Taking exercise, which can not only enhance our immunity but also release us from the fast-paced life, plays an important role in our health. There are various kinds of sports activities including ball games as well as other activities like swimming and hiking. When it comes to the sports which I am fond of, running must be mentioned. For one thing, it is easy to carry out. We can do running in our community or in the park, saving us much time and money in finding a proper place. For another, we can do it as we like, by ourselves or in a group. So why not choose a sport and enjoy its benefits? 第二节(满分25分)   I also learnt that the blue jacket was his grandfather’s old work coat. It had accompanied him for years and was full of warm memories with his grandfather. He treasured it more than any other clothing. To him, the jacket was a daily reminder of his grandfather’s hope — a quiet push to keep learning and making improvement. I realized the jacket wasn’t just clothes; it was a special reminder of his grandfather and his own skills. After the interview, I was getting to know the real Daniel. When I introduced my class project, I showed a photo of Daniel repairing the bike. I told the class about his talent and his dream. After that, my classmates saw him differently. He still wears the jacket, but now if something is broken, students say, “Go to ask Daniel.” I learned an important lesson: everyone has a special story and something they are good at. If you take the time to observe, you might find a great friend where you least expect it. 1 / 2 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ ………………○……………… ………………○……………… ………………○……………… … 学校:______________姓名:_____________班级:_______________考号:______________________ 2025-2026学年高一下学期期中模拟卷02 英 语 (满分150分,考试用时120分钟) 注意事项: 1. 1.What does Karen ask the man to do? B Healing the Whole Family For a long time, I didn’t know about depression and anxiety, and the adults around me never suspected, because it seemed that I had it all together: perfect SAT (美国学业能力倾向测验) score, ten AP (大学先修课程) tests passed successfully, national awards won, president of clubs, devoted volunteer, and founder of a nonprofit. When I burst into tears, my father would yell at me to stop crying. And when I shared my negative thoughts with my mother, she called me selfish. I felt unworthy of their love until I was perfect enough. I attended Yale University as a first-generation Japanese student supported through financial aid, worked at McKinsey, one of the world’s largest consulting firms, and received two master’s degrees from Stanford University. My fears of not being good enough seem groundless now, but perhaps were understandable given my upbringing. Raised by neglectful and abusive parents, my parents had scars they dared not uncover even for themselves to see. No one had taught them to address those traumas (创伤) and to avoid repeating them through anxiety-filled parenting. I cannot remember a time when my home was worry-free. I learned early that any moment without worry was idle. When my grandmother died in my freshman year of college, my mother chose to “get on with” her life, focusing on raising my brother. For years after, my brother struggled with his weight and schoolwork to the point of near expulsion (开除) from school. As my mother looked for ways to help my brother, she came across Virginia Satir’s family therapy. Satir saw every family as a system. Changing one part changes the whole thing. This made my mother start processing her own traumas. So did I. During college, I sought counseling and studied wellness. I began to keep a diary to overcome my past’s shadow. In my final year, I told my family I had seen a therapist, and that it had helped. My family was surprised to find out my mental health challenges were “bad enough” to lead me to seek help. It was hard on my parents, who are part of a generation focused on survival rather than wellness, to hear how their parenting had made a lasting impact on me. It took much time and effort for my parents to shift away from the mindset they had grown up with. Years into the journey, my mother now runs a nonprofit organization teaching thousands of Mandarin-speaking parents about conscious communication. At her recent workshop, heard my dad tell a parent, “I didn’t believe in therapy until my daughter told me that it’s like fixing a cavity (蛀牙洞) at the dentist, which makes a lot of sense to me now. Watching my family learn helped me see that I have room to grow, too.” 24.Why did the author mention all her achievements? A.To stress that achievements didn’t ensure emotional well-being. B.To prove that she was qualified to be critical about her family. C.To invite readers to rethink the definition of success. D.To show her parents played a role in her education. 25.What is Paragraph 3 mainly talking about? A.The upbringing of the author’s parents. B.The root cause of the author’s anxieties. C.The terrible author-parental relationship. D.The common fixed images of Asian students. 26.What motivated the author’s mother to deal with her own traumas? A.The focus on her own wellness. B.The sorrow brought by the death of her own mother. C.The fact that her daughter was diagnosed with depression. D.The belief that changing herself might help address her son’s issues. 27.Which of the following best describes the purpose of the article? A.To analyze the generational differences in attitudes towards wellness. B.To record how the author came to understand and forgive her parents. C.To show the role of family interactions in mental health and trauma recovery. D.To describe the author’s personal struggles of overcoming depression and anxiety. C Extreme weather events, such as tornadoes, can cause widespread damage to forests, leading to environmental and financial losses. When trees fall during these storms, ecosystems might be influenced, increasing forest management costs. As climate change worsens, severe storms are expected to become more frequent, making it important to understand how forests respond to wind stress. While previous studies have explored how trees react to wind, it is unclear whether these responses remain the same across different forest configurations. With this aim, a team of researchers led by Associate Professor Kana Kamimura, tested how trees move under various forest arrangements and weather conditions, including how trees withstand wind. The research aims to explain how winds directly impact trees and how trees reduce the stress from wind to survive. To achieve this, researchers set up two experimental areas of cedar trees, in November 2017. In the first plot, P-100 was made up of 3,000 trees per hectare, creating a thick forest. In the second plot, P-50, half of the trees were removed for this research, leaving 1,500 trees per hectare. Over two years, the team watched 24 trees in the dense (密集的) area and 12 in the thinned area, using tools to track the range of trees movement during various wind conditions. The tracking period included many typhoons, such as Typhoon Trami, in 2018, which caused significant damage to the thinned plot. The researchers found that cedar trees show two completely different swaying patterns depending on wind speed. In light winds, the trees swayed at around 2 to 2.3 cycles per second, with their branches taking in much of the wind energy, protecting the trunks and roots from wind stress. However, at higher wind speeds, the trees changed to a slower swaying pattern of 0.2 to 0.5 cycles per second. In this case, the whole tree swayed together, changing force across the trunk and roots, increasing the probability of breakage or uprooting. Interestingly, the change between these two swaying patterns occurred at different wind speeds, depending on the forest density. In the dense area, the trees switched patterns at wind speeds between 1.79 and 7.44 meters per second. In contrast, in the thinned plot, the change occurred at slightly lower wind speeds, ranging from 1.57 to 5.63 meters per second. This study offers valuable understanding for balancing thinning with wind resistance in forest management to support long-lasting forestry practices, and help forests go through extreme climate changes. 28.What is the first paragraph mainly about? A.The results of the previous studies. B.The practical reasons for the research. C.The potential effects of extreme weather. D.The challenges brought by climate changes. 29.What does the underlined word “configurations” in Paragraph 2 probably mean? A.Areas. B.Sizes. C.Types. D.Layouts. 30.What can we infer from the study conducted by the researchers? A.The trees tend to sway more violently as the wind becomes stronger. B.The branches of trees took in most of the wind energy in strong wind. C.Planting trees in a thinned pattern can help protect trees from storms. D.Trees in thinned plots change their swaying pattern in lighter winds. 31.What is the main purpose of the passage? A.To call on people to plant more trees in thinned area. B.To raise people’s awareness of environment protection. C.To offer ideas for a more reasonable forest management. D.To compare the different swaying patterns of trees in storms. D A selfie taken by a wild monkey is at the center of a heated copyright dispute (争端) between a photographer and the website Wikimedia Commons. The central question is: Can a photographer who owns the camera claim ownership of photos actually taken by an animal? British wildlife photographer David Slater, whose camera was used by an Indonesian monkey to take its selfie, has said he owns the copyright. However, Andrew Bridges, an expert in copyright law, said Slater likely isn’t the copyright owner because he didn’t have sufficient artistic control over the photo. Copyright requires original creative expression of a work. This is true not only in the U. S., but also in Great Britain and Indonesia. Since Slater didn’t have creative control over the monkey and didn’t actually frame the images, he legally (合法) might not be considered to have been involved in the creative process. The image in question is one of the most popular images on Wikimedia Commons. Slater was on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi taking photographs. A curious monkey approached Slater’s cameras and began using them to take a variety of pictures, including one of itself. “They were quite mischievous, jumping all over my equipment and it looked like they were already posing for the camera when one hit the button,” Slater said. It’s such a funny picture that it became a big hit on the Internet and eventually found its way to Wikimedia Commons, where people were free to download it. However, Slater said Wiki-media was hurting him financially (经济上), and he demanded the website remove the image because he was the copyright owner. Wikimedia has refused because, it claims, Slater didn’t take the image and, therefore, he isn’t the copyright owner. The monkey can’t hold copyright, so the image should belong to the public. Some wildlife protectors say they can claim the copyright on behalf of the animals. 32.What does Andrew Bridges think about Slater’s claim to the copyright of the photo? A.Slater is the rightful owner. B.Slater likely isn’t the copyright owner. C.Slater should share the copyright with the monkey. D.Slater can claim the copyright if he edits the photo later. 33.What is the main idea of the passage? A.How to take good photographs of wild animals. B.The importance of protecting wildlife in Indonesia. C.A copyright dispute over a selfie taken by a monkey. D.The impact of social media on photographers’ income. 34.What does the underlined word “mischievous” in Paragraph 4 mean? A.Naughty. B.Friendly. C.Frightened. D.Tired. 35.What is the author’s primary intention in discussing the copyright dispute over the monkey’s selfie? A.To argue for stricter copyright laws. B.To encourage the use of free images on the internet. C.To highlight the importance of wildlife conservation. D.To question the definition of artistic control in copyright law. People hate packaging. And, yes, there’s a lot of bad and wasteful packaging out there. 36 When it comes to protecting and dispensing (分发) food, the right package can greatly reduce waste. Here are a few examples. Packaging keeps the meat fresh. We throw away a fifth of the beef we buy — the equivalent (等量) of 8 million cows each year — often because it goes bad before we cook it. The solution? 37 Case-ready packaging can lengthen that shelf life to up to 21 days. If the meat you bought isn’t going to be eaten within a few days, case-ready packaging is the better choice for the environment. 38 This dairy waste can be avoided with packaging technology such as Tetra Pak (利乐包装纸盒), which is commonly used in Europe and Asia to keep milk from spoiling, even without refrigeration. Recycled or not, Tetra Pak is a good environmental bet because it can lengthen the shelf life of milk up to nine months. 39 Once again, the environmental benefit of the food-protection technology outweighs the harmful impact of the packaging itself. Packaging Fixes Sticky Situations. 40 One example of waste-reducing packaging is the concept project shown from designer Drew Stanley. He designed a peanut butter jar made of a soft material which can be turned inside out and scraped (刮掉) clean, avoiding sticky food sticking to your fingers. A.Packaging protects milk. B.Using Tetra Pak packaging. C.But packaging isn’t always the enemy. D.We should pay attention to the rubbish produced by packaging. E.Scientists have developed packaging that can keep refrigerated meat fresh for weeks. F.It can reduce the need for refrigeration and the amount of milk that goes wasted. G.Food left behind in jars and bottles makes up a surprising amount of waste. I was first going into this final day, the Junior Sledge Dog Championship. He was very quiet. He always wore the same dark blue jacket, even on warm days. Some kids began calling him “Blue Coat” when he wasn’t listening. I never said the name myself, but I didn’t try to talk to him either. He seemed different, and at that age, it was easier to just stay away from people who were different. Our English teacher, Mrs. Lewis, gave us a class project. We had to interview a classmate we didn’t know very well and then introduce them. She picked the pairs randomly (随机). I was partnered with Daniel. I felt really upset. My friend Sam saw my face and looked sorry for me. I thought working with Daniel would be boring and uncomfortable. Daniel just looked down at his desk when he heard the news. I waited as long as possible before doing the interview. One afternoon after school, I finally went to find him. He was by the bike racks (架子), bent down next to a broken bicycle. A younger student looked worried, standing beside him. Daniel’s hands were dirty, but he was repairing the bike chain. “You can repair bikes?” I asked, surprised. He looked up and gave a small, shy smile. “Yes,” he said quietly. That changed everything then. We sat on a bench to talk. I learned that his grandfather had a bike shop and taught him how to repair things. His grandfather didn’t just teach him how to repair bikes; he always told Daniel that true skill meant not only fixing what was broken, but also imagining how to make things better. Daniel’s dream, he shared with me, was to design bicycles that were safer, more comfortable, and kinder to the environment. His eyes shone as he described bikes that could help more people ride easily. I also learnt that the blue jacket was his grandfather’s old work coat. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________________________________________ When I introduced my class project, I showed a photo of Daniel repairing the bike. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________________________________________ 试题 第3页(共6页) 试题 第4页(共6页) 试题 第11页(共12页) 试题 第12页(共12页) 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 2025-2026学年高一下学期期中模拟卷02 英 语·全解全析 (满分150分,考试用时120分钟) 注意事项: 1. 1.What does Karen ask the man to do? Check out these recommended attractions, which we think best capture the spirit of the ancient city.(如果您计划进行为期不到3天的西安之旅,那么您肯定希望游览所有的重要景点。 B。 B Healing the Whole Family For a long time, I didn’t know about depression and anxiety, and the adults around me never suspected, because it seemed that I had it all together: perfect SAT (美国学业能力倾向测验) score, ten AP (大学先修课程) tests passed successfully, national awards won, president of clubs, devoted volunteer, and founder of a nonprofit. 根据第一段“For a long time, I didn’t know about depression and anxiety, and the adults around me never suspected, because I looked like I had it all together: perfect SAT (美国学业能力倾向测验) score, ten AP (大学先修课程) tests aced, national awards won, president of clubs, dedicated volunteer, and founder of a nonprofit. When I burst into tears, my father would yell at me to stop crying. And when I shared my negative thoughts with my mother, she called me selfish. I felt unworthy of their love until I was perfect . 故选A。 25. 根据第三段“Raised by neglectful and abusive parents, my parents had scars they dared not uncover even for themselves to see. No one had taught them to address those traumas (创伤) and to avoid repeating them through anxiety-filled parenting. I cannot remember a time when my home was worry-free. 根据第五段“As my mother looked for ways to help my brother, she came across Virginia Satir’s family therapy. Satir saw every family as a system. Changing one part changes the whole thing. This made my mother start processing her own traumas.(当我母亲在寻找帮助我弟弟的方法时,她接触到了维吉尼亚・萨提尔的家庭治疗理论。 通读全文,并根据最后一段“Years into the journey, my mother now runs a nonprofit organization teaching thousands of Mandarin-speaking parents about conscious communication. At her recent workshop, heard my dad tell a parent, “I didn’t believe in therapy until my daughter told me that it’s like fixing a cavity (蛀牙洞) at the dentist, which makes a lot of sense to me now. Watching my family learn helped me see that I have room to grow, too.” C。 C Extreme weather events, such as tornadoes, can cause widespread damage to forests, leading to environmental and financial losses. 根据第一段“Extreme weather events, such as tornadoes, can cause widespread damage to forests, leading to environmental and financial losses. When trees fall during these storms, ecosystems might be influenced, increasing forest management costs. As climate change worsens, severe storms are expected to become more frequent, making it important to understand how forests respond to wind stress.(极端天气事件,比如龙卷风,可能会对森林造成大面积破坏,从而导致环境和经济方面的损失。 根据划线词后文“With this aim, a team of researchers led by Associate Professor Kana Kamimura, tested how trees move under various forest arrangements and weather conditions, including how trees withstand wind.(为此,由副教授金木川领导的一组研究人员进行了相关测试,他们考察了树木在各种森林布局和天气条件下(包括树木如何抵御风力)的移动情况)”可知,先前研究探索了树木对风的反应,但不清楚这些反应在不同森林布局中是否相同”。 根据第五段“Interestingly, the change between these two swaying patterns occurred at different wind speeds, depending on the forest density. In the dense area, the trees switched patterns at wind speeds between 1.79 and 7.44 meters per second. In contrast, in the thinned plot, the change occurred at slightly lower wind speeds, ranging from 1.57 to 5.63 meters per second.( 有趣的是,这两种摇摆模式之间的转变发生在不同的风速下,且取决于森林的密度。 根据最后一段“This study offers valuable understanding for balancing thinning with wind resistance in forest management to support long-lasting forestry practices, and help forests go through extreme climate changes.(这项研究为在森林管理中平衡树木的稀疏生长与抵御风力提供了宝贵的见解,有助于支持长期的林业实践,并帮助森林应对极端气候变化)”可知,文章最后一段明确指出,该研究为平衡森林疏伐与抗风性提供了见解,有助于更合理的森林管理和长期林业实践。 C。 D A selfie taken by a wild monkey is at the center of a heated copyright dispute (争端) between a photographer and the website Wikimedia Commons. 根据文章第二段“However, Andrew Bridges, an expert in copyright law, said Slater likely isn’t the copyright owner because he didn’t have sufficient artistic control over the photo.(然而,版权法专家Andrew Bridges表示,Slater可能不是版权所有者,因为他对这张照片没有足够的艺术控制权。)” 文章第一段“A selfie taken by a wild monkey is at the center of a heated copyright dispute (争端) between a photographer and the website Wikimedia Commons. The central question is: Can a photographer who owns the camera claim ownership of photos actually taken by an animal?(一只野生猴子拍摄的一张自拍照成为了摄影师与网站“维基共享资源”之间一场激烈版权纠纷的焦点。 根据划线词之后“jumping all over my equipment and it looked like they were already posing for the camera when one hit the button,”(在我的设备上跳来跳去,当其中一只按下按钮时,它们看起来已经在为相机摆姿势了。”)” 文章主要围绕“猴子自拍版权归属”问题展开,争议双方是摄影师(主张版权)和Wikimedia Commons(认为照片属于公共领域),第二、三通过专家观点(Andrew Bridges)和法律原则(如“艺术控制”)客观呈现争议,而作者并未直接支持任何一方,第二段“However, Andrew Bridges, an expert in copyright law, said Slater likely isn’t the copyright owner because he didn’t have sufficient artistic control over the photo.(然而,版权法专家Andrew Bridges表示,Slater可能不是版权所有者,因为他对这张照片没有足够的艺术控制权。)”以及第三段“Since Slater didn’t have creative control over the monkey and didn’t actually frame the images, he legally (合法) might not be considered to have been involved in the creative process.(由于Slater对这只猴子的表演没有创意控制权,而且他也没有实际拍摄这些画面,所以从法律角度来看,他或许不应被视为参与了创作过程。)” People hate packaging. And, yes, there’s a lot of bad and wasteful packaging out there.(人们讨厌包装。 而空格后的句子“When it comes to protecting and dispensing (分发) food, the right package can greatly reduce waste.(在保护和分配食物时,正确的包装可以大大减少浪费。)” 37.根据空格前的句子“We throw away a fifth of the beef we buy—the equivalent (等量) of 8 million cows each year—often because it goes bad before we cook it. 所以E项“Scientists have developed packaging that can keep refrigerated meat fresh for weeks.(科学家们已经开发出一种可以使冷藏肉类保持数周新鲜的包装。)” 根据下文的内容“This dairy waste can be avoided with packaging technology such as Tetra Pak (利乐包装纸盒), which is commonly used in Europe and Asia to keep milk from spoiling, even without refrigeration. Recycled or not, Tetra Pak is a good environmental bet because it can lengthen the shelf life of milk up to nine months.(使用利乐包等包装技术可以避免这种乳制品浪费。 故填A项。 39.根据空格后的句子“Once again, the environmental benefit of the food-protection technology outweighs the harmful impact of the packaging itself.(再一次,食品保护技术的环境效益超过了包装本身的有害影响。)” 所以,F项“It can reduce the need for refrigeration and the amount of milk that goes wasted.(它可以减少对冷藏的需求和浪费的牛奶量。)” 40.空格后的句子“One example of waste-reducing packaging is the concept project shown from designer Drew Stanley. He designed a peanut butter jar made of a soft material which can be turned inside out and scraped clean, avoiding sticky food sticking to your fingers.(设计师德鲁·斯坦利展示的概念项目就是减少废物包装的一个例子。 G项“Food left behind in jars and bottles makes up a surprising amount of waste.(留在罐子和瓶子里的食物造成了惊人的浪费)”填入空格处,符合语境。 I was first going into this final day, the Junior Sledge Dog Championship. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ When I introduced my class project, I showed a photo of Daniel repairing the bike. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________________________________________【答案】    I also learnt that the blue jacket was his grandfather’s old work coat. 词汇激活 行为类 ①珍藏:treasure/cherish/keep safe ②意识到:realize/be aware of ③看待:see/treat 情绪类 ①温暖:warm/heartfelt/sweet ②极好的:great/wonderful 【点睛】[高分句型 1] I realized the jacket wasn’t just clothes; it was a special reminder of his grandfather and his own skills. I felt crazy about what I saw there, the model of stars, the huge space ship. They inspired me to become an astronaut. That's great. What do you eat in space? Freeze dried food. We mix IT with water, and he heated, and it's quite tasty. How do you take a bath and go to . the bathroom? We just wash with wet cloth. We don't have much water in space. So the toilets don't use water. They use air. interesting. Do you have beds in space? Yes, but they're not like Normal ones. We need to be tied up so we won't fly around. One more question. Do you think space tourism will come true in the future? Um some companies are competing to build the first spacelines. The cost is high and the safety is another concern. If these problems can be solved, i'm quite hopeful about IT. Listen to the next question. Good morning, everyone. I'm so glad to join you and be your classmate. Now i'd like to tell you something about me. My name's alvin Brown. I was born in a small town in southern england. I moved to china with my family when I was twelve, and I have stayed here for four years now. I can speak both english and chinese because i've been learning chinese since I came to china. I'm the only child in my family. My father works at a computer company in beijing, and my mother teaches english at an international language school in the city. I love my parents, and they love me the same during my spare time. I love watching movies. They are. I love watching chinese movies. I preferred hollywood movies. I'm glad I can watch them easily in china. I love making friends. If you want to make friends with me, don't feel shy to talk to me. Good morning, everyone. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ When I introduced my class project, I showed a photo of Daniel repairing the bike. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 1 / 23 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
