+ -ion→n.)、高级词块(如break out、at the risk of)及核心句式(如as if虚拟语气)的脉络,搭建从基础输入到综合应用的学习支架。

Fortunately, no one was hurt. ②They responded that there were several reasons why the music band broke_up. ③The computer system broke_down suddenly while he was searching for information on the Internet. It was as if our kindly countryside, close to the very heart of England, had been turned into a cruel grassland. “两层级”学通用活句式 (1)通过“句法训练”弄明句式结构 (单句语法填空/完成句子) ①He stopped driving and went out of his car as if to_find (find) several passers-by and to ask the way. ②From time to time, Jason turned around as if searching (search) for someone. ③Hearing the shocking news, I felt as if my_heart_had_stopped. Tom explained everything calmly, as_if/though_nothing_had_happened. She spoke mechanically, as_if/though_(she_was)_thinking_of_something_else. Our team has scored another goal. It looks as_if_we_are_going_to_win_the_game. Last night's fall of snow here was an event. I was nearly as excited about it this morning as the children. They were looking through the window at the magic outside and talking away ①excitedly (excite). The fact is, however, that the snow was as strange and fascinating to me as it was to them. The first fall of snow is ②a magical event. You go to bed in one kind of world and wake up ③to_find (find) yourself in another quite different. The very secrecy and ④quietness (quiet) of the thing makes it more magical. When I got ⑤up this morning the world was a cold place of dead white and pale blues. Then the sun came out, ⑥shining (shine) bravely and flushing the snow with delicate pinks. An hour or two later everything ⑦was (be) a cold sparkle of white and blue. There was indeed something curiously disturbing about the whole prospect. Now it has changed again. The glare has gone and no touch of the disturbing ⑧remains (remain). But the snow is falling heavily. Seeing the children ⑨flattening (flatten) their noses against the window, I recalled a rhyme I used to repeat ⑩when I was a child.
