第三节　读后续写 读后续写是提供一篇350词以内的语言材料，要求学生依据该材料内容、所给段落开头语和所标示关键词进行续写(150词左右)，将其发展成一篇与给定材料有逻辑衔接、情节和结构完整的短文。原文多是情节丰富的记叙文，偶有少量的议论文。 读后续写要求学生阅读完一篇还未写完的文章之后，根据要求和提示把这篇文章未写完的部分补充完整，使之浑然一体。所给出的文章多以记叙文故事类文章或者夹叙夹议类文章为主，故事情节有曲折、有起伏，但是故事线索的逻辑性比较强。读后续写要求学生不仅要能读懂文章，而且能用英语清晰地表述出来，这个题型是把阅读理解和写作相融合，将语言输入与输出紧密结合，将语言的模仿与创造性使用有机结合，将语言的学习与运用切实结合，旨在考查学生的综合语言运用能力。答题时，考生要把握短文核心内容，厘清写作思路，使续写内容与原文之间逻辑衔接、情节和结构完整。 由于续写作文题的原文一般是情节丰富的记叙文，文中常会涉及各种描写手法的运用，而续写的风格又要求与原文保持一致，所以这些描写手法的运用是读后续写的基本功，要求学生能熟练掌握。常用的描写手法有下面一些。 一、人物描写 1. 外貌描写 (1)头 ① 他羞愧地低下了头。 He lowered/bent his head in shame. ② 他们点头同意。 They nodded their heads in agreement. ③ 她怀疑地摇摇头。 She shook her head in disbelief. ④ 他挠了挠头，一个字也听不懂。 He scratched his head，not understanding a word. ⑤ 他耷拉着脑袋，眼泪滴落在大腿上。 His head drooped and tears fell into his lap.
