写作项目——Writing about a war hero
本单元的写作任务是写一篇关于战斗英雄的人物介绍,属于写人记叙文。写作时应围绕人物组织材料,选材要突出重点,将人物的主要成就和重要事件作为描写的重心。叙述方法一般采用时间顺序,文章最后应有结论性的评价。

二、学写作手法
人物介绍类记叙文在介绍人物的主要事迹时一般会有明显的时间线索,通过这些时间线索,可梳理出人物的故事脉络,进而更加有层次地描写人物,突出人物形象。如本文以时间为序(in 1927, in 1937, in 1938, in early 1940, for five days, on 23 February),介绍了民族英雄杨靖宇的生平及主要贡献。逻辑清晰,衔接自然。
三、学亮点表达
1.亮点词汇
(1)第一段分别使用动词短语was born in, joined the ..., became leader of ..., fought a guerrilla war against,寥寥数语就将杨靖宇的生平交代得一清二楚。

It was amazing. Just the existence of the board, hanging on our kitchen wall, had an immediate calming effect on the atmosphere in our home. But it only took about ten days before peace was destroyed by another battle. So we called them both into the kitchen.
