Last summer, I took my first diving (潜水) lesson in the clear waters of Hainan Island. Nervous but excited, I strapped (系) on the heavy oxygen tank and followed my instructor, Mr. Chen, down the ladder of the boat. The moment my face hit the water, my ears popped, and I froze—suddenly, I was surrounded by silence and darkness.
“Relax and breathe steadily,” Mr. Chen signaled with hand gestures. My heart raced as I tried to control my panic (恐慌). Just then, a school of silver fish went past. They were shining like stars. I forgot my fear and reached out to touch them, but they disappeared into the deep.
Fifteen minutes later, my mask (面罩) fogged up completely. Blind and lost, I held Mr. Chen’s arm tightly. He calmly cleaned the mask and patted my shoulder, as if to say, “Trust the process.” Gradually, my breathing slowed. When I opened my eyes again, I gasped (喘气)—a coral reef stretched beneath me, with colourful seaweed and playful fish. The highlight came when a graceful sea turtle glided inches from my fingertips. I held my breath, amazed at its ancient shell. Mr. Chen pointed to dolphins in the distance. Their joy mirrored the happiness in my chest.
This experience taught me that courage isn’t the absence of fear—it’s moving forward despite it. Now, every time I see the ocean, I remember the turtles and the darkness I conquered beneath the waves.

A.In a swimming pool. B.In the Great Barrier Reef.

A.He gave the author swimming lessons. B.He cleaned the author’s fogged mask.
C.He carried the author back to the boat. D.He scared away the fish.
22.What lesson did the author learn from diving?
A.Dolphins are dangerous. B.Fear should always be avoided.
C.Courage means overcoming fear. D.Coral reefs need protection.

Nowadays, many people, especially teenagers, spend hours each day watching short videos on apps like TikTok or YouTube Shorts. These videos are fun and easy to watch. Teenagers look through funny clips (片段), dances, and games non-stop during meals, before sleep, and even in class. Studies show that many teenagers watch these videos for more than 2 hours daily.
This habit causes serious problems for teenagers. First, watching too many short videos makes it hard for them to focus on schoolwork. Videos change every 15-30 seconds and this trains the brain to want more excitement, so students find it difficult to read books or pay attention in class. Second, their reading skills may get worse. Short videos always use simple language, so teenagers might forget how to understand longer passages. Third, too much screen time causes less sleep and fewer face-to-face conversations, which hurts both physical and mental health of teenagers.
There are good ways to solve this problem. Parents can set “no phone” times during meals and homework. Schools should teach students about healthy screen time limits (限制). Teenagers should find offline hobbies like sports or art to cut down screen time.
Short videos aren’t all bad, but using them wisely is important. With good habits, teenagers can enjoy technology without hurting their health or studies.
23.According to Paragraph 1, why do teenagers like watching short videos?
A.They are fun and easy to watch. B.They are long and educational.
C.They help improve study efficiency. D.They are only available on TikTok.
24.What problem will watching too many short videos bring to teenagers’ study?
A.They will have better reading skills. B.They will pay more attention in class.
C.They will find it hard to focus on schoolwork. D.They will get higher scores in exams.
25.What can we infer (推断) from the passage?
A.Teens who watch short videos for 1 hour a day will have no problems.
B.Using short videos properly won’t hurt teens’ studies or health.
C.Short videos can’t influence teens’ reading skills.
D.Offline hobbies are not helpful for cutting down screen time.
26.What is the main idea of the passage?
A.Short videos are completely bad for teenagers.
B.Teenagers spend too much time watching short videos.
C.Only parents can help teenagers cut down screen time.
D.Short videos bring problems to teenagers, but we can solve them with good habits.

If you get angry many times in a day, it is time for you to think about how to deal with it. Here are some of my suggestions.
When you are angry, try to tell yourself through another voice that you are angry and that it is not a bad thing. It just shows that you have different ideas. Accept that many things are not 100% right or wrong. In our communication with others, the final purpose is not to decide who is right and who is wrong, but to look for something in common.
If you still feel strong anger, try taking a deep breath and let anger out of your body along with the breath. Don’t say angry words when you are very angry, for you will regret saying them when you cool down.
Discussing with a third person is helpful. It is hard for the two persons in anger to understand each other, but the idea of a third person can help both of them to understand each other.
Anger is just one of the many emotions (情绪) that make us human, and to manage it well adds to our ability to truly understand the world.
27.What is the final purpose of communication with other people?
A.To accept useful suggestions. B.To show different ideas.
C.To look for something in common. D.To decide whether one is right or not.
28.What does the writer advise us to do when we are very angry?
A.Control our voices. B.Say angry words. C.Try taking a deep breath. D.Stop talking with others.
29.What is the writer trying to tell us?
A.How to manage anger. B.How to show feelings. C.How to deal with regrets. D.How to understand the world.
30.Which of the following shows the structure of the text?
A. B. C. D.

Dear judges, it’s my great honor to attend The Voice of Youth here. My topic is volunteer work. I’m very glad to share my volunteer experience with you. Last Saturday, our class took part in a volunteer activity which aims to encourage students to protect the environment. At first, some of us thought we would work at school or at a park, but finally we went to the community garden with our teacher. We arrived there at half past 8 a.m., and the garden keeper, Mr. Brown, gave us a short training first. Our tasks included cleaning the roads, watering the plants, and planting some young trees. Look at these pictures. I worked with Lily to plant apple trees near the garden gate. Mr. Brown said these trees would produce fruit in 2 years. We also put up a poster that gives a general introduction to the trees. At noon, the garden looked much tidier and greener. Although we felt a little tired after the work, everyone was really happy. We learned that small efforts can make a big difference to the environment. Thanks for listening.

A.He gave the author swimming lessons. B.He cleaned the author’s fogged mask.

【答案】
66.drew 67.exactly 68.standing 69.with 70.its 71.French 72.methods 73.Although/Though 74.in 75.truly
根据前文“The show lasted for three months”可知,句子描述的是过去发生的事情,应用一般过去时。
完整结构为“When (they were) standing before it”,主语“many people”与“stand”之间是主动关系,故用现在分词形式作时间状语。
“in the Ming Dynasty”是固定搭配,意为“在明朝”。
75. 句意:通过将中国传统艺术技巧与新科学相结合,越来越多的人将真正享受到这种传统艺术之美。空格处修饰动词“enjoy”,需要用副词形式。“true”是形容词,其副词形式为“truly”,意为“真正地”。

Recently, a survey about students’ learning methods was made. The results are as follows. The students who choose to take notes when studying make up 61%, and only 20% ask for help. 13% like to make a study plan and 6% prefer other learning methods.
As far as I’m concerned, I find it necessary to take notes. When I was a primary school student, I was always asked to write down the key points. And because of this, I got into the habit of taking notes. For one thing, when the test came around, the notes helped me review and understand what I had learned.
So proper learning methods are really of great importance.
