教学设计 课程基本信息 学科 英语 年级 八年级 学期 春季 课题 Unit 4 A good read (Welcome to the unit) 教科书 书 名:《义务教育教科书·英语》八年级下册 出版社:译林出版社 出版日期:2025年12月 教学目标 通过本课时的学习,学生能够: 1.借助图文和音频,初步了解不同类型书籍的特征和作用,辨别虚构类和非虚构类书籍; 2.获取和梳理两名同学喜欢读的书籍的名称、类型及内容等信息,提取和归纳询问、描述、评价读物的词汇和语言表达; 3.运用相关词汇和语言表达,与同伴交流自己喜欢阅读的类型书籍并表达情感,初步感知好读物的精彩与美妙。 教学内容 教学重点: 1.理解并掌握虚构类与非虚构类书籍的核心区别; 2.听懂并理解关于阅读喜好的对话,获取关键信息; 3.运用目标语言(如“Are you reading anything good at the moment?” “I’m really interested in ...” “I like reading ...” “Is it worth reading?”等)进行简单交流。 教学难点: 1.准确运用英文表达描述个人阅读偏好并说明理由; 2.在对话交流中自然、流畅地运用所学句型进行互动。 教学过程 1. Free talk Show the picture on page 48 and have students answer the following questions. (1) Where do you think the people are? (2) How do you feel when seeing this picture? 2. Lead-in Have students read the unit overview on page 48 and answer the following question. What will we do in this unit? 3. Discussion Have students recommend a book they like to their partner and briefly introduce it. 4. Listening -Before listening Have students look at the front covers of four books in Part A on page 49 and answer the following question. How much do you know about these books? -Listening: Part A (1) Have students listen to the introduction and finish Part A on page 49. Fiction Non-fiction The story is not (1) ________. It tells real stories, records events or gives (5) ________. The (2) ________ and (3) _______are made up. If you like history, (6) ________ , science or (7) ________, it is perfect for you. People read it for (4) ________. People read it to (8) ________ about different things. (2) Introduce the differences between fiction and non-fiction and have students match the kinds with the four books. Part B Have students listen to Millie and Daniel’s conversation in Part B on page 49 and answer the following questions. (1) What are they talking about? (2) What is Daniel reading at the moment? Why? (3) What type of book does Millie like reading? (4) What is she reading now? What is the book about? 5. Role-playing Have students read the conversation along with the recording and then read aloud in different roles. 6. Extension Have students work in pairs and talk about the type of book they like using the conversation in Part B as a model. 7. Discussion Have students finish Part C on page 49. Which kind of book do you like to read, fiction or non-fiction? Why? 8. Homework Compulsory homework: Share your favourite book with your friends and family.
