教学目标
1. 能听懂、会说、认读science book, space story, fairy tale。
2. 能掌握并运用句型“A is/are more…than B.”对两事物进行比较。
3. 会用“... like doing more than doing ...”表达喜欢做某事更多一点儿。
教学重难点
熟练运用句型“A is/are more…than B.”对两事物进行比较。
能理解Part D部分内容。

单词卡片,录音带,课件,教学挂图等。
教学过程
一、热身/复习(Warm-up/Revision)
1. 师生互相问候。
2. Sing a song: The More We Get Together.
3. Recite the new words and retell the story.
二、新课呈现(Presentation)
(一)学习C部分Let's Practise。
1. 师生交谈:Do you like reading stories? What else do you like? Which do you like
more, …or…?
2. 教师用课件出示图片, 利用图片帮助学生谈论活动。“I like … more than …”或者“He/ She likes…more than…”(注意:主语不同,like形式的变化以及like后面用动词的ing形式。)
3. 听课文C部分录音,学生跟读句型。
4. Act out Part C.
5. 两人一组自由交谈,可采用问答式:What do you like? Which do you like more? 一个学生问,一个学生答。
(二)学习D部分Let's Read。
1. 课件出示不同类型书的图片,问:What kinds of book do you like?
2. 教读新单词:science book, space story, fairy tale。
3. 学生快速阅读课文D部分故事,回答问题。
T: Peter and Anne like reading. They like different kinds of stories. Now, let's enjoy the story, read it as quickly as try to answer the questions: (板书下面问题:)
What kinds of stories do they like?
4. 教师引导学生回答问题。
5. 听课文D部分录音,模仿正确的语音、语调,从中掌握新词和难句的正确读法。理解“Reading is good for us.”等句子意思。
6. 操练句型:“A is /are more … than B.”,如:Fairy tales are more interesting than science books.
7. 学生反复读课文,然后讨论完成课文D部分的练习。最后师生一起核对答案。
三、拓展延伸(Consolidation and extension)
1. 通过CAI图片先师生复述Part D部分内容,再让学生分组在组内练习。
2. 出示关键词:fairy tales, magic stories, books on science, learn, are like, more … than, should read more books。以组为单位汇报复述情况。
3. 对学生的复述,给予肯定与鼓励,引导学生自评与互评,评选优胜同学与优胜小组。
四、作业布置(Homework)
1. 练习朗读D部分短文。
2. 朗读并背诵课文,抄写单词。
