From an early age, he dreamed of visiting China’s mountains and rivers. At 22, he set out on his journey and travelled for about 30 years. During his trips, he made many geographical discoveries. For example, he found that Lianhua Peak in Mount Huangshan is higher than Tiandu Peak. He wrote down all his experiences in a book called Xu Xiake’s Travel Notes.
