Greet the students and have a free talk about their favourite stories. 2. Show the opening page of Unit 8 and ask students to observe the picture. - What are the students in the photo doing? - How do you think they feel about it? - What do you think the teacher is helping them with? 3. Introduce the big question: “Why do we tell stories?” and encourage students to share their initial thoughts. 二、自主学习 Step 2: Presentation (10 minutes) 1. Present the learning objectives of this unit on the PPT. - Tell stories and talk about what you can learn from them. - Use the simple past tense and the simple present tense to tell a story. - Make up an ending for a story. - Explore stories from different cultures. 2. Show the pictures in Section A 1a and ask students: - Do you know what stories they are about? - Which story do you like best? Why? 3.
