拓展思考(示例)
Part 1
Yuanmingyuan was a famous garden in Beijing. Emperor Kangxi began to build it in 1707. In 1860, British and French soldiers broke into it. They took away treasures and started a fire. The fire burned for three days. Now only ruins remain. Some people think we should rebuild it, but others think we should leave it as it is to remind people of history. I agree with leaving it.
Part 2
Machu Picchu is in Peru. It is more than 500 years old and 2,300 metres up in the Andes. Stonehenge is in the UK. It is about 5,000 years old. Both are in danger. Machu Picchu has too many tourists. People worry the modern world may change it. Stonehenge is hurt by visitors and car pollution. Now the road and car parks are further away, and visitors cannot touch the stones.
Part 3
I think we should leave Yuanmingyuan as it is now. Because the ruins tell a sad story. They remind us of the past and teach us to protect our culture. If we rebuild it, people may forget what happened there. We can build a museum nearby to show its history, but the broken garden itself is an important lesson. So I believe we should not rebuild it.
