Section Ⅵ Writing 写作项目——Writing a persuasive letter 本单元的写作任务是写一封与环保相关的倡议信。倡议信是就某一事情或问题,向有关部门或群体发出倡议、提出建议时所使用的日常应用文体。倡议信的目的在于引起广泛的响应,因此应交代清楚倡议的原因,并申明发布倡议的目的,以便读者理解和信服。同时,为使读者响应号召、参与行动,倡议的内容一定要具体化; 需要开展怎样的活动,其价值和意义都有哪些,均需清晰明确地呈现出来。 由教材学写作 一、学文体架构 根据Activity 5中的倡议信,可总结出此类文体的框架结构如下: 二、学逻辑组材 1.本文第一段首句中作者使用“We are writing this letter to call on ...”这一句式,开门见山地发出倡议;文章最后一句 “Let's start doing ...” 呼吁读者参与到活动中来,与首段照应且体现了倡议信的文体特点。 2.本文内容安排详略得当,文章对倡议的背景、所倡议的活动做了简要介绍,详细描写了倡议的具体事项,且在叙述时采用了分条呈现的形式,并多用祈使句式,使得内容清晰明了、简洁凝练,同时富有号召性。 三、学衔接过渡 本文运用了不同的衔接手段:第一段第二句中的主语“It”指代第一句中的“the Clear Your Plate campaign”,通过代词指代实现了上下文的衔接顺畅;第一段第三句运用并列连词while将前后相对的内容衔接在一起;第二段中运用了句式结构衔接法,作者运用了三个祈使句,形成平行结构,将三条不同的倡议内容有序排列在一起。第三段从行文逻辑上来讲属于总结,首句点明了该倡议活动的意义,第二句发出呼吁,同时结束正文。全文结构紧凑,行文自然流畅。 四、学语言风格 倡议信措辞要求情感充沛,号召力强,行文时可用祈使句表达倡议举措,还可用should, ought to, may, can等表示建议的情态动词,本文中即用到了情态动词may, could, can 和多个祈使句。 五、学靓丽表达 第一段第二句中使用了动词urge“催促;极力主张”表达了强烈的情感,体现了倡议信的措辞特点。第三句中使用并列连词while,使前后文形成鲜明对比,“一方面是食物浪费,另一方面是有人在忍饥挨饿”,产生了极佳的表达效果。 写作项目指导 Write a persuasive letter to call on people to protect our environment ——写一封倡议信号召大家保护环境 第一步:构思谋篇 Part 1 What's the existing environmental problem? We should not leave the lights on in the daytime or leave water running after washing.
