【答案】61.D 62.A 63.B 64.C 65.B

62.文章第四段第一句“Inside the cave, the temperature stays at an average of about 8℃, and the humidity reaches up to 99 percent.”
63.文章第四段最后一句“Sudden dangers, such as falling rocks or getting lost, help astronauts improve their quick-thinking and decision-making skills.”
64.文章最后一段“Compared with the European training, our support team intervened as little as possible”叶光富的描述:和欧洲训练相比,中国训练的支持团队尽可能少干预,也就是支持团队参与度更低。

It’s a hot summer day. The classroom feels like an oven. Some students want to turn the air conditioner down to 18℃ to cool off quickly. Others say 26℃ is perfectly fine. 66 With heatwaves hitting more often, this question is becoming harder to answer.
Many schools ask students to set the AC at 26℃ or higher. That’s because the lower the temperature, the more electricity it uses. 67 It’s a sad cycle. But here’s the thing: we can’t simply say no to AC. Studies show that when a classroom is too hot, students can’t focus. They feel tired and sleepy. Their test scores drop. 68
So what smart ways can we try? In some countries, schools start classes earlier in the morning when it’s cooler, and end earlier in the afternoon. 69
Another idea comes from Singapore. Instead of just telling people to “use less AC”, some schools design their classrooms for better airflow. Then they open windows on both sides to let the wind blow through. 70 It’s about working with nature, not against it.
Maybe the answer isn’t about finding the “perfect” number on the AC but changing our habits. After all, saving the planet might start with being a little less comfortable.
A.But is 26℃ really the best temperature for everyone in every situation?
B.What makes this idea special is that it uses no energy, just smart thinking.
C.This simple change in timetable helps them avoid the hottest part of the day.
D.The more coal and gas we burn to produce electricity, the warmer our planet becomes.
E.In fact, keeping students cool is not just about comfort — it’s about creating a good learning environment.
【答案】66.A 67.D 68.E 69.C 70.B

67.根据前句提到低水温意味着“the more electricity it uses”以及后句“It’s a sad cycle.”
69.根据前句“schools start classes earlier…and end earlier in the afternoon”可知,本段在介绍调整时间表的策略。
70.根据前句“…design their classrooms for better airflow. Then they open windows on both sides to let the wind blow through.”

On his last day, she gave a handwritten note to him: “You didn’t just play with me-you brought back pieces of my life I thought were gone. “
Ethan left with a new understanding: warmth isn’t about fancy gestures. It’s about sitting down, listening, and sharing the small joys that cross generations. Those simple, forgotten games had built a bridge between him and the residents-one that proved kindness and connection are timeless.

58.What do schools do to help with the problem of working parents?
A.Offer care services and fun activities. B.Set new laws.
