We have two basic ways to see: the product and the process. Generally, people viewed personal growth as an external result or a product that can easily be identified and measured. However, the process of personal growth is not easy to judge, since it is a progress and there is not a specific reflection on it. In the process, it is a long road that never really ends, and we need to overcome those feelings of insecurity and self-doubt along the way. There are always new things to experience, new ideas to try and new challenges to face. If we do not face or overcome these internal fears and doubt or protect ourselves too much, then we stop growing. 72.Who is to blame for the accident that happened at the crossroads? 73.On the back cover of the final issue were the words: as is a tale, so is life. 74.The Chinese people boast/admire a historically elaborate style, as can be seen in architecture, costumes and food. 75.Tu Youyou committed all her passion to finding a cure for malaria and became the first Chinese scientist to win the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. 76. Dear Principal, I am writing to express my thoughts regarding the suggestion of canceling the buffet lunch system at our school. I do not agree with canceling it, as it provides students with variety and flexibility in choosing their meals, which is valuable for meeting different dietary needs and preferences. However, I acknowledge the issues of food waste and nutritional imbalance. To address these concerns, I suggest implementing educational sessions on balanced diets to guide students in making healthier food choices. Additionally, placing clear portion guidance signs can remind students to take only what they can consume. Monitoring and providing feedback on food waste can also raise awareness. These measures can help maintain the benefits of the buffet system while reducing its drawbacks. Thank you for your attention to this matter. ………………○……………… … 学校:______________姓名:_____________班级:_______________考号:______________________ 2025-2026学年高一下学期期中模拟卷02(上海卷) 英语 (考试时间:120分钟 试卷满分:140分) 注意事项: 1. I.Listening Comprehension (第1-10题, 每题1分;第11-20题,每题1.5分;共25分) Section A Directions: In Section A, you will hear ten short conversations between two speakers. In recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) has 31 many parts of student life. From AI writing assistants and smart learning apps to voice translation tools and virtual tutors, students today are surrounded by 32 technology. For many teenagers, AI has become not only a study tool but also a part of daily routine. One of the most 33 aspects of AI is its ability to make learning more efficient. Students can get grammar corrections, math solutions, and essay suggestions in seconds. Many AI platforms also offer students special 34 , which make learning tools cheaper and more accessible, especially for families who cannot 35 expensive tutoring. In this way, well-developed Al tools help narrow the learning gap between students from different backgrounds. However, relying too much on AI may bring challenges. Some students become overly 36 to AI, depending on it for homework and writing. This may reduce their critical thinking and creativity. It can also be 37 when a student uses AI-generated content that doesn’t match their real ability and is questioned by teachers. AI might 38 quick answers, but it does not teach students how to think deeply or express themselves in their own voice. Another issue is culture and communication. Al tools are often trained on global data and may ignore local values or school rules. For example, they might misunderstand local 39 or suggest examples that are not suitable for classroom use. Students need to develop the ability to judge what AI gives them instead of trusting it blindly. Overall, AI is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it brings great convenience and learning support. On the other hand, it may lead to over-dependence and shallow learning if not used 40 . As AI continues to develop, students must learn how to use it wisely. Teachers and parents also have a role to play in helping young people find a healthy balance between technology and personal effort. However, if 29-year-old Nzambi Matee has her way, the unpleasant plastic 44 will soon be transformed into colourful bricks. The material engineer’s search to find a (n) 45 solution to control plastic pollution began in 2017. She quit her job as a data analyst at a local chemical factory and set up a small lab in her mother’s backyard. It took her nine months to produce the first brick and even longer to 46 a partner to help build the machinery to make them. But the determined eco-entrepreneur was confident in her idea and did not 47 . She says, “I wanted to use my education in applied physics and material engineering to do something about the problem of plastic waste pollution. But I was very 48 that the solution had to be practical, sustainable, and affordable. The best way to do this was by 49 the waste into the construction and finding the most efficient and affordable material to build homes.” Her company, Gjenge Makers, now hires 112 people and produces over 1,500 bricks a day. The pavers (铺路材料) are made using a mix of plastic products that cannot be reprocessed or recycled. The polymer is obtained 50 from factories or picked by hired locals from Nairobi’s largest landfill, Dandora. Choose the one that fits best according to the information given in the passage you have just read. A Jose Ferrer was known as one of the most successful American film actors of his generation, but he actually began his career in theater. He was born on January 8, 1909 in Puerto Rico and moved to the United States when he was six years old. His acting skills were first showcased while he attended Princeton University and performed with the Triangle Club, a student acting group whose alumni also include Jimmy Stewart and F. Scott Fitzgerald. After graduating, Ferrer continued to perform in theater until he made his first Broadway show in 1935 in the play Charley’s Aunt. He had many successful roles on Broadway, including a role in 1943 when he played the villain Iago in Shakespeare’s play Othello. The title role of Othello in that production was played by the famous actor Paul Robeson. With these two powerful performers, Othello became the longest running play in Broadway history. This record still stands. Ferrer’s greatest role, though, was still to come. In 1946, Ferrer was cast in the title role of Cyrano de Bergerac. He won the celebrated Tony award as Cyrano, the tragic hero who fights men with great courage but hides his love for the beautiful Roxanne. His success in this role led directly to his repeated performances as Cyrano in a film version (for which he won an Oscar) and a television version (for which he won an Emmy). He is the only actor to win all three of those special awards for playing the same role. This achievement is all the more outstanding because Cyrano de Bergerac was known as a desirable role, one that had been played very well previously by other talented actors. Through these roles, Ferrer earned a reputation on Broadway as an extremely flexible actor, talented enough to play many diverse roles. Eight years after his first show in professional theater, he finally started performing in movies. Once he began appearing in films, that skill translated into many great performances and memorable roles. His film career included both acting and directing opportunities and lasted nearly forty years. 56.Which of the following is in line with the author’s viewpoint? A.Cyrano de Bergerac was Ferrer’s favorite role to perform. B.Ferrer’s career was long because he was able to play many different roles. C.Ferrer regretted waiting years before he became a screen actor. D.Cyrano de Bergerac is the greatest role ever written for the Broadway stage. 57.Which of the following can be inferred from the passage? A.Most members of the Triangle Club have successful acting careers. B.Ferrer was more honored by his Tony award than by his Emmy or Oscar. C.The record-setting run of Othello may have been in part due to Paul Robeson. D.Ferrer did not perform again on Broadway after he began performing in movies. 58.The author would most likely agree with all of the following EXCEPT ________. A.Paul Robeson was seen by some as a very talented actor. B.Ferrer somewhat contributes to the success of Othello in history. C.Some actors consider Cyrano de Bergerac a role they would like to perform. D.Ferrer’s successful performance in Othello was his first Broadway performance. 59.Which of the following is the primary purpose of the passage? A.To discuss the success of Puerto Rican actors on Broadway. B.To contrast the history of theater with the history of television. C.To provide a brief summary of the career of a well-regarded American actor. D.To suggest that Jose Ferrer was the best actor ever to play Cyrano de Bergerac. B Van Gogh experienced a mental disorder Experts analyzed van Gogh’s medical records and hundreds of his letters, and interviewed three historians specializing in the artist. They believe that the findings point to the artist having experienced two periods of mental disorder in the final years of his life. These may have been caused in part by enforced withdrawal from alcohol, upon which van Gogh was increasingly dependent. HS2 dig shows magical marks Medieval graffiti (中世纪涂鸦) found in the remains of a church in Buckinghamshire may have been created to ward off bad spirits which is considered negative at that time, experts suggest. The marks, found carved into stones in the ruined church, likely date from the 12th century. It’s among the discoveries made as work continues on Britain’s new high-speed HS2 rail line, which is set to begin operation from 2029. End of the Stone Age saw monumental building rise The final years of the Neolithic period (新石器时代) were marked by intense building activity and the construction of several large monuments in Britain, a new study suggests. Analysis of a henge (巨石阵) at Mount Pleasant in Dorset shows that it took between 35 and 125years to build, rather than centuries, as previously thought. Experts assume that the effort may have been inspired by a sense that times were changing. First settlers in North America used dog hair for clothing Finding a landscape short of animals to domesticate, the first humans to arrive in North America bred the dogs that traveled with them from Eurasia for hunting, for labor and, most often, for fur. That’s a theory suggested by a study of 170,000 dogs’ bones found in the northwest of North America. Their hair may have been made into yarn (纱线) for use in clothing, experts suggest. 60.What does the phrase ward off mean in the second paragraph? A.prevent B.cause C.invade D.reverse 61.Which of the following statement is true? A.Van Gogh’s mental disorder was completely caused by alcohol. B.HS2 dig is meant to discover Medieval ruins. C.The Neolithic period lasted about 35 to 125 years. D.First settlers in North America raised dogs mainly for fur. 62.Who are probably the target readers of the text? A.Animal protectors. B.Scientific researchers. C.City architects. D.History lovers. C “It’s free and always will be,” Facebook promised on its landing page for nearly a decade. The world’s largest social network still is. But from this week its users and those of its sister app, Instagram, will have the option of paying $11.99 a month for a “verified (经核实的)” account, buying them better customer service and more widely distributed posts. The subscription is the latest example of a growing trend. Last June Snapchat, a messaging app popular among 20-somethings, launched a $3.99 plan called Snapchat+. In December Twitter relaunched Twitter Blue, an $8-per-month service. Like Facebook’s offering, both offer extra services, the most significant being a higher visibility of the user’s posts in others’ feeds. It is hardly surprising that ad-supported networks are looking to diversify their sources of income. After years of non-stop growth the online-advertising business has hit a speed bump. The great one-off shift of ad budgets from online locations, like newspapers, to the web is mostly complete. The results have been painful. Meta, Facebook’s parent company, has reported falling profit in each of the past three quarters. Snap, which owns Snapchat, has lost nearly 90% of its market value in the same period. Subscriptions are no substitute for ads. Snap said that 2.5 million people had signed up to Snapchat+, less than 1% of its app’s 375 million daily users. That implies annual subscription sales of no more than $120 million, or less than 3% of Snap’s total income last year. Though Twitter has not said how many have joined, a recent leak put the figure at below 300,000. To the extent that social networks employ subscription it will mean a windfall for the mobile platforms that host their apps. Google, which runs the Android operating system, and Apple, which runs iOS, make no money from apps’ advertising, but take a cut of consumers’ in-app purchases, including subscriptions. Having blocked the mobile ad business with new privacy rules, Apple and Google stand to profit from the resulting move to subscriptions. There may be a sting in the tail. While Meta’s new service costs $11.99 for those signing up or the web, the price if paying through the app is $14.99. Similarly, Mr Musk, who has called Apple’s fees “a 30% tax on the Internet”, charges $8 for Twitter Blue online and $11 in the app. Such pricing has proved controversial, with Apple blocking apps such as Fortnite, a video game which told users they could pay less in a browser. But as more large companies adopt differential pricing, consumers may learn that they can get a big discount by signing up outside Apple and Google’s ecosystems. 63.What trend is described in the first two paragraphs? A.Social media platforms start to increase their subscription fees. B.Social media platforms are losing their appeal to young people. C.Social media platforms start to offer paid subscription services. D.Social media platforms are making efforts to maintain their users. 64.Why do social networks need to have more sources of income? A.Their market value has just started to rise. B.Ad budgets are returning to offline locations. C.Ad companies are giving up online platforms. D.Their online advertising business is slowing down. 65.The statistics in paragraph 4 are intended to ________. A.suggest a more feasible substitute for online advertising B.show that the contribution from the subscriptions is limited C.criticize social media platforms for their misleading information D.imply that there is no need to provide extra services for paying users 66.What can be inferred from the passage? A.Consumers can apply for a discount if they subscribe in apps. B.The mobile platforms may well benefit from the subscription plans. C.New privacy rules will impact negatively on the subscription services. D.Differential pricing will become a thing of the past due to consumers’ opposition. Section C Directions: Complete the following passage by using the sentences in the box Each sentence can only be used once. Note that there are two sentences more than you need. Defining Success on Your Own Terms “You go to college right out of high school. That’s the rule, right?” says Nikki Ivey, a sales trainer and consultant outside Jacksonville, Fla, However, it’s not the case for her. Actually, she got her undergraduate degree at 28. 67 One by one, she missed the milestones she’d envisioned in some imaginary dream life: earning six figures by 30, buying a house by 35. Then she hit one- attaining a high-level executive position in a company. She didn’t love the job. She did love sitting around the dinner table laughing with her kids. “ 68 ” she asked herself. She ended up leaving the job, and started to wonder about all those milestones. Danielle Ponder had a career as a lawyer before dedicating herself to singing full time. Working as a public defender in Rochester, NY, Danielle Ponder would frequently Google,“Did anyone make it after the age of 35? At one point, she quit her day job, only to return a year and a half later, due to the pandemic and disappointing bookings. On the last day of 2021, five days before her 40 birthday, she tried again. 69 “I don’t know if I could survive this happening to me at 19,“ she says. She thinks her insecure teen self wouldn’t have handled the stress of the public eye well. It can be hard to make a transition later in life. 70 A.Do I even want them? On whose clock? B.Why should you challenge that secret timeline of milestones in your head? C.This time, quitting her job led to her first album, television appearances and sold-out shows. D.Instead of feeling pressure to hit life events on someone else’s timeline, maybe it’s fine to make our own. E.People are felling like they’re falling behind, when in fact they’re probably doing exactly what they should. F.She spent years feeling like an outsider and failure as she watched her peers rise in school and work, figuring she’d never catch up. IV.Summary Writing (共10分) Directions: Read the following passage. Summarize the main idea and the main point( s)of the passage in no more than 60 words. Use your own words as far as possible. There are two basic ways to see growth: one as a product, the other as a process. People have generally viewed personal growth as an external (外在的) result or a product that can easily be identified and measured. The worker who gets a rise, the student whose grades improve, and the foreigner who learns a new language-all these examples of people who have measurable results to show for their efforts. By contrast, the process of personal growth is much more difficult to determine, since it is a journey and not the specific signposts or landmarks along the way. The process is not the road itself, but rather the attitudes and feelings people have,  their caution or courage, as they meet with new experiences and unexpected difficulties. In this process, the journey never really ends; there are always new ways to experience the world, new ideas to try, new challenges to accept. In order to grow, to travel new roads, people need to have a willingness to take risks, to face the unknown, and to accept the possibility that they may “fail” at first. How we see ourselves as we try a new way of being is essential for our ability to grow. Do we see ourselves as quick and curious? If so, we tend to take more changes and be more open to unfamiliar experiences. Do we think we’re shy and indecisive? Then our sense of fear can cause us to hesitate, to move slowly, and not to take a step until we know the ground is safe.Do we think we are slow to adapt to change or that we’re not smart enough to deal with a new challenge? Then we are likely to take a more passive role or not try at all. These feelings of insecurity and self-doubt are both unavoidable and necessary if we are to change and grow. If we do not face or overcome these internal fears and doubt,if we protect ourselves too much, then we stop growing. We become trapped inside a shell of our own making. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ V.Translation (共15分。第1小题和第2小题,每题3分;第3题4分;第4题5分。) Directions:Translate the following sentences into English, using the words given in the brackets 72.谁该为这起发生在十字路口的车祸负责?(blame) (汉译英) _______________________________________________________________________________ 73.在最后一期的封底上印着这样的文字:人生就像故事一样。(On....)(汉译英) _______________________________________________________________________________ 74.中华民族自古以来都推崇精致风格,建筑、服装和饮食中都可见一斑。(as)(汉译英) _______________________________________________________________________________ 75.屠呦呦将她所有的热情投入到寻找疟疾的治疗方法中,并成为第一位获得诺贝尔生理学或医学奖的中国科学家。(commit) (汉译英) _______________________________________________________________________________ VI.Guided Writing (共25分) 76.Directions: Write an English composition in 120-150 words according to the instructions given below in Chinese. 你是高三学生李华,你所属的学校本学期实行午餐自助餐制(buffet lunch),目前发现了食物浪费和饮食不均衡等问题,有人建议取消自助餐制。给校长写电子邮件,谈谈你的看法。邮件中必须包括: 1. 你是否赞成取消自助餐制; 2. 你的理由; 3. 如赞成,你建议的新就餐形式/如反对,你建议的改进措施。 (邮件中不得出现考生姓名,学校等真实信息) ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 试题 第3页(共6页) 试题 第4页(共6页) 试题 第11页(共12页) 试题 第12页(共12页) 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 2025-2026学年高一下学期期中模拟卷02(上海卷) 英语 (考试时间:120分钟 试卷满分:140分) 注意事项: 1.答卷前,考生务必将自己的姓名、考生号等填写在答题卡和试卷指定位置上。 2.回答选择题时,选出每小题答案后,用铅笔把答题卡对应题目的答案标号涂黑。如需改动,用橡皮擦干净后,再选涂其他答案标号。回答非选择题时,将答案写在答题卡上。写在本试卷上无效。 3.考试结束后,将本试卷和答题卡一并交回。 I.Listening Comprehension (第1-10题, 每题1分;第11-20题,每题1.5分;共25分) Section A Directions: In Section A, you will hear ten short conversations between two speakers. 你的理由; 3. 如赞成,你建议的新就餐形式/如反对,你建议的改进措施。 (邮件中不得出现考生姓名,学校等真实信息) ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 1 / 12 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $听力考试正式开始。You are a little late. C. really. I picked the museum to a science museum up in canada. IT looks sort of like a spaceship. I read about that. I was built about twenty years ago, I think, by the same architect who designed the building. I'm interested in Douglas smith. That's him. But I can't imagine Smith designing anything in the traditional classical style. Well, this new structure has to fit in with the architecture of the surrounding buildings, but its style is anything but traditional. I don't mean that is one of those big glass boxes they call modern architecture. Though this build has rounded free form shapes and sweeping curves, IT is supposed to represent the natural forms like the kenyon clifts in the western states. Rock formations that were shaped by water in the wind sounds fantastic. but I wonder why that sort of style would be chosen for a building in washington. D. C. That's easy. This place is called national museum of american indian, and it's devoted to exhibits of native american cultures, including those of the west. And for smith, this is his own family treasure, too. And in designing this museum, he was careful to respect the various native american values and traditions, like paying attention to the directions of winds and the position of the sun in different seasons of the year. Wow, a non traditional building designed to showcase some of north americans. All these traditions. interesting. Each passage is followed by several questions or unfinished statements. For each of them there are four choices marked A, B, C and D. 【答案】56.B 57.C 58.D 59.C 【导语】本文是一篇记叙文,主要介绍了美国演员何塞・费勒的演艺生涯。他出生于波多黎各,6岁移民美国,在普林斯顿大学时就展现出表演天赋。毕业后先投身戏剧舞台,在百老汇取得诸多成功,后涉足电影和电视领域,凭借饰演西拉诺这一角色荣获托尼奖、奥斯卡奖和艾美奖,其演艺生涯长达近40年。 56.推理判断题。根据最后一段“Through these roles, Ferrer earned a reputation on Broadway as an extremely flexible actor, talented enough to play many diverse roles. His film career included both acting and directing opportunities and lasted nearly forty years.(通过这些角色,费勒在百老汇赢得了极具可塑性演员的声誉,他才华横溢,能够饰演多种不同角色。他的电影生涯包括表演和导演机会,持续了近40年)” 可知,费勒的职业生涯很长,是因为他能够扮演许多不同的角色。故选B。 57.推理判断题。根据第二段“He had many successful roles on Broadway, including a role in 1943 when he played the villain Iago in Shakespeare’s play Othello. The title role of Othello in that production was played by the famous actor Paul Robeson. With these two powerful performers, Othello became the longest running play in Broadway history.(他在百老汇塑造了许多成功的角色,其中包括 1943 年在莎士比亚戏剧《奥赛罗》中饰演反派伊阿古。在那部作品中,主角奥赛罗由著名演员保罗・罗伯逊饰演。有了这两位出色的演员,《奥赛罗》成为百老汇历史上演出时间最长的剧目)”可知,有了保罗・罗伯逊和何塞・费勒这两位强大的演员,《奥赛罗》成为百老汇历史上演出时间最长的戏剧。故选C。 58.细节理解题。根据第二段“After graduating, Ferrer continued to perform in theater until he made his first Broadway show in 1935 in the play Charley’s Aunt.(毕业后,费勒继续在剧院表演,直到1935年他在百老汇上演的《查理的姑妈》中首次亮相)” 可知,他在百老汇的首次演出是《查理的姑妈》,不是《奥赛罗》。故选D。 59. 【答案】60.A 61.D 62.D 【导语】本文是一篇说明文。主要介绍四则关于梵高、HS2挖掘、新石器时代末期及北美首批定居者的历史与科学发现。 60.词句猜测题。根据第二段中的“Medieval graffiti (中世纪涂鸦) found in the remains of a church in Buckinghamshire may have been created to ward off bad spirits which is considered negative at that time, experts suggest. (专家称,在白金汉郡一座教堂遗址中发现的中世纪涂鸦可能是为了ward off当时被认为是负面的恶灵。)”可知,中世纪涂鸦可能是为了抵御恶灵,故“ward off”意为“防止、抵御”。故选A项。 61.细节理解题。根据第四段中的“Finding a landscape short of animals to domesticate, the first humans to arrive in North America bred the dogs that traveled with them from Eurasia for hunting, for labor and, most often, for fur. 【答案】63.C 64.D 65.B 66.B 【导语】本文是一篇新闻报道。文章主要讨论了社交媒体平台开始提供付费订阅服务这一趋势。由于在线广告业务增长放缓,像 Facebook、Snapchat和Twitter这样的社交媒体平台纷纷推出付费订阅服务以增加收入来源。同时,文章通过数据表明目前订阅服务的贡献有限,并指出移动平台可能会从这些订阅计划中受益。 63.细节理解题。根据第一段中“The world’s largest social network still is. But from this week its users and those of its sister app, Instagram, will have the option of paying $11.99 a month for a “verified (经核实的)” account, buying them better customer service and more widely distributed posts. In December Twitter relaunched Twitter Blue, an $8-per-month service. (去年六月,在二十几岁人群中很受欢迎的即时通讯应用Snapchat 推出了一项3.99美元的计划,名为Snapchat+。去年十二月,推特重新推出了推特蓝,这是一项每月8美元的服务。)”可知,前两段描述了社交媒体平台开始提供付费订阅服务。故选C项。 64.推理判断题。根据第三段中“After years of non-stop growth the online-advertising business has hit a speed bump. Having blocked the mobile ad business with new privacy rules, Apple and Google stand to profit from the resulting move to subscriptions. (运行安卓(Android)操作系统的谷歌(Google)和运行iOS操作系统的苹果(Apple)并不从应用广告中获利,而是从消费者的应用内购买(包括订阅)中抽成。在用新的隐私规则阻止移动广告业务之后,苹果和谷歌将从由此产生的订阅业务中获利。)”可知,移动平台可能会从社交网络的订阅计划中受益,因为他们通过应用内购买收取分成。故选B项。 Section C Directions: Complete the following passage by using the sentences in the box Each sentence can only be used once. (她说:“我不知道这些事情在19岁时发生在我身上我是否能挺过。”她认为,没有安全感的青少年时期的自己无法很好地应对公众的压力。)”提到了她对于压力的反应,C项(这一次,她辞掉了工作,推出了她的第一张专辑,在电视上露面,演出场场爆满。)承接上文,她做出了尝试并取得成功,与后文的自我反思相呼应,故选C项。 70.前文“It can be hard to make a transition later in life.(在以后的生活中很难做出转变。)”提到了做出转变的艰难,D项(与其在别人的时间表上完成生活事件而感到压力,不如自己制定自己的时间表。)承接上文,说明了改变和不改变都有难处,但改变的好处是可以过上自己喜欢的生活,掌控自己的生活,故选D项。 IV.Summary Writing (共10分) Directions: Read the following passage. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】How do we see someone’s growth? We have two basic ways to see: the product and the process. Generally, people viewed personal growth as an external result or a product that can easily be identified and measured. However, the process of personal growth is not easy to judge, since it is a progress and there is not a specific reflection on it. In the process, it is a long road that never really ends, and we need to overcome those feelings of insecurity and self-doubt along the way. There are always new things to experience, new ideas to try and new challenges to face. If we do not face or overcome these internal fears and doubt or protect ourselves too much, then we stop growing. 【导语】本文是一篇说明文。本文主要介绍了看待增长有两种基本方式:一种是产品,另一种是过程。然而,个人成长的过程是不容易判断的,因为它是一个进步,没有一个具体的反映,在这个过程中,这是一条永远不会结束的漫长道路,我们需要克服沿途的不安全感和自我怀疑感。如果我们不面对或克服这些内心的恐惧和怀疑,或者过多地保护自己,那么我们就会停止成长。 【详解】1. 要点摘录 ①There are two basic ways to see growth: one as a product, the other as a process. ②By contrast, the process of personal growth is much more difficult to determine, since it is a journey and not the specific signposts or landmarks along the way. ③In order to grow, to travel new roads, people need to have a willingness to take risks, to face the unknown, and to accept the possibility that they may “fail” at first. ④If we do not face or overcome these internal fears and doubt,if we protect ourselves too much, then we stop growing. 2. 缜密构思 将第1、2两个要点进行重组,将第3、4两个要点进行整合。 3. 遣词造句 How do we see someone’s growth?
