On the way, they had an argument. And Lee hit Jim. Jim felt hurt. He said nothing but wrote in the sand, "Today, my best friend hit me."
They kept on walking and got to a small lake. They decided to take a bath. They jumped into the lake. But all of a sudden, Jim couldn’t move. Something caught him in the water. He had trouble breathing. He cried,“Help!” Luckily, Lee heard him in time and saved him. Jim wrote on a flat stone, “Today, my best friend saved my life.”
Lee asked him, “You wrote in the sand then and you write on a stone now. Why?”
"When someone does something hurtful, we should write it down in the sand. The wind can blow it away. When someone does something good for us, we should write it down on a stone. No wind can erase it."
