(A)
根据Sunsama部分中的“It helps you plan your day by combining tasks from various apps into a single daily schedule.”
Evernote部分提到它可以“record everything from quick thoughts to detailed project plans(记录一切……
根据Todoist部分中的“making it easy to turn to-do lists into completed tasks(让待办清单轻松变成已完成的任务)”可知,Todoist能够帮助用户清晰追踪任务的整个进程,从计划阶段一直到任务完成,题干中的“keep track of their tasks from start to finish”正是对这一核心功能的概括。 故选A。
(B)
定:"as a child" 与原文中的 "When I was a little boy" 是同义替换。由此定位到第一段中的 "When I was a little boy... It was my grandma making our dinner... Then we would eat with smiles, laughter and joy"。
定:"childhood" 与原文中的 "a little boy" 是同义替换。由此定位到第一段中的 "Then we would eat with smiles, laughter and joy. I always felt so peaceful and safe there. We always left dinner feeling full up and very happy"。
圈:圈出题干中的关键词 "fail to learn"(与原文中的 "never quite right" 是同义替换)。由此定位到第二段中的 "I got the sauce recipe from Dad and often I would get very close to making a dinner like Grandma's but it was never quite right... it was also the feeling of love that was there"。
根据第二段中 "No matter what I am cooking or what I am doing, I always try to season it with love(不管我在做什么饭,或者我在做什么事,我总是试着用爱来调味)" 和最后一段 "Each day here can be a feast of love if we make it. Each day here can be a feast of joy when we share it(如果我们能做到的话,这里的每一天都会是爱的盛宴。
6,700 languages(全球语言总数)
40 percent of which are in danger(40% 濒临消失)这种方式属于listing numbers(列数字)。
When an Indigenous language is lost, not only… but also the world’s cultural and biological diversity is endangered.→ 本土语言消失会危及文化和生物多样性,因此保护它们是为了维护这两种多样性。
30. A
The United Nations has declared 2019 as The International Year of Indigenous Languages so as to raise awareness, and to teach those who haven’t been aware…→ 目的是提高意识、教育公众,保护本土语言。
圈:圈出题干中的关键词 the findings of the study。
Research by Anglia Ruskin University has found that ... with large wildlife populations。
We need to carry out further research... the fireworks, or both
A项“Dogs appear to remember us all the time.(狗似乎一直记得我们)”承接前文,解释了狗热情迎接的原因,同时与后文的“想念”形成递进关系,符合逻辑。故选A。
F项“A dog’s loyalty exists after their owner’s passing, either.(狗的忠诚在主人去世后也存在)”中的“either”表示“也”,与上文形成并列,引出主人去世后狗依然忠诚的例子,衔接自然。故选F。
E项“Some dogs show their loyalty at the cost of their safety.(有些狗以牺牲安全为代价表现忠诚)”准确概括了该故事的核心,即狗不顾自身安危保护主人,作为本段的主旨恰当。故选E。
(The truth is that all dogs are devoted to their chosen leader)”,与后文“all dogs are capable of being loyal”形成呼应。故选G。
D项“You can be certain what you notice is the real deal.”(你可以确定你注意到的是真实的)作为全文结尾,强调狗的忠诚是真挚的,与开篇呼应,升华主题。
根据下文“When she insisted on not eating”和“Why was she being difficult?” try(尝试)、learn(学习)和prepare(准备)均不符合。故选D。
patience(耐心)、excitement(兴奋)和regret(后悔)均不符合“一直喜欢却突然拒绝”的反差语境。故选A。
结合后文“Why was she being difficult?”(她为什么故意捣乱?) tired(累的)、shocked(震惊的)和bored(无聊的)程度或情感色彩不符。故选B。
hug(拥抱)、guide(引导)和guard(保护)都是母亲的职责,但在此刻的具体场景中,“喂”是最直接的。故选C。
cheat(欺骗)、tolerate(忍受)和observe(观察)均不符合抗拒进食的动作逻辑。故选B。
C项“struggle with”(与…… stand by(旁观)、search for(寻找)和attend to(照料)均无法体现“强迫喂食”的尴尬感。故选C。
hide(藏起)、break(打破)、wash(洗)均不符合“放弃喂食”的动作逻辑。故选A。
angrily(生气地)、guiltily(愧疚地)和sadly(悲伤地)均不符合。故选D。
结合下文“She is trustworthy. Trusting her allows me to ...” help(帮助)、love(爱)和protect(保护)虽然都是父母常说的话,但在此语境下,“信任”是更具针对性的关键词。故选B。
survive(幸存)、succeed(成功)和smile(微笑)均无法体现“理解与关系的建立”。故选C。
memory(记忆)、witness(见证)和comfort(安慰)均不符合“独立性”的语境。故选A。
role(角色)、skill(技能)和image(形象)都过于宽泛,不如“desires”具体指向她的行为动机。故选A。
D项“unwillingness”(不情愿,不愿意)准确地概括了她当时“______ to eat”和“turned her head to ____ me”的态度。uncertainty(不确定)、unavailability(不可得)和unfairness(不公平)均不正确。故选D。
judgment(判断)、suggestion(建议)、responsibility(责任)均不如schedule贴合“按自己节奏生活”的语境。
1. as
2. names
3. an
4. was addressed
5. written
6. to complete
It takes sb. some time to do sth.
7. Interestingly
8. older
9. that / which(或可省略)
10. expressing

He was in no mood for singing and found it difficult to focus on his work. He was too worried about the safety of his gold. While working, he couldn’t help running in and out again and again to see if his gold was all right. And he kept moving the bag from one place to another to keep it safe. What’s worse, he lay awake all night because he was always trying to count the gold. Worst of all, the children no longer came to see him.
At last the shoemaker felt so unhappy that he took his bag of gold and ran next door to the rich man. He handed the bag of gold to the rich man the moment he opened the door. "Please take back your gold," he said. "The worry of it is making me anxious all day and night. I would rather be a poor shoemaker as I was before." Before the rich man could say a word, the shoemaker had left. From then on, the shoemaker was happy again and sang all day long at his work. It is inner peace and satisfaction rather than wealth that really counts.
Text 1

Text 2
M: Do you like boxing?

Text 3
W: Do you like your new house?
M: It’s nice to have enough space for all my things, so I’m glad that I moved. But I miss my friends and neighbors. I especially miss living so close to the school.
Text 4
M: Hello, I lost my credit card last night. Can I get a new one?
W: Sure! I’ll first cancel the lost card, and you should receive a new one in three days. Are you at the same address?
M: Yes, thank you.

Text 6
W: Hi, David. What are you doing?
M: I’m reading a report about a man called Tree Hero.
W: Who is he?
M: He is an 83-year-old man who has been planting trees for almost 20 years.
W: I see. Do you know a magazine called Green China?
M: I have heard about the magazine, but I know little about it.
W: Maybe there are some in the school library. Why not borrow one?
M: That sounds good. Let’s go.
Text 7

M: No, I am bored with learning grammar and words.
W: The show is different from what you thought. It introduces some popular English idioms. For example, you want to invite a girl to dinner, but she says, “Could I have a rain check?” Do you know what she means?
M: Umm … maybe she wants to check the weather.
W: Of course not. In fact, it means that she can’t accept the invitation, but she would like to do it another time.

W: Come on. Let’s watch it together. I am sure you will like it.
M: Fine.

M: I’d like to take the earlier one.
W: OK. But there are only first-class seats and business seats left. We don’t have second-class seats now.
M: Never mind. I can change to a first-class seat.
W: A first-class seat costs $110. You need to pay $25 more. Is that OK?
M: OK, but I have no cash on me. May I pay by check or credit card?
W: Sorry, we don’t accept checks.
M: OK.
Text 9
M: Jane, you’ve been in Guangzhou for a month. How is everything going?
W: It’s great, Dad. My friends are very kind to me. We have just returned from a fantastic trip to Hong Kong. And I celebrated an important festival with my friend yesterday.
M: Sounds exciting! How did you celebrate it?
W: I went to my Chinese friend’s home. I tasted moon cakes and enjoyed the full moon with her family. She also told me some customs about the Spring Festival and the Dragon Boat Festival.
M: I’m happy to hear that you enjoyed yourself. Are moon cakes delicious?
W: Yes, they’re flavored with different tastes. I wish you and Mum were here and could try them.
M: Haha … Maybe you can send us some to Toronto, dear.
W: That’s a great idea!
Text 10
M: First, I’d like to thank everyone for coming tonight. It is so nice to have everyone here to celebrate this special day with me. I’d also like to thank my good friend David Arnold for organizing this wonderful party. My 20 years working at the university has been the happiest time in my life. I’ve been so lucky to have worked with so many good people. I am very happy that Anne Sharp will be taking over my position. She is a very experienced professor, and I am encouraged to see she has such a passion for this important job. I’d also like to congratulate her for getting married. Anne, I wish you a long and happy life, and I hope you enjoy your honeymoon in France. Finally, I’d like to thank Craig Anderson. It was he who had convinced me to work here, otherwise I would have become a lawyer. So what will I do with myself now? As you know, I’m interested in language learning. I already speak Spanish, so my next plan is to learn Chinese. My wife and I will go to China this summer. Once again, thank you, everyone. I will truly miss you all.

When I was a little boy,I would always change out of my good clothes after school and run
outside to play for a few hours. When I came back inside, the house would smell pleasant. It was
my grandma making our dinner. It wouldn't be proper to just call it a feast ()There would be
freshly made Italian bread with butter. There would be noodles covered in red sauce slowly
cooked for hours.Slow cooked with the sauce too would sometimes be meatballs, sometimes
potatoes, sometimes chicken, sometimes beef or deer meat and most often a mix of them.I
remember we would all gather around the old, metal dining table. Then we would eat with smiles,
laughter and joy.I always felt so peaceful and safe there. We always left dinner feeling full up and
very happy.
As I got older and became an adult myself,I tried to make something like Grandma's dinners.
I got the sauce recipe from Dad and often I would get very close to making a dinner like Grandma'
s but it was never quite right. There finally came a point when I realized what I was doing wrong.
I was trying to rediscover a taste, when what I really wanted to do was bring back a feeling. It
wasn't just the delicious food that made those dinners so wonderful;it was also the feeling of love
that was there.Grandma always put her love into her cooking and always put her love into her life.
Since then I have tried my best to do the same.No matter what I am cooking or what I am doing,I
always try to season it with love.
Each day here can be a feast of love if we make it.Each day here can be a feast of joy when
we share it.

Languages around the world continue to disappear at an alarming rate.According to the
UNESCO Atlas of Languages in Danger, there are 6,700 languages spoken in the world,40
percent of which are in danger of disappearing. And the majority under threat are languages
spoken by Indigenous(本土的)peoples around the world
When an Indigenous language is lost, not only do we lose the knowledge built up by the
community of its speakers, but also the world's cultural and biological(生物学的)diversity is
endangered. For example, where there are most species of plants and animals, there are most
languages spoken. When a new species is"discovered"by scientists, you can bet your bottom
dollar that the native people living in that area would already have had a name for that species and
be highly knowledgeable about it.These languages are biological encyclopedias(百科全书),
and if they are no longer spoken, this wisdom and understanding is lost to humanity forever."We
human beings should care about indigenous languages in the same way as we should care about
the loss of the world's variety of plants and animals, its biodiversity,"Steven Pinker,a
respected linguist and Harvard Professor,said.
Fortunately, efforts are being made to bring attention to and preserve these languages, along
with the cultural and biological diversity (they represent. And education is at the heart of
the idea. The United Nations has declared 2019 as The International Year of Indigenous
Languages so as to raise awareness, and to teach those who haven't been aware of the
contributions they can make.Similarly,UNESCO's International Fund for Cultural Diversity is
providing money to educational projects in the hope of bringing Indigenous language and
knowledge into school.

A.To educate people to protect indigenous languages.
B.To promote people's awareness of the United Nations
C.To bring indigenous language and knowledge into school.
D.To celebrate the success of indigenous language protection.
31.Which of the following can be the best title for the text

Though fireworks()on Bonfire Night bring joy to many people,it is likely to be a night
of fright and pain for the UK's geese.
Research by Anglia Ruskin University has found that fireworks displays (cause wild
birds to suffer significant pain, and researchers have recommended that displays should not take
place in areas with large wildlife populations.A study, published in the journal Conservation
Physiology,is one of the first carried out into the effects of fireworks on wildlife. It found that the
heart rate of geese increases by 96%when they are influenced by fireworks displays.
The study involved 20 wild greylag geese fitted with recorders to record their heart rate and
body temperature, which are measures of physiological stress.Claudia Wascher, who led
the research, found that the average heart rate increased from 63 to 124 beats per minute, and their
average body temperature increased from 38 C to 39C,in the first hour of fireworks displays.
It took the geese about five hours before the birds displayed normal body temperatures, with
average readings retuming by 5 am.
"Ours is one of the first scientific studies to examine whether fireworks disturb wildlife.
There have been previous studies showing that fireworks can cause anxiety in pets, for example in
dogs, but little research has been done into how animals in the wild behave. We need to carry out
further research to conclusively tell whether the geese are reacting to the noise or the light
pollution from the fireworks,or both. Many people get a lot of enjoyment from fireworks but it's
important that we consider animals both pets and wildlife-whenever planning a display,"
Wascher said.
32.What advice do researchers give according to the findings of the study?
A.Geese should be protected especially at night.
B.Great attention should be paid to the UK's geese.
C.Fireworks displays should be held without harming wildlife
6
D.Fireworks displays should take place to bring joy to people.
33.Why were 20 wild greylag geese fitted with recorders?
A.To compare the heart rates between them.
B.To make them safe and sound in the wild.
C.To keep their body temperature normal.
D.To measure their physiological stress.
34.What may Wascher's further research be about?
A.The influence of a display on pets and wildlife.
B.The results of fireworks on other wild animals.
C.The effects of noise and light pollution from fireworks on geese.
D.The relations between light pollution from fireworks and geese.
35.Where is this text probably taken from?
A.A biology textbook.
B.A research report.
C.A health magazine
D.A travel handbook

57 (name)in English literature.
Every Christmas,58 envelope with a North Pole stamp arrived, which 59(address)to
Tolkien's children.Inside,they would find a letter 60(write)by their father.The letters were

The letters showed various magic stories about the adventures of Father Christmas,Polar
Bear and other characters at the North Pole.62 (interesting),the letters did not contain the
usual warnings to children that they might not receive their presents if they were not good. But the
letters did change as Tolkien's children got 63 (old). For example,he reminded them that when
they had not received as many as the presents 64they asked for, they should remember that there

By 65 (express)love for his children in such a special way,Tolkien may indeed have been

Once upon a time, there lived a poor but cheerful shoemaker. He was so happy that he sang all
day long. The children loved to stand around his window to listen to him.
Next door to the shoemaker lived a rich man.He used to sit up all night to count his gold.In
the morning,he went to bed,but he could not sleep because of the sound of the shoemaker's
singing. One day,he thought of a way to stop the singing. He wrote a letter to the shoemaker,
inviting him over for a cup of tea.
The shoemaker came at once, and to his great surprise, the rich man gave him a bag of gold as
a gift. The shoemaker took the bag and thanked the rich man. When he returned home, the
shoemaker couldn't wait to open the bag.He had never seen so much gold in his life!He sat down
at his bench and began, carefully,to count it.The children watched through the window.
There was so much there that the shoemaker was afraid to let it out of his sight. So he took it
to bed with him.But he could not sleep for worrying about it.So he got out of bed and went to
hide it in the attic(阁楼),but he was not sure if that was a good place.
Very early in the morning,he got up and brought his gold down from the attic. He had
decided to hide it up in the chimney()instead.But after breakfast,he thought it would be safer
