When I was a kid, my two brothers and I would stay with Grandparents for a week during summer vacation. We always looked forward to spending every moment with them, especially Grandpa, the “hero” in our eyes.
Grandpa became blind when he was 20 years old, but it never slowed down the strong-willed (意志坚强的) man. He worked in a shop every day. Customers would give him money, and he would return the right change and give them exactly what they wanted. He had many friends who visited the shop just to talk to him, and at that time, I helped to hand customers their drinks and snacks. This made me feel grown-up.
He also cooked lunch and washed dishes while Grandma worked. As a boy, I would watch him move around the house from room to room as if he could see. I was so surprised about how he moved from cooking to washing the dishes, never making a mistake.
It seemed like every time I stayed with him, we would visit someone in the evening who was weak or very sick. Although he couldn’t see things. he never let that stop him from working and being kind to others. His love for people never ended.
During those weeks, he taught me many lessons that I still treasure today. They take me back to those days and remind me how special he was. I miss every moment I spent with him. To this day, I still dislike hearing someone say “I can’t do that” because I know a blind man who never says those words.
47.What can we learn about Grandpa?
A.He had few friends. B.He lived like a normal person.
C.He had many hobbies. D.He became blind at 25 years old.

C.Anything is possible. D.We should help the blind.

More and more middle schools in our country are building green corners on campus these days. A green corner is a small area in the school where students grow plants like flowers, vegetables and small trees. It has become a new and popular part of school life for many students.
Building a green corner brings students many great benefits. First, it makes the school more beautiful and lively. Second, it gives students a chance to get close to nature and learn about plants. They can know how to take care of living things and understand the meaning of hard work. What’s more, working in the green corner is a good way to relax after long hours of study. It also helps students make more friends by working together in groups.
However, keeping a green corner is not an easy job. Some students forget to water the plants on time, so many young plants die quickly. Also, there is not always enough space in the school for a big green corner. And a few students don’t take it seriously and even damage the plants sometimes.
To make the green corner better, schools have made some rules. Students take turns to look after the plants and write down their growth. Teachers also give lessons about plant care to help students. With everyone’s effort, the green corners will become more wonderful and bring more joy to school life.

七、任务型阅读 (本大题共 5 题,每题 1 分,共 5 分)
Zhejiang has become China’s first province to let all primary and secondary schools have spring and autumn breaks. This important educational change aims to help students reduce stress.
Different from long summer and winter vacations, these short breaks are added during school terms. Cities in Zhejiang have their own plans. For example, Ningbo has a three-day break for both seasons, sometimes along with weekends to make longer holidays. Hangzhou, which tried this as early as 2004, had a three-day break in 2025.
This move follows a national policy from September. It wants to encourage people to go traveling and shopping during the seasonal breaks. Foshan and Enshi have also started similar programs.
However, parents have different ideas. Many support it because it’s good for kids’ health and study interest, but others are worried because they have to work during the breaks. “It’s a great idea, but the main problem is that parents don’t get the same time off,” said Mr. Xie, a parent in Hangzhou. Some students even have to stay in school daycare instead of traveling.
Officials suggest that bosses should offer parental leave for the school breaks, so that the policy can work better.
With efforts from all sides, it’s hopeful that this new break policy will bring both students and families more benefits and a better life.

On the first day of school, children can be very nervous. However, sometimes parents are more nervous than the students themselves. A new British survey s 72 that one in three parents are worried that their children will not make friends when they start school.
The survey was carried out by Action for Children, an organization in the UK. They questioned more than 2,000 parents and f 73 that parents are more likely to care about their children’s ability to make friends than their lessons. 33% of the parents put not making friends on top of the list of their worries about their children, w 74 just 11% of the parents said their main worry is that their children will not be able to keep up with the schoolwork.
Everyone needs friends. They can bring h 75 and hope in our lives. However, the ability to make friends is d 76 from person to person. To some people, making friends is easy and to others it’s very difficult. We all have the ability to make friends. U 77 , many people never reach their potential (潜力). Making friends is a skill, and the first step in developing that skill is to know how to get along w 78 others.
It’s n 79 for some children to feel nervous if they don’t know how to get on well with others in a new environment. However, parents and teachers should h 80 them learn some basic social skills such as sharing, helping, teamwork and communication.
It’s necessary for parents to teach their child to know the i 81 of having friends. Let him or her know having hundreds of online friends is not the same as having a friend he or she can connect and be with in person every day.

When I was a kid, my two brothers and I would stay with Grandparents for a week during summer vacation. We always looked forward to spending every moment with them, especially Grandpa, the “hero” in our eyes.

Last Wednesday, when we were having 50-metre dash test, Wang Li suddenly fell down.
The teacher and classmates quickly ran to her. They found that her right knee was scraped and she was so painful that her face turned pale. The teacher carefully examined Wang Li’s wound and asked the monitor to get the first-aid kit. Soon, the school doctor came and gave Wang Li a hand. The classmates comforted Wang Li and she slowly relaxed.
In my opinion, this is a heart-warming scene. It shows that we are like a big family in school. When someone is in trouble, others will always offer help and care.
