On a very hot day, Robert was tired and sweating a lot. A kind woman gave him a watermelon. The kindness behind this gift made the watermelon feel the sweetest to him.
3.What does the last paragraph of the passage mean?
Robert is saying goodbye to his job as a “spiderman”. He tells the new workers that their window-cleaning work makes the city look brighter. Also, this job will bring them a sense of pride. Finally, he wishes them all the best.
Step 5: Summary & Homework (5 minutes)
1. Summary (2 minutes): The teacher summarizes the key content of this class: "Today we read and understood the text ‘The Saying Goodbye to My Years Up High’, mastered the core words, phrases and sentence patterns related to goodbye, growth and career expectations, analyzed the author’s emotions, and shared our own feelings and expectations.
