Three days ago, Jake was hiking alone in a forest. He strayed from the path and got lost. As it grew dark, thick fog covered the area. Jake slipped on a wet rock and fell into a deep ravine. His leg was hurt, and he couldn’t climb out. He shouted for help, but no one heard him. Just as Jake started to lose hope, he heard barking. A golden retriever appeared at the edge of the ravine! The dog ran back and forth, barking loudly. Minutes later, a park ranger followed the noise and found Jake. The dog even dragged a long stick toward the ravine to help pull him up. After Jake was safely rescued, the dog stayed by his side until the ranger took him to a hospital.
