A Modern Marco Polo’s Food Journey in China
Antonio’s thought of coming to China was from the story of Italian explorer Marco Polo (1254—1324) who traveled to the same country over 700 years ago. “When I was a child, I saw The Travels of Marco Polo on TV,” he said. “The beautiful Chinese food completely shocked me and I decided one day I would explore this country myself.”
Now this Italian cook has a restaurant in China. Crazy about Chinese food, Antonio often traveled around China to find new ideas in his early days. Last year, he visited some cities along the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal (大运河). “What interested me most was not only the food, but also the people, their kindness, and the customs passed down,” he said. Tai’erzhuang is one of the cities along the Grand Canal that Antonio has visited. In this centuries-old water town, he tried the thin and crispy Shandong pancakes with green onions. In the past, the pancakes were made from grains (谷粒) transported through the Grand Canal. The pancakes show the creativity of Shandong people and their cooking skills.
Recently, Antonio shared stories of the “food journey to the east” on social media. Many people left messages, saying that they were interested in Chinese food and culture. Antonio has realized that many foreigners will fall in love with learning about traditional Chinese culture if it is presented in a way they can understand. Antonio is becoming one of the modern “Marco Polos” who are attracted (吸引) by amazing Chinese culture and show it to the world. Though Italian and Chinese foods are very different, they share certain similarities, such as the use of noodles, which is a common thread (线) in both cultures. Antonio said, “Food is a bridge to bring people together. (A)__________”

Young Chinese Baker Rocks “Bread Olympics”
A dancing lion, a lovely panda and other Chinese symbols in interesting shapes—when these are grouped together, what kind of magic can happen? This one-meter-high bread was out of the hands of Gong Xin, a Chinese baker who won the first place in the ninth World Bread Competition, also known as “the Bread Olympic Games”, making him the first ever Chinese champion (冠军) of this event. Many foreigners say (A) it is the same as a foreigner taking the first place in a dumpling-making competition in China.
After graduating from school, Gong began to learn to make bread. He worked in a bakery. Soon, he found that it could not help realize his dream because he wished to become a top baker. He then left to further his bread-making skills in a famous school. The journey of growing from a common baker to a skilled one took him only two years, but behind the rapid progress were many hours of sweating (汗水) in his free time. For Gong, hard work had produced fantastic skills, but he kept wondering how he could take those skills to the next level, which was the reason why he took part in the competition.
As a well-known international bakery competition, the World Bread Competition requires each competitor to make different types of healthy bread with creative ideas. Gong tried a lot day in, day out, finally making a name for himself.
A young baker from a small town has grown into a world champion. “Challenges are everywhere. One should have more practice, patience and a deep love for the job. More communication and exchanges about the ideas especially expressing the traditional Chinese culture with other people are also necessary,” he said, adding that when he watched people enjoying and admiring his bread, he got a strong feeling of satisfaction. Often people will do things to anger you. When this happens, it’s not good to react immediately, but after you’ve calmed down, look at the positive (积极的) qualities in that person.
I’m not asking you to be a doormat (受气包) or simply look at the positive qualities when someone is being unkind to you. Instead, I’m suggesting that you take a look at the positive qualities in addition to everything else. Here’s an example: Let’s say you’re taking your son or daughter to a basketball game. You’ re in the line and the guy behind you, who is also with his child, starts pushing. You ask him to back off and he gets angry, and perhaps starts shouting. All of this is taking place in front of your child and his child.
Finally things calm down. Perhaps you’ re still angry and silently cursing (咒骂) him as you sit in your chair. But can you see anything positive in that person? Most people would say no. But at least he was trying to spend some time with his kid just like you did. You don’t know anything else about the person, but you just find some positıve qualities.
Too often we focus only on a person’s negative (消极的) qualities and forget the good things. By looking at the positive, you get your mind to move its attention. It now begins to see things differently and thus (所以) sends a different message and different energy to your sense. This will bring positive situations to you. It’s that old saying:” What goes around comes around. “ You focus on the good things in other people, and other people will see the good things in you and you’ ll attract positive situations in your life. For example: 4. .
When you do this you also let out the anger and unhappiness, thus creating more positive energy. Try doing this with people you know and don’t know. Creating positive energy is important to your success and happiness. Let’s face it. You certainly don’t want negative energy or a negative lifestyle.
46.What should you do when a person anger you according to the passage?
47.In the writer’s opinion, what is the positive quality of the guy?
48.What is going to happen if you focus on the good things in other people?
【答案】46.Calm down and look at the positive qualities in that person. 47.He was trying to spend time with his kid. 48.Other people will see the good things in me and I’ll attract positive situations in my life.
【解析】本文讲述了当他人激怒我们时,理智地关注对方的积极品质,可以让我们的心态变得更积极,从而吸引更多正能量,达到更快乐成功的生活。
46.根据第一段“When this happens, it’s not good to react immediately, but after you’ve calmed down, look at the positive qualities in that person.”可知,当别人激怒我们时,我们应冷静下来,关注对方的积极品质。故填Calm down and look at the positive qualities in that person.
47.根据“But at least he was trying to spend some time with his kid just like you did.”可知,作者认为那个男士的积极品质是愿意花时间陪孩子。故填He was trying to spend time with his kid.
48.根据“You focus on the good things in other people, and other people will see the good things in you and you’ll attract positive situations in your life.”可知,如果关注他人优点,我会吸引更多积极情况。故填Other people will see the good things in me and I’ll attract positive situations in my life.

Artist shapes a bit of Chinese culture
Over the past three years, Kang Jian has created more than 400 dough sculptures (面塑) and become a city-inheritor (继承人) of the dough sculpture in Mohe, Heilongjiang province.
Kang has shown an interest in art, especially dough sculpture since he was a child. Every time his parents made dumplings, he would ask for a small piece of dough to make animals — a rabbit, a fish or a small. Those small dough animals brought him lots of good childhood memories. As many pet owners know, pets can make a person’s day bright and even provide comfort in difficult times. Now a survey has shown that owning pets is good for our mental (心理的) health. More than 2, 000 American adults took part in the survey. Of these adults, 72% said they had pets. Dogs were the most common type of animal, followed by cats.
Among pet owners, 84% said their pets had mostly good influence on their mental health. About 64% said their pets provided unconditional (无条件的) love and support, while 62% said their pets provided a calming presence (在场) and lowered stress and anxiety (焦虑). Dog and cat owners were especially likely to say their pets were good for their mental health.
“We see the powerful relationship between people and their animals,” said Rena Carlson, president of the AVMA (美国兽医协会). “From offering presence and love to lowering stress and anxiety, pets can give us comfort and support.”
A recent study by researchers in Australia got the same result. It found that having a dog led children to be more active because they walked and played with their pets. Girls who had a dog exercised 52 more minutes per day than those who didn’t.
However, pets can also cause anxiety to owners, especially when it comes to the animals’ health. More than half of pet owners were worried about their pets having health problems, growing older, or passing away. Many people also tried their best to arrange (安排) pet care when they travelled.

Not everyone loves earthworms (蚯蚓). Some people feel uncomfortable when they see them. Yet these small animals are very important. In fact, we should thank earthworms for many of the delicious and healthy foods on our plates. They are good friends of the farmers.
Earthworms can be found in most places around the world. They live their whole lives in soil (土壤). An earthworm has no eyes, ears, or nose. Instead, it senses the dark environment through the nerve cells (神经细胞) along its body. These nerve cells help the earthworm move through the soil. Most earthworms are generally between 10 and 30 centimeters long. However, if you traveled to Australia, you might see the world’s longest earthworm—the Gippsland earthworm. It can grow up to 3 meters long.

· 高频任务类型:
· 表格填空(需分类整合信息,如时间、地点、原因);
· 问答理解(直接/间接提问,需用完整句子或关键词回答);
· 判断正误(辨析细节表述是否符合原文);
· 信息匹配(将选项与文中具体内容对应)。
2. 考查核心能力
· 定位能力:快速找到题目对应的原文段落或句子;
· 信息转换能力:将原文词汇/句式转换为符合题目要求的表达(如词性转换、同义替换、主动变被动);

Passage 2
(2025·山东东营·中考)
Earthworms help farmers in several ways. As they move through the soil, they create tunnels (管状通道). Plants grow poorly if the soil is too dry and hard. The tunnels help air and water reach the underground parts of plants. This makes the soil wet and loose (疏松的). Earthworms also eat dead leaves and dead plants. Then they pass the waste (粪便) into the soil. Their waste is filled with nutrients (营养). This makes the soil rich.
The earthworms may be small, but they are very important. They help feed us and keep us healthy.

A well-known 75-year Harvard study shows that children who do chores can become more independent and successful when they grow up. In fact, chores are very important to children’s future development, as they bring many benefits (益处).
When children do chores, they can get a sense of achievement because they can see the results soon after finishing the chores. Especially when their parents say thanks for their help and tell them they’ve made the day easier, they will know they are useful and able to help their families. This experience can also encourage children to be more active outside of the family.

Passage 5
(2025·山东济宁·中考)
From red apples to yellow bananas and green watermelons, fruits come in many different colors. Why do different kinds of fruits have so many colors?
Liu Wei, a scientist from China, explains that fruit colors actually come from their different pigments (色素). How many pigments appear depends on where they grow. Therefore, the environment plays an important role in fruit colors.
To find out how the environment influences fruit colors, Chinese scientists studied more than 280 different fruit colors, including white, red, blue, purple and black. They found that red fruits prefer to grow in cooler places, while blue and purple fruits mostly grow in warm places.
Animals have also had an influence on the evolution (进化) of fruit colors. Animals eat fruits and later drop the seeds in other places. This helps the fruits spread and grow in different places. In order to catch animals’ attention, some fruits turn into colors that are easy for them to see.
However, animals see colors in a different way. Fruits need to develop colors that fit what animals can see. For example, birds can see red more easily than humans can. As a result, there are more red fruits in areas where birds live. Some monkeys are red-green color-blind, so yellow fruits can be found in their habitats (栖息地), as they can easily see this color.
1.What do fruit colors come from? (no more than 8 words)
2.Where do red fruits prefer to grow? (no more than 8 words)
3.Why are there more red fruits in areas where birds live? (no more than 10 words)

Passage 7
(2025·山东威海·中考)
Clear out the mess
Have you heard of the saying “Tidy space, tidy mind”? Summer vacation is coming. It’s time to clear out all the things you don’t need anymore. As well as freeing up space, it clears your mind.
Maybe you’ve been given new clothes, toys or books for some special reason and haven’t yet found a place to store them. When you spend time indoors taking things out to use or play with, your bedroom gets messy.
“Clearing out the things you don’t want or use anymore makes you feel good. Messy environment can take your attention away from things you need to focus on.” said Dr. Roberts, a psychologist (心理学家). When your room is clean and tidy, you don’t need to spend ages searching for missing socks or schoolbooks. This frees time and space for the things you enjoy. Tidying up takes more time, energy and effort, but the results make you happy, relaxed and can help you sleep better.
“Having a clean and tidy room clears my mind and makes me feel calmer,” says The Week Junior reader Harry, aged 13. “I like tidying up. At the same time, it can make places for my books and games, and help me to keep them in order and know where they are.”
When you start tidying up, set easy tasks, such as cleaning one surface or drawer at a time. If time allows, put everything on the floor or bed and sort (分类) into four kinds:
________: useful things you have good memories of.
Donate: things you don’t want but can give away, like books, toys or clothes.
Sell: have a tabletop sale or ask an adult to help you use an online marketplace.

Passage 8
(2025·山东日照·中考)
Jiang Zhaopeng, an 18-year-old student, faced a life-or-death test on Saturday—not in an exam hall, but in the backseat of a car, where he performed life-saving CPR on a classmate who went into a heart attack.
Jiang and his classmate were heading to take the spring college entrance exam when the emergency happened unexpectedly.
At about 8:10 a.m., the two got into a taxi to the testing site. Just a minute later, Jiang’s classmate fell onto his knee. “I thought he was just tired at first,” Jiang said. But then the classmate began breathing with difficulty and kicking the front seat before suddenly going limp (瘫软). He soon stopped breathing.
Jiang remembered the first aid lessons from school. He quickly laid his classmate down and began CPR.
“Go to the hospital,” Jiang told the driver, Wang Tao. Wang called the local traffic police and sped to the hospital, running six red lights and arriving in just seven minutes—half the usual time.
Jiang didn’t tell his school about the whole thing until his classmate was safe with doctors. He then rushed to the exam site, but arrived too late to take the 9 a.m. Chinese language test.
Later, doctors said his classmate would be okay without any brain damage (损伤). “The first four minutes of CPR in the car were very important,” said doctors.

Passage 9
(2024·山东临沂·中考)
The history of traffic lights dates back to the early 19th century in Britain. London was a busy city with horse-drawn carriages (马车). They often rushed into people, causing many accidents. At the same time, there was a fashion rule in London—women in red showed that they were married and green for unmarried. This gave people the idea for using red and green as traffic signs later.
On December 10th, 1868, British mechanic (机械师) De Hart designed the world’s first traffic light with only red and green. A policeman had to pull a belt to change the lights: red meant “stop”, and green meant “go”. At first, it worked well and reduced accidents. However, this traffic light exploded (爆炸) after 23 days. The light was turned off, but the idea stayed alive.
In 1914, electric traffic lights were first used in America. Red and green still did their jobs, then they were safer and easier to see.
In 1927, a Chinese student named Hu Ruding was studying in the US. He noticed drivers sometimes rushed when the light changed. “What if there’s a middle color to slow people down?” he thought. That’s how the yellow light was born, meaning “get ready to stop.” Around the same time, an American policeman named William Potts created the first three-color traffic lights for all directions. They made crossroads much safer.
These colors were not chosen by chance. Red is easy to see, like a fire alarm, so it means “danger-stop!” Yellow is a warning, like a sign that says “be careful—slow down!” Green, like a forest, tells us “safe to go!” Together, they form a common language that keeps safe every day.
Great ideas come from everyday things. Whether traffic lights or something else, noticing and thinking “what if” can change the world!
1.When did the world’s first traffic light with only red and green appear?
2.Who suggested adding a yellow light to traffic signs?
3.What does the underlined word “they” refer to in Paragraph 5?
4.What’s the title for the passage?

3.根据“Red is easy to see, like a fire alarm, so it means ‘danger-stop!’ Yellow is a warning, like a sign that says ‘be careful—slow down!’ Green, like a forest, tells us ‘safe to go!’ Together, they form a common language that keeps safe every day.”可知,红色意味着“危险——止步!”黄色是一种警告,绿色告诉我们“可以安全通行!”合在一起,它们构成了一种日常使用的通用语言,以确保安全。故“they”指代的是红、黄、绿三种颜色。故填Red, yellow and green.

Passage 14
(2025·山东青岛·一模)
AI kitchens are no longer just ideas from science fiction movies like Star Trek. Today, robots can cook fried chicken, make pizzas, mix salads, and do many other tasks. AI can design new recipes (食谱) using ingredients (原料) already in the kitchen. Scientists are even creating better systems to let robots prepare high-quality meals like in expensive restaurants.
New technology is usually expensive at the beginning, so restaurant and companies are the first to try these AI tools. But as prices go down over time, normal families will be able to buy them too. This could change how we live at home and in society.
AI kitchens have many good points. They help cooks avoid tiring joke, peeling potatoes or standing for hours in the kitchen. This saves time for people to do most of important things. Special meals can also be made for different diets or personal tastes whenever needed.
However, there are some problems. Cooking is a fun activity that helps people talk with each other and show their creativity. If humans stop cooking, we might lose these good thing. Families could become less close without working together in the kitchen.
Another worry is about learning. The kitchen is like a science lab at home. When children cook, they learn about materials, chemical changes, and how to solve problems. If machines take over, kids might fail to take these learning chances.
There are also cultural risks. AI sometimes uses simple patterns and might damage tradition recipes. For example, it could make Chinese dumplings or Italian pasta in the same boring way. Just like AI art looks similar in different apps, depending too much on robots might make a good taste the same.
Convenience often has hidden costs. We need to carefully watch how new technology influences our lives—especially with food, which is a big part of who we are and how we live every day.
1.Finish the following mind map. No more than 3 words for each.
① ② ③ ④ ⑤ ⑥ ⑦ ⑧

Passage 15
(2025·山东淄博·一模)
Tea is an essential part of both British and Chinese cultures, but the way they enjoy their tea differs greatly. English tea is traditionally served with milk, while Chinese tea is generally enjoyed without it. But how did these two tea-drinking cultures come to be so different?
English tea has a long and rich history that dates back to the 17th century. It is widely believed that tea was introduced to Britain from China, where it had been enjoyed for centuries. At first, tea was drunk in the Chinese way. However, tea was very expensive, and many people were unable to afford it. Adding milk to tea made it more satisfying and allowed people to drink more of it. Milk also softened the bitterness of stronger black teas. Finally, this practice became part of British culture, leading to the “cuppa” that many Britons cherish today.
Chinese tea is typically served without any additions, enjoying the natural tastes of the tea leaves. There are different kinds of Chinese tea, each with its own brewing (泡制) method, such as green tea, oolong, pu-er and jasmine tea. The Chinese also value the brewing process (过程) and the proper etiquette (仪式). Tea-drinking is seen as a form of art, where people appreciate the tea in its purest form with no additions.
Tea in both England and China holds great cultural importance. In the UK, tea has been a symbol of comfort, conversation and community. The famous “afternoon tea” focuses on socializing in British culture, and it’s a social event to connect with others. In China, tea has a similarly deep-rooted history. Tea drinking is seen as a form of art, where people appreciate the tea in its purest form. Chinese tea ceremonies are complex and have been passed down for generations, showing respect for tradition and the natural world. The Chinese view tea as a spiritual experience, one that brings calmness and balance to the mind.
Whether served with milk or consumed in its purest form, tea in both cultures continues to be a symbol of connection and a moment of peace in a chaotic world.

【答案】1.17th century 2.① Adding milk to tea makes it more satisfying. ② It allows people to drink more of tea.③ Milk can also soften the bitterness of stronger black teas. 3.Green tea、 oolong, pu-er and jasmine tea 4.Chinese tea ceremonies are complex and have been passed down for generations, showing respect for tradition and the natural world. 5.示例一:I prefer Chinese tea without any additions because I can enjoy the natural tastes of the tea leaves and experience the traditional brewing process and etiquette.
示例二:I prefer British tea with milk because it tastes more satisfying and the milk softens the bitterness of the tea.

The Chinese view tea as a spiritual experience, one that brings calmness and balance to the mind.”可知,在中国,喝茶被视为一种艺术形式,茶道复杂且代代相传,体现对传统和自然的尊重,是一种带来平静和内心平衡的精神体验。故填Chinese tea ceremonies are complex and have been passed down for generations, showing respect for tradition and the natural world.
5.此为开放性问题,可根据个人喜好作答。故填示例一:I prefer Chinese tea without any additions because I can enjoy the natural tastes of the tea leaves and experience the traditional brewing process and etiquette.
示例二:I prefer British tea with milk because it tastes more satisfying and the milk softens the bitterness of the tea.

要求:(1)根据短文主题和内容,借助所给思维导图,梳理主要信息;(2)要点以关键词或短语形式呈现,且条理清晰;(3)作答内容控制在20—40词。

That is the force to keep him moving forward.

Last December 22, my parents and I arrived in Iceland for a holiday. This country only gets about five hours of sunshine every day in December. The sun doesn’t rise until about an hour before noon and sets at around 4 p.m.. The next morning, when we left for our glacier (冰川) hike at 8 a. m., it was very dark. It felt like we were travelling at night.
Before the hike, our guide asked us to put on hats that can protect our heads and special shoes. This way, we wouldn’t fall or get hurt easily while walking on the ice. Our guide led us on our climb up the glacier and on our visit to a huge ice cave. The cave was so cool!
Around 1 a. m. on December 25, we were all in a deep sleep when the hotel front desk woke us up with an alarm call. We put on our warm clothing, ran downstairs and saw the northern lights! The green, purple, red and yellow lights made up many amazing patterns. It was like these lights were dancing in the sky. After more than half an hour, the lights stopped. We went back to bed, but I was still excited!
During the next few days, we visited many other places in Iceland. After finishing our week-long trip, we came back home. This tour was so wonderful!

Artist shapes a bit of Chinese culture
Over the past three years, Kang Jian has created more than 400 dough sculptures (面塑) and become a city-inheritor (继承人) of the dough sculpture in Mohe, Heilongjiang province.
Kang has shown an interest in art, especially dough sculpture since he was a child. Every time his parents made dumplings, he would ask for a small piece of dough to make animals — a rabbit, a fish or a small. Those small dough animals brought him lots of good childhood memories. However, Kang didn’t learn art in college. His family was poor and his parents were not able to afford his art education. Kang left college in 2016 and worked in the Mohe Forestry Bureau.
Then in 2018, during a visit to a museum in Beijing, Kang learned something about dough sculpting. Then he had the idea of taking his childhood interest up. He visited some famous artists and learned to make dough sculptures from them. His skills were improved a lot.
As a fan of Chinese literature, Kang would like to make dough sculptures of Chinese heroes, such as Sun Wukong and Guan Yu. In April 2022, he even finished the dough sculptures of 108 heroes from the novel Outlaws of the Marsh after 16 months of work.
When Kang is free, he is invited to give classes at schools to teach students to make dough sculptures. He is happy to have a chance to tell young people about dough sculptures and stories about Chinese folk heroes. He expects more young people to take up this traditional art form.
86.Where is Kang Jian from?
87.Why didn’t Kang learn art in college?
88.How did Kang improve his skills of making dough sculptures?
89.How long did it take Kang to finish the 106 heroes from the novel Outlaws of the Marsh?
90.What’s Kang Jian’s hope?

51.What else do you think is good for our mental health except pets? Why?

The Earth’s going on a trip once again! Whether you have watched The Wandering Earth (流浪地球) in 2019 or not, the name must be well-known to you. Since it was China’s first science fiction (科幻) film, the cinemas were soon so crowded when it was on. The Wandering Earth Ⅱ came out on the first day of the Lunar New Year in 2023. It has become the newest hit.
As a prequel (前篇) to The Wandering Earth in 2019, the new movie describes the fact that humans are in danger of dying out for some reasons. To survive, they make different plans. Finally, they decide to build tens of thousands of huge engines on the surface of the Earth. They plan to drive the Earth to the nearest solar system. The movie shows how humans fight against disasters (灾难). In order to save the Earth, a group of young people have to step forward to start a race against time for life and death.
“The creators of The Wandering Earth Ⅱ are very similar to the characters in the movie. Their great courage and creative spirit are the engine to push the ‘planet’ of science fiction into the future,” said Liu Cixin, writer of the story The Wandering Earth and the novel The Three-body Problem. “We all know that China’s science fiction still has a long way to go. Luckily, there are a group of people who are working very hard for it.”
From The Wandering Earth four years ago to this year’s prequel, director Guo Fan always hope people can remember the idea expressed in them. Because of the love for our homeland, we won’t escape from the Earth in a spaceship, but choose to wander with the planet at last.

Passage 4
(2025·山东潍坊·中考)
A well-known 75-year Harvard study shows that children who do chores can become more independent and successful when they grow up. In fact, chores are very important to children’s future development, as they bring many benefits (益处).
When children do chores, they can get a sense of achievement because they can see the results soon after finishing the chores. Especially when their parents say thanks for their help and tell them they’ve made the day easier, they will know they are useful and able to help their families. This experience can also encourage children to be more active outside of the family.
What’s more, they will learn that it is everyone’s duty (责任) to take part in the household chores. It helps to stop them from growing up spoiled (惯坏的). Life doesn’t simply offer everything on a plate. It takes much effort to turn what we want into reality.
Besides, they will learn how to manage their time through chores. Doing chores from a young age helps children to get used to them. Children learn to include them in their day with all other activities such as studies and play. Time management is a useful skill, too. When they grow up, they need to balance different parts of their life like work and family.
Chores also teach important life skills. Chores are usually related to household tasks-washing dishes, sweeping the floor, making the bed, etc. These are all life skills that children need to develop. The only way to learn is by doing.
Chores aren’t just about keeping the house clean. They are life lessons.

Though he missed the exam, Jiang said he had no regrets about his decision. “Exams can be taken again, but a life cannot,” he said.
1.What were Jiang Zhaopeng and his classmate doing when the emergency happened?
2.How did Jiang save his classmate?
3.Why did the taxi driver run red lights?
4.What happened to Jiang as a result of helping his classmate?

5.According to the writer’s opinion, what should we do?

(2025·山东聊城·中考)
Many students ask for advice about how to improve their English. Here are three basic questions.
The first question is about understanding English films and songs. Li Hao from Hubei wrote, “I like watching English films and listening to English songs, but I don’t understand very much. What can I do?”
Watching films and listening to songs are great ways to learn English! Watch and listen several times, and guess the meaning of the new words. Each time you will learn something new. I also advise you to talk about the films or songs with your friends in English.

You can say, “Hello, how are you?” “Do you like China?” These are good ways to start a conversation. And before you begin, you should smile at her! Remember this: Do not be shy. Just try.
The third question is about vocabulary. Zhang Lei from Anhui wrote, “I write down new words, but I forget them quickly. How can I remember them?”

2.What suggestions would you give to make AI kitchens better for family life? (Give two ideas on the text.)
1.When was tea introduced to Britain?
2.List at least two reasons why the British add milk to their tea.
3.What kinds of Chinese tea are mentioned in the passage?
4.What do you know about the cultural importance of tea in China?
5.Do you prefer British tea with milk or Chinese tea without any additions? Why?
