Look and talk Amy and Simon are talking about international charities. Listen to their conversation and answer the following questions. 1. What charity are Amy and Simon talking about? Operation Smile. 2. When was it founded? In 1982. 3. What does it do? It provides free operations and medical care for children born with lip problems.  Practice 03 Amy: Do you know any important charities? Simon: Yes. For example, I’ve heard of Operation Smile. It was founded in 1982. There are about 6,000 medical volunteers in this organization. Amy: So what do they do? Simon: Millons of children were born with lip problems. It’s difficult for them to breathe, eat and speak. Operation Smile provides them with free operations and medical care. Amy: That’s great! Simon: It is.
