现在分词作状语 V-ing form used as the adverbial Once upon a time, there was a farmer who worked hard everyday. While working in the fields one day, the farmer saw a rabbit. Running quickly, the rabbit bumped into the tree stump, dying from a broken neck. He took the rabbit home, and cooked a delicious dinner. Then he thought, “Picking up a rabbit everyday, I needn’t work so hard!”. From then on, he no longer worked and sat by the tree stump, waiting for the rabbit to come and bump into it.
