【答案】1.A 2.C 3.D
根据划线词的下文“where you’ll feel seen, supported and inspired to step into the best version of yourself.(在哪里你会感到被关注、被支持、被激励,从而成为最好的自己)”可知,划线词应该是指一个被关注、被支持、被激励的地方,所以与“港湾、避风港”意思接近。故选A项。
根据第1小标题空格处的下文“You wake up feeling drained, battling tiredness and body aches, and riding the unpredictable waves of midlife.(你醒来时感觉筋疲力尽,与疲劳和身体疼痛作斗争,驾驭着中年不可预知的浪潮)”和“You’ve lost touch with the lively, confident woman you once were — your joy, passion, and sense of purpose feel out of reach(你已经和曾经那个活泼、自信的你失去了联系——你的快乐、激情和使命感感觉遥不可及)”可知,此部分描述的是一些熟悉的感觉,所以句①“这听起来是不是很熟悉?”能概括下文内容;再根据第2个小标题空格处的下文“A month membership designed exclusively for midlife women ready to reclaim their vitality, balance, and joy. This is your sacred sanctuary for transformation, where you'll fecl seen, supported and inspired to step into the best version of yoursclf.(一个月的会员专为中年妇女准备收回他们的活力,平衡和快乐。
Our magazine is bringing to you the hottest high streets for shopping in the world.
Zürich, Switzerland
The Bahnhofstrasse, Zürich’s resplendent, tree-lined exclusive shopping avenue, stretches a mile (1.4 kilometers).
You’ll find some of Switzerland’s top shopping along its length, from top clothing designers to high-end options for shoes, furs, accessories, china, and jewelry and, most famous of course, Swiss watches.
Rodeo Drive
Beverly Hills, California
Rodeo Drive manages to pack in enough audacious glitz to qualify as one of the world’s most glamorous and expensive shopping stretches. Just off Rodeo lies Two Rodeo, a strip of boutiques modeled after European boutiques, with cobblestones, fountains, and bistros. Perhaps its least known amenity is the free two-hour valet parking.
Laugavegur
Reykjavík, Iceland
Reykjavík’s main shopping street hosts numerous clothing boutiques and an assortment of shops offering accessories, leather goods, cosmetics, lingerie, books, music, and what is most Icelandish, the finest handmade knitwear and woolen goods. If you buy an outfit from one of the local fashion houses, rest assured it will be original.
The Ginza
Tokyo, Japan
The Ginza, comprising eight blocks, is Tokyo’s most exclusive shopping area. It boasts some of the most expensive real estate on Earth. Known luxury and exclusive retailers stand side by side with Tokyo’s landmark department stores, Mitsukoshi, Wako (whose clock is a landmark unto itself), and the 14-story Marion. The latter actually houses seven movie theaters and two department stores. Many store windows feature elaborate displays that showcase typical Japanese culture. It’s said that the window displays are more a vision than shopping itself in Ginza. At night colorful lights flood the Ginza with light, bringing the otherwise gray city to life, making the area the brightest pearl at night.
Fifth Avenue
New York City, New York
Large landmark department stores (Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Macy’s) and small high-end designer name boutiques (Ferragamo, Harry Winston, Versace, Emanual Ungaro, Gucci, Henri Bendel, Tiffany, Steuben, Christian Dior) make New York’s Fifth Avenue top paradise for luxury hunters. In December, the stores mount elaborate displays — doormen dressed as toy soldiers at FAO Schwarz, a 27-foot (8-meter) sparkling snowflake floating over the street outside Tiffany, winter wonderland scenes in Macy’s windows—that attract holiday shoppers and sightseers. Walking along the crowded sidewalks of Fifth Avenue at this time of year is a special treat.
1.What brings more enjoyment than the act of purchasing?
A.Receiving valet parking service in Rodeo Drive.
B.Enjoying icelandish, handmade knitwear and woolen goods in Laugavegur
C.Appreciating window displays in Ginza.
D.Viewing elaborate store displays of toy soldiers and snowflake.
2.Which of the following statements is TRUE according to the passage?
A.In the Bahnhofstrasse, you can obtain genuine Swiss watches at special shops.
B.Reykjavík guarantees the originality of any outfit customers buy.
C.Rodeo Drive is well-known for its natural scenes.
D.Fifth Avenue is famous for its assembly of designer brands.
3.A visitor looking for magnificent night views should go to ______.
A.The Bahnhofstrasse B.Rodeo Drive C.The Ginza D.Fifth Avenue
根据倒数第二段The Ginza下列“It’s said that the window displays are more a vision than shopping itself in Ginza.(据说银座的橱窗陈列比购物本身更有视觉效果)”可知,欣赏银座的橱窗展示比购买行为更能带来快乐。故选C。
根据最后一段Fifth Avenue下列“Large landmark department stores (Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Macy’s) and small high-end designer name boutiques (Ferragamo, Harry Winston, Versace, Emanual Ungaro, Gucci, Henri Bendel, Tiffany, Steuben, Christian Dior) make New York’s Fifth Avenue top paradise for luxury hunters.(大型地标百货公司和小型高端设计师精品店(Ferragamo, Harry Winston, Versace, Emanual Ungaro, Gucci, Henri Bendel, Tiffany, Steuben, Christian Dior)使纽约第五大道成为奢侈品爱好者的顶级天堂)”可知,D选项“第五大道以设计师品牌的集合而闻名”正确。故选D。
根据倒数第二段The Ginza下列“At night colorful lights flood the Ginza with light, bringing the otherwise gray city to life, making the area the brightest pearl at night.(夜晚,五彩缤纷的灯光照亮了银座,给原本灰暗的城市带来了生机,使银座成为夜晚最明亮的明珠)”可知,想要欣赏壮丽夜景的游客应该去银座。故选C。

Passage 4
Walking Hawai’i’s History
Footpaths and trails, first protected by Hawaiian royalty in 1892, have grown into a network of 500 miles across six islands.
Where To Hike Hawaiian Heritage TrailsAlaka’i Swamp Trail, Kaua’i
Sprawling over 4,345 acres in West Kaua’i, Köke’e State Park has roughly 45 miles of hiking trails. Most notable is the 7-mile (round-trip) Alaka’i Swamp Trail, which follows the edge of Kalalau Valley into a rare mountainous environment some 4,000 feet above sea level. Along the way are native plants and trees, home to peculiar birds including the ’elepaio (monarch flycatcher) and ’ani-aniau, a Hawaiian honeycreeper (蜜旋木雀) only found here. Hawai’i’s Queen Emma visited the swamp on horseback in 1870. The setting so entranced her that she had her hundred dancers and musicians who traveled with her perform here before continuing on.
Moanalua Valley, O’ahu
This hike can be as short or as long as you want, from an easy hour-long stroll along an old valley road to a grueling (稀薄的) 11-mile walk to the summit of the Ko’olau Mountains. The first part follows a stream and has interpretive markers. The road continues to a sacred rock covered with paintings.
Hoapili Trail, Maui
Part of this 12.5-mile trail follows an old footpath from Keone’o’io Bay. Along the way you pass a native wiliwili(Hawaiian coral tree) and the last lava flow from Haleakala volcano.
Hana-Wai’anapanapa Coast Trail, Maui
The 4.6-mile round-trip hike follows an ancient trail along the Hana coastline in eastern Maui and is composed of rough lava (熔岩). It’s not as popular as nearby Pipiwai Trail, but it takes in sea arches, tide pools, a blowhole, and a religious site — before ending at rocky Ka’inalimu Bay.
Pololu Trail, Hawai’i
This 1.2-mile out-and-back path takes hikers from the lookout down into the Pololu Valley, an elevation change of 878 feet over the course of the trail length. King Kamehameha Ӏ was born nearby in North Kohala.
1.If the tourist is interested in plants and bird watching, which trail is most suitable for him?
A.Hana-Wai’anapanapa Coast Trail, Maui.
B.Alakai Swamp Trail, Kaua’i.
C.Moanalua Valley, O’ahu.
D.Hoapili Trail, Maui.

A.Hoapili Trail.
B.Moanalua Valley.
C.Alaka’i Swamp Trail.
D.Hana-Wai’anapanapa Coast Trail.
3.Which of the following statement is TRUE?
A.Hawaii is made up of 5 trails.

Passage 5
Small adjustments to your daily routine can go a long way toward protecting your body’s control center and preventing cognitive decline down the road.
In fact, scientists believe that as many as 45 percent of dementia (痴呆) cases could be delayed or prevented with help from some simple, sometimes surprising, changes in behavior. 1. Wear a helmet.
Physically protecting your head is the single most important step you can take to safeguard your brain, experts said.
Recurrent head trauma from traumatic brain injuries and concussions (脑震荡) can lead to chronic traumatic encephalopathy (慢性创伤性脑病), which can worsen cognition overall, and in some cases cause dementia. Wearing a helmet during activities like biking and skiing can significantly reduce the risk of injury, Dr. Feldman said.
Motorcyclists should also always wear helmets, even if state laws don’t require them. 2. Join a book club.
Maintaining an active social life keeps the negative health effects of isolation — such as depression — at bay, said Dr. Jessica Choi, a neurologist at Cedars-Sinai.
Dr. Choi said that her patients who have a strong social support system are typically in better overall health than the ones who don’t. “Not having that can lead to depressive episodes,” which are tied to cognitive decline in older patients, she said.
Book clubs or gardening groups can do the trick, but “even a scheduled monthly dinner with a close friend or family members makes a big difference for patients,” Dr. Choi said. 3. Wear a mask on smoggy or smoky days.
There’s growing research linking air pollution exposure to cognitive decline. Scientists think very fine, inhalable (可吸入的) particles in the air could trigger chemical changes once they reach the brain, said Deborah Cory Slechta, a neuroscientist in the department of environmental medicine at University of Rochester Medical Center.
Not all harmful particles can be avoided — some are so small that they slip through air filters — but wearing an N95 or surgical mask and using indoor air filters on days when air quality is worse (including because of wildfire smoke) can minimize your exposure. 4. Sleep well.
Finding ways to improve your time spent sleeping, and the quality of that sleep, can go a long way toward helping you stay sharp and prevent dementia.
If you work night shifts and sleep during the day, consider blackout (遮光) curtain to help regulate your body’s biological clock. If anxiety and depression are keeping you up, try meditating before bed. If you aren’t sure where your sleep problems lie, keep a sleep diary to help identify potential issues.
“A rested mind is crucial for brain health, as sleep helps consolidate memories and clear out cellular debris from the brain,” Dr. Feldman said.
1.Which of the following statements is TRUE according to the passage?
A.Wearing a helmet only benefits motorcyclists.
B.Joining a gardening group won’t help reduce cognitive decline.
C.On smoggy days, wearing an ordinary mask can minimize exposure to harmful particles.
D.Using blackout curtains can be helpful for night-shift workers to regulate their body clock.
2.What is the main purpose of this passage?
A.To introduce the causes of dementia.
B.To tell people how to maintain an active social life.
C.To provide some simple ways to prevent cognitive decline.
D.To emphasize the importance of protecting the head.
3.This passage is most likely taken from__________.
A.a medical magazine B.a sports newspaper
C.a sci-fi novel D.a travel guide
【答案】1.D 2.C 3.A

根据倒数第二段“If you work night shifts and sleep during the day, consider blackout (遮光) curtain to help regulate your body’s biological clock.(如果你上夜班且白天睡觉,可以考虑使用遮光窗帘来帮助调节你的生物钟)”可知,使用遮光窗帘对夜班工作者调节生物钟是有帮助的。故选D。
根据第一段“Small adjustments to your daily routine can go a long way toward protecting your body’s control center and preventing cognitive decline down the road.(对日常生活进行一些小的调整,对于保护你身体的控制中心(大脑)以及预防日后的认知能力下降大有帮助)” 以及后文介绍的具体方法可知,文章主要目的是提供一些预防认知能力下降的简单方法。故选C。
根据第一段“Small adjustments to your daily routine can go a long way toward protecting your body’s control center and preventing cognitive decline down the road.(对日常生活进行一些小的调整,对于保护你身体的控制中心(大脑)以及预防日后的认知能力下降大有帮助)” 以及后文介绍的具体方法可知,短文围绕健康建议展开。 故选A。
Passage 6
I guess I was a little bored. For the past hour, I’d been on the phone with Daniele, the head of my office in Italy, reviewing our latest purchases of Italian gold, Murano glass and Italian-made shoes and handbags.
“Daniele,” I said, “What is the hottest jewelry in Italy right now?” His reply? Woven gold bracelets studded with gems. He texted me some photos and I knew immediately that this was jewelry that Raffinato just had to have.
RAFFINATO IS ONE OF AMERICA’S LARGEST RETAILERS OF ITALIAN-MADE JEWELRY
Presenting the Italiano Fantasia Bracelets, two designs that are prime examples of Italy’s finest artisanship. Each of these bracelets includes more than 20 brilliant cut gems of DiamondAura®, our Ultimate Diamond Alternative®, in a setting finished with 18 karat Italian gold.
What is DiamondAura®? It’s a sparkling marvel that rivals even the finest diamonds (D Flawless) with its transparent color and clarity: Both are so hard they can cut glass. Don’t believe me? The book “Jewelry and Gems: The Buying Guide,” praised the technique used in our diamond alternative :“The best diamond simulation to date, and even some jewelers have mistaken these stones for mined diamonds,” it raved.
The best part about these bracelets? The price. Because of our longstanding connections in Arezzo, the mecca of Italian goldsmithing, we can offer both bracelets together for just $99, a fraction of the price you’ll pay anywhere else for similar jewelry.
Order today. These bracelets are one of our hottest sellers this year, and with disruptions in the supply chain, we can only guarantee that we have 1,279 861 of these bracelets on hand for this ad.Jewelry Specifications:

Curfews set by parents (and kept or broken by their offspring) do not echo the origins of the word curfew in any noticeable way—if they did, they’d need to at least hint at the sound of a bell. When curfew was first used in the 14th century, it referred to the sounding of a bell at evening to alert people that they should cover their hearth (壁炉) fires for the night—a necessary warning, as many European houses in the Middle Ages were close enough to each other that fires could spread easily from one to the next. The word came to English from Anglo-French, in which the signal was called coverfeu, a compound of covrir, meaning “to cover,” and feu, “fire.” Even when hearth fires were no longer regulated, many towns had other rules that called for ringing an evening bell, including one that required people to be off the streets by a given time, a development that granted curfew permission to go out and about with a broader meaning.

根据Did you know?下的“When curfew was first used in the 14th century, it referred to the sounding of a bell at evening to alert people that they should cover their hearth (壁炉) fires for the night—a necessary warning, as many European houses in the Middle Ages were close enough to each other that fires could spread easily from one to the next. The word came to English from Anglo-French, in which the signal was called coverfeu, a compound of covrir, meaning “to cover,” and feu, “fire.”(当curfew在14世纪首次被使用时,它指的是在晚上敲响钟声,提醒人们晚上应该把壁炉里的火盖上——这是一个必要的警告,因为中世纪的许多欧洲房屋彼此距离很近,火灾很容易从一间房屋蔓延到另一间房屋。这个词是从盎格鲁-法语传入英语的,在英语中,这个信号被称为coverfeu,是covrir(意思是覆盖)和feu(意思是火)的合成词)”可知,“curfew”这个词是在英法中创造出来的,用来暗示晚上的钟声。故选A项。
根据Definition下的“Curfew refers to a law or order that requires people to be indoors after a certain time at night, as well as to the period of time when such an order or law is in effect. Chiefly in the United States.(“宵禁”指的是一项法律或命令,要求人们在夜间特定时间之后必须待在室内,同时也指该命令或法律生效的时间段。这主要在美国使用)”以及“Lana has a 10 o’clock curfew, so we need to bring her home right after the movie.(拉娜有10点宵禁,所以我们得在看完电影后马上送她回家)”可知,Curfew在美国主要指个人宵禁,所以B项“如果没有宵禁,你为什么要现在回家?”

根据广告中反复强调的应对自然灾害的内容“When the going gets tough, you need to be ready. Power cuts, floods, ice storms, hurricanes and wildfires, have become the usual. You should always be prepared.(当事情变得艰难时,你需要做好准备。停电、洪水、冰暴、飓风和野火已成为家常便饭。你应该时刻做好准备。)”和“This could be your lifesaver. Secured in a handy Desert Camo Carrying Kit, these tools are essential for tackling most any nature disaster.(这可能是你的救命稻草。在一个方便的沙漠迷彩携带包中,这些工具是应对大多数自然灾害所必需的。)”,并结合客户评价“[It] has everything I need for getting along in the wild.((它)有我在野外生活所需要的一切。)”
① “Highlighting the urgency of buying due to limited stock.(由于库存有限,突出了购买的紧迫性)”:原文明确提到“BACK IN STOCK for the first time after overwhelming demand, we had ONLY 733 KITS AVAILABLE, for this ad and half have already sold!(在巨大的需求之后,我们第一次回到库存中,我们只有733个套件可用,对于这个广告,一半已经售出!)”,该项符合。 ② “Featuring reviews from celebrities to build trust.(通过名人的评论来建立信任。)” ③ “Offering a money-back guarantee to ensure customer satisfaction.(提供退款保证,确保客户满意。)”:文中明确说明“If this kit doesn’t meet your expectations, send it back for a full refund.(如果这个工具包不符合你的期望,把它寄回去全额退款。)” ④ “Giving discounts to make the price more appealing.(打折使价格更有吸引力。)”:文中提到“$199 $39+S&P Save $17.50 “You must use Insider Offer Code DCC 154-01 to get this price.” ($199 $39+S&P Save $17.50;您必须使用内幕报价代码DCC 154-01才能获得此价格。)”,该项符合。 综上,正确策略为①③④。故选 B项。
3.词句猜测题。根据文章中的句子“Secured in a handy Desert Camo Carrying Kit, these tools are essential for tackling most any nature disaster.” B“The kit is ready to handle any disasters or emergencies(这个工具箱已准备好应付任何灾难或紧急情况)”准确反映其自信与实用性,其他选项曲解原意。故选 B项。
Passage 6
Fit to Be Tied: Four Common Knots
Are you one of those hikers who always prefers a square knot? Here are simple, easy-to-remember alternatives that will do a better job in four common camping settings.
①Bind cargo to your car
To secure a large bag to a car roof, you need a knot that acts like a pulley (滑轮). The trucker’s knot works best. Start by forming an overhand loop, pulling a loop through, and tightening. Next, feed the rope’s free end around a roof rack (架 子) or an S-hook on the frame. Pull on the working end to obtain the desired tension; then use a quick-release half-hitch, a type of knot, to “lock” the tension in place (and make untying cargo quick and simple).
②Attach tent guylines (拉绳)
Attached to webbing loops at key stress points on the outer walls of tents, guylines are tied to the ground with stones. They stabilize the tent in strong winds by keeping the fabric walls tight. When setting up your shelter, tighten the guylines until no loose part remains in them or the tent walls. Fit the ropes with a tight-line knot, which lets you adjust the line’s length without untying the knot. When you move the knot by hand, it slides freely along the line, but it holds tight when the loop is tensioned—so the knot holds firm when gusts of wind pull tent walls hard.
③Lower a pack over a rock shelf
Some packs feature a strong leather belt for easy rope-pulls—but most require a bowline knot, which doesn’t slip no matter the weight. It is very easy to untie after it’s been loaded. Slide the loop around the middle of the pack, tighten it, then lower away. A handy recall- aiding device: The rope’s long end is the “tree”; the loop is the “rabbit hole”;
④Fasten a canoe to shore
The clove hitch is perfect for quickly fastening boats because it’s easy to tie, holds fast under tension, and releases instantly with a pull on the free end. This makes it a speedy way to fix a line to a tree. For extra security, add one or two half-hitches.
1.Which of the following may best match the types of knots in the numbered text description (1-4)?
(a)
(b)
(c)
(d)
A.(a)(d)(b)(c) B.(a)(c)(b)(d) C.(c)(d)(a)(b) D.(c)(b)(d)(a)
2.What is the best knot to use when a worker carries goods with a rope repeatedly between Ind floor and 2nd floor?
A.Tight-line knot B.Truckers knot C.Clove hitch D.Bowline knot
3.Where are you most likely to read this article?
A.A website on backpackers. B.A leaflet on safety guidance.
C.A scientific journal on knots. D.A travel guide on beauty spots.
根据“①Bind cargo to your car”部分的句子“To secure a large bag to a car roof, you need a knot that acts like a pulley(滑轮). The trucker’s knot works best. Start by forming an overhand loop, pulling a loop through, and tightening. Next, feed the rope’s free end around a roof rack(架 子) or an S-hook on the frame.(为了将一个大袋子固定在车顶上,你需要一个像滑轮一样的结。卡车司机打结效果最好。首先形成一个上手环,拉一个环,然后收紧。接下来,将绳子的自由端缠在车顶架或车架的S钩上。)”可知,第一种绳结和图c是对应的。根据“②Attach tent guylines(拉绳)”部分的句子“Attached to webbing loops at key stress points on the outer walls of tents, guylines are tied to the ground with stones.(在帐篷外墙上的关键受力点处系上织带,用石头将绳系在地面上。)”和“Fit the ropes with a tight-line knot, which lets you adjust the line’s length without untying the knot. When you move the knot by hand, it slides freely along the line, but it holds tight when the loop is tensioned—so the knot holds firm when gusts of wind pull tent walls hard.(在绳子上打一个紧绳结,这样你就可以在不解开绳结的情况下调整绳子的长度。当你用手移动绳结时,绳结会沿着绳子自由地滑动,但当绳结被拉紧时,绳结会紧紧地固定住——所以当阵风把帐篷的墙壁拉得很硬时,绳结也会牢牢地固定住。)”可知,第二种绳结和图d是对应的。根据“③Lower a pack over a rock shelf”部分的句子“Some packs feature a strong leather belt for easy rope-pulls—but most require a bowline knot, which doesn’t slip no matter the weight. It is very easy to untie after it’s been loaded. Slide the loop around the middle of the pack, tighten it, then lower away. A handy recall- aiding device: The rope’s long end is the “tree”; the loop is the “rabbit hole”( 有些背包的特点是有结实的皮带,便于拉绳,但大多数背包需要打一个蝴蝶结,这样无论重量多大都不会打滑。装好后很容易解开。将环绕在背包的中间,拧紧,然后放低。一个方便的循环辅助装置:绳子的长端是“树”;这个环就是“兔子洞”。)”可知,第三种绳结和图a对应。根据“④Fasten a canoe to shore”部分的句子“The clove hitch is perfect for quickly fastening boats because it’s easy to tie, holds fast under tension, and releases instantly with a pull on the free end. This makes it a speedy way to fix a line to a tree. For extra security, add one or two half-hitches.(丁香结非常适合快速系紧船只,因为它很容易系,在紧张的情况下保持牢固,并且在自由端拉动时立即释放。这使得它成为一种快速的方法来固定一条线到树上。为了额外的安全,增加一个或两个半结。)”可知,第四种绳结和图b对应。故选C项。
2.推理判断题。根据“③Lower a pack over a rock shelf”部分的句子“It is very easy to untie after it’s been loaded. Slide the loop around the middle of the pack, tighten it, then lower away. A handy recall- aiding device: The rope’s long end is the “tree”; the loop is the “rabbit hole”(装好后很容易解开。将环绕在背包的中间,拧紧,然后放低。一个方便的循环辅助装置:绳子的长端是“树”;这个循环就是“兔子洞”。)”可知,第三种绳结Bowline knot适合工人用绳子在1楼和2楼之间反复搬运货物时使用。故选D项。
3.推理判断题。本文介绍的是四种绳结的打法和它们的用途,所以,这篇文章最可能出现在关于绳结的科学杂志上。故选C项。

Passage2
(24-25高二下·上海宜川中学·期中)

2.Which trail is described as less popular but offers views of natural arches, tide pools, and a blowhole?
A.Hoapili Trail.
B.Moanalua Valley.
C.Alaka’i Swamp Trail.
D.Hana-Wai’anapanapa Coast Trail.
3.Which of the following statement is TRUE?
A.Hawaii is made up of 5 trails.
B.Hoapili Trail is the longest one among the 5 trails.
C.Hawai’i’s Queen Emma visited Moanalua Valley in 1870.
D.Visitors can overlook the Moanalua Valley on the Pololu Trail.

WORD OF THE DAY

curfew
noun | KER-fyooDefinition
Curfew refers to a law or order that requires people to be indoors after a certain time at night, as well as to the period of time when such an order or law is in effect. Chiefly in the United States.
//No one is allowed on the streets during the curfew.

Examples
“[LEW] Alcindor narrowed his college choice to Michigan, Columbia, St. John’s, and UCLA.He liked Columbia as the chance to attend school walking distance to Harlem and a subway ride to the jazz clubs he had to leave early as a high schooler to make curfew.” — Scott Howard-Cooper, Kingdom on Fire: Kareem, Wooden, Walton, and the Turbulent Days of the UCLA Basketball Dynasty, 2024
Did you know?

A technology day camp for students 12-17 AboutAbout Tech-Camp
Tech-Camp is a day camp with a focus on computers and electronics technology. We offer 2-week summer programmes for students of 12to 17 years of age. We have a computer lab with the latest and fastest equipment, an electronics lab, and a video production studio. Our staff are special, too. Our programme leaders are experts in computers and electronics, of course, but they are also people who care about children and enjoy working with them.
The benefits of Tech-Camp
In all of our programmes, we show students how to work in teams and how to solve problems by themselves. We encourage them to think creatively.
What students will do at Tech-Camp
Each day Tech-camp is filled with useful, interesting and challenging activities. For example, in the Computer Programme, students learn the basic computer programming, and how to use the Internet. In the High-tech Programme, they make radio-controlled model cars and produce their own short videos.

Some packs feature a strong leather belt for easy rope-pulls—but most require a bowline knot, which doesn’t slip no matter the weight. It is very easy to untie after it’s been loaded. Slide the loop around the middle of the pack, tighten it, then lower away. A handy recall- aiding device: The rope’s long end is the “tree”; the loop is the “rabbit hole”;
