(2025·湖南名校猜题卷)
One of the biggest risks a modern student faces is a broken phone or laptop.Jake Hertz and Isaac Roberts are two UR students that have launched a new business to fix this exact need:Campus Tech Repair.
Hertz and Roberts started their business three weeks ago.In those three weeks, they had amazing success. On the first day they had posters up,they received nearly a dozen calls from students.Despite not having backgrounds in business, the two gladly accepted the challenges of starting up such an in-demand service.
Hertz and Roberts experienced such a high demand because of the lack of any other hardware repair service on campus. The IT Center itself only provides software fixes:Hertz supposed that this was because of the increased liabilities (法律责任) faced by repair services.Hertz and Roberts did make customers sign a release of liability, yet they also wanted to build a higher level of trust. This,Hertz noted, was the only real challenge that they expected to face.
Becoming directly affiliated (隶属) with or sponsored by the school could solve the problem of community trust.Hertz and Roberts have already engaged in conversation with the University toward this end.
The Ain Center for Entrepreneurship they turn to seeks to identify and create new partnerships with students, alumni, local businesses, and non-profit organizations.
One program of the Ain Center that the two wish to look into is the “Student Incubator (孵化器)”.Such a move would allow them to develop a more-permanent structure to Campus Tech Repair. The Incubator provides resources such as furnished office space,Wi-Fi,access to conference room, and guidance.Yet,there's a problem with this.
“The appeal of what we do is that we're on campus,so we both just work out of our rooms,” Hertz said.
Hertz is optimistic about the future of the business. They believe that with the support of the University, and the community, they could become an inseparable part of campus services.

(2025·雅礼中学冲刺训练)
It has been more than fifty years since man last set foot on the moon but we're going back.In 2023,both Russia and India launched unmanned probes (探测器) designed to land on the moon.Unfortunately, the Russian probe had an engine misfire on its approach to the moon and crashed.Although Russia has never landed people on the moon,it has landed unmanned probes on the moon, although the last time that happened was in 1976.
China was the third country to successfully land an experimental package on the moon and the first to discover strange glass beads (珠) that it estimates could contain vast amounts of water. In June 2024,China's Chang'e-6 spacecraft successfully landed on the far side of the moon, marking the first landing there, and collected lunar samples to Earth.China has announced it aims to put its astronauts on the moon by 2030.
The Americans are also headed for the moon. They plan to launch a vehicle called Artemis Two in 2025 with four astronauts on board. The US also hopes to have scientists living on the moon by 2030.
All of this space exploration is dangerous and extremely costly but there are good reasons to go back. There is a lot we can learn about the history of the Earth by looking carefully at the geology (地质学) of the moon. If,in fact, there is water near the moon's south-pole,that could also give us valuable information about our own origins. The moon is seen as a stepping stone towards manned landings on Mars.Manned exploration of the Red Planet is certainly possible within the Red Planet lifetimes.
It's fascinating to watch this activity, but don't hold your breath waiting for Earthlings to visit another inhabitable (适合居住的) planet, one that could support us without the need for space-suits.The closest one of those is thought to be orbiting another star more than four light-years away,a journey that would take more than six thousand years and many generations using current technology. Will we get there someday? Perhaps, and the current space exploration may be baby steps towards that day.

(2025·江西省5月联考)
The Produce Aggregation Program, run by Southside Community Land Trust (SCLT),connects small-scale urban farmers with local communities in need of healthy food. The program collects and processes crops from multiple farmers, combining them into larger quantities for wholesale distribution. This helps overcome challenges small farms face, such as limited production capacity and lack of access to processing facilities and distribution networks.
SCLT operates a farm-to-market processing center and manages logistics (后勤) for regular distribution. The program supports 27 farmers, many of whom are refugees, immigrants,or members of marginalized communities. While many of the farmers still rely on farmer markets, the program provides a more stable income source.
Twice weekly during the growing season,SCLT orders produce from participating farmers, who deliver it to the food hub. There,it is sorted and packed into $20-value bags, each containing a variety of fresh produce. These are distributed at no cost through community partners such as clinics, recreation centers, and childcare programs. Some clinics distribute the produce through VeggieRx,a program where doctors prescribe (开处方) vegetables to patients.
The program is currently funded by the Local Food Purchase Assistance Cooperative Agreement Program, which was launched to support underserved farmers and increase food access. However, funding uncertainty remains a challenge.Rising costs, supply chain issues, limited land availability, and climate change all add strain to food assistance programs.
Despite these obstacles,SCLT continues its year-round work to improve food access. In addition to the Produce Aggregation Program, the non-profit supports 60 community gardens, offers training, and runs educational programs and internships.Altogether, its efforts provide healthy, culturally relevant food to about 1,200 families annually, with the support of local farmers, volunteers, and community partners.
