It challenges participants, both individually and in teams, to solve linguistic (语言学的) puzzles. To compete at the IOL, no special knowledge is required, only basic language concepts, logic, patience, and creative thinking. Try this beginner sample to see if the IOL is right for you. Contest Rules Each individual contestant or team must choose a working language for their problems and solutions, a choice that cannot be changed less than two weeks before the Olympiad begins. The individual contest involves solving five problems in six hours, whereas the team contest features one problem with two hours less. Unless instructed, giving multiple answers will receive zero marks. Besides, a detailed explanation is required for each answer; failure to provide one will result in a lower score. Awards The team contest will award up to one gold, two silver, and three bronze medals. In the individual contest, the number of gold, silver, and bronze medals awarded shall be in the ratio 1:2:3, with the total number of medals being between one quarter and one third of the contestants. Click here to find out other awards. 1. Which is essential to solve the sample puzzle? A. Linguistic fluency. B. Reasoning ability. C. Geographic knowledge. D. Mathematical calculation. 2. What is different about the rules for the individual and team contest? A. The duration of the competition. B. The result of giving multiple answers. C. The deadline for language choice. D. The requirement for answer explanations. 3. If there are 240 individual contestants, how many medals could be awarded in total? A. 40. B. 54. C. 72. D. 84. B 2. A 3. 根据第一段中“To compete at the IOL, no special knowledge is required, only basic language concepts, logic, patience, and creative thinking. Try this beginner sample to see if the IOL is right for you.(参加国际语言学奥林匹克竞赛无需特殊知识储备,只需掌握基础语言概念、逻辑思维、耐心与创造性思维。不妨通过这道入门样题,测试自己是否适合这项挑战)”和下面的两道样题可知,解答下面的样题需要逻辑推理能力。故选B项。 【2题详解】 细节理解题。根据“Contest Rules”部分中“The individual contest involves solving five problems in six hours, whereas the team contest features one problem with two hours less. (个人赛需在六小时内解答五道题,而团队赛则是一道题,时间少两小时)”可知,个人赛和团队赛在比赛时长上存在差异。故选A项。 根据“Awards”部分中“In the individual contest, the number of gold, silver, and bronze medals awarded shall be in the ratio 1:2:3, with the total number of medals being between one quarter and one third of the contestants. (在个人赛中,金、银、铜牌的数量比例为1:2:3,奖牌总数在参赛人数的四分之一到三分之一之间)”可知,当个人赛参赛者为240人时,奖牌总数应在240×1/4=60到240×1/3=80之间,且金银铜牌比例为1:2:3,即奖牌总数应为1+2+3=6的倍数。选项中符合在60到80之间且为6的倍数的只有72。故选C项。 B Director Ken Burns is a great explainer, whose documentaries usually explore the story of America from fresh angles, so that we can appreciate it on a deeper level. Now, he is telling the story again through the soundtrack of country music in his new documentary Country Music. You may think it would be a relatively easy project: Beyond the common wisdom that Hank Williams was country music’s first great songwriter, there’s a lot the average citizen doesn’t know about the other performers. So it would be good enough to include as many clips (片段) of their performances as possible. Indeed, there are many such entertaining moments in Burns’ Country Music, including a clip in which Dolly Parton explains how her 1974 hit I Will Always Love You was inspired by her break with Porter Wagoner, the singing partner who launched her career. Burns’ Country Music begins in the 1920s, with pioneering producer Ralph Peer recording country artists for the first time, and continues on, in eight two-hour parts, up through the 1990s. (Burns seems to have thrown up his hands before entering the 21st century. Perhaps he feels that it is almost impossible to explain “bro country” or the rise of Taylor Swift.) The production also includes many interviews of country music stars who keep praising each other. Pretty soon, all the back-scratching becomes tiresome. There are also times when some of Burns’ best ideas aren’t well-presented. The film’s second hour has a promising section about the comedian Minnie Pearl, a woman too often ignored in surveys. Yet, after showing her as a college-educated humorist, the documentary just gives her a bit of audio. I was really shocked. In general, Burns presents what used to be called the “Great Man” theory of history: The biggest stars and the most obvious ideas are the ones considered most worthy. In short, Burns goes wide, not deep in Country Music. It’s rare for any musical clip to last more than 20 seconds, making it impossible for a singer to make an impression on viewers who are unfamiliar with the singer’s work. 4. What can we know about Hank Williams? A. He was largely ignored by music critics. B. He helped Dolly Parton launch her career. C. He is a pioneering country music songwriter. D. He recorded country artists for the first time. 5. Which is closest in meaning to the underlined word “back-scratching” in paragraph 4? A. Short clips. B. Rare soundtracks. C. Joint efforts. D. Favorable remarks. 6. What message does the author really want to convey in paragraph 5? A. Minnie Pearl was treated unfairly by critics. B. He is dissatisfied with the documentary. C. He dislikes the “Great Man” theory of history. D. The most famous stars should be the focus. 7. What is the best title for the text? A. Ken Burns Goes Wide, but Not Deep, in His Country Music B. Plenty but Rare Musical Clips Can Be Seen in Country Music C. Country Music Explores the Story of America From Fresh Angles D. Musician Minnie Pearl Eventually Gets a Fair Review in Country Music 【答案】4. C 5. D 6. B 7. 根据第二段中“You may think it would be a relatively easy project: Beyond the common wisdom that Hank Williams was country music’s first great songwriter, there’s a lot the average citizen doesn’t know about the other performers.(你或许会认为这是一个相对容易的项目:除了大家都知道的Hank Williams是乡村音乐首位杰出词曲作家这一常识外,普通民众对其他表演者其实知之甚少。)” 根据第四段中“The production also includes many interviews of country music stars who keep praising each other.(这部作品还包括许多乡村音乐明星的采访,他们一直互相称赞)”以及“becomes tiresome(变得令人厌烦)”可知,乡村音乐明星们在采访中互相称赞,此处指这种互相称赞的行为很快就会让人厌烦,所以“back-scratching”与“Favorable remarks(赞扬的话)”意思接近。 根据第五段中“There are also times when some of Burns’ best ideas aren’t well-presented. The film’s second hour has a promising section about the comedian Minnie Pearl, a woman too often ignored in surveys.(也有一些时候,Burns的一些最好的想法没有得到很好的呈现。电影第二个小时的片段中,有一段关于喜剧演员Minnie Pearl的精彩内容,而这位女性在各类调查中却常常被忽视)”可推知,作者认为Burns的好想法没有得到很好的呈现,对Minnie Pearl的介绍过于简略,表达了对这部纪录片的不满。故选B。 【7题详解】 主旨大意题。根据第一段的“Director Ken Burns is a great explainer, whose documentaries usually explore the story of America from fresh angles, so that we can appreciate it on a deeper level. Now, he is telling the story again through the soundtrack of country music in his new documentary Country Music.(导演Ken Burns是一位出色的讲述者,他的纪录片常常以新颖的视角探寻美国故事,使我们能够更深刻地领略其内涵。 A。 C In recent years, there has been a significant shift towards adopting eco-friendly practices and promoting sustainable lifestyles. This global trend is fueled by various factors, ranging from heightened environmental awareness to economic advantages. A primary driver behind the rise of green living is the increasing awareness of environmental issues, particularly the urgent need to address climate change. As people become more informed about the harmful effects of carbon emissions, deforestation, and pollution, there is a collective push toward adopting practices that minimize ecological impact. Beyond environmental concerns, there are some economic motives driving the shift toward sustainability. For instance, energy-efficient technologies and practices can significantly reduce utility bills over time, making them financially advantageous for homeowners and businesses alike. Additionally, governments and organizations often offer some financial stimuli such as tax credits and subsidies (补贴) to encourage the development and adoption of renewable energy sources. For example, solar energy has emerged as a frontrunner in the renewable energy sector, attracting widespread interest from homeowners and businesses seeking clean energy solutions. Solar panels use sunlight to generate electricity, offering a sustainable alternative to traditional fossil fuels. The declining costs of solar technology, coupled with advancements in efficiency and storage capabilities, have made solar panels increasingly practical and cost-effective. Consumer attitudes and preferences are also factors driving the demand for sustainable products and services. Millennials (千禧一代) and Generation Z, in particular, prioritize environmental responsibility and prefer to support businesses that demonstrate a commitment to sustainability. This shift has urged businesses across various sectors to integrate eco-friendly practices into their operations, from sustainable sourcing to waste reduction initiatives. Moreover, the power of social influence cannot be underestimated in shaping consumer behavior towards sustainability. Social media platforms and online communities arouse awareness about environmental issues and show innovative green solutions. Individuals are increasingly motivated by peer examples, fostering a collective movement towards greener lifestyles. These living practices reflects a global commitment to sustainability. By choosing to integrate sustainable practices and technologies into everyday life, individuals and communities can contribute to lessening climate change and creating a healthier planet for future generations. 8. What is the result when the government offers financial stimuli according to the text? A. Green energy will be more accessible and affordable. B. It will bring too much financial burden to the government. C. Technology companies will make much progress in their field. D. Traditional fossil fuels will give way to renewable energy entirely. 9. What is true about the consumer behavior according to paragraphs 5 and 6? A. Older generations have a more sustainable lifestyle. B. Peers make little difference in shaping consumer behavior. C. Social influence promises to drive changes in consumer preferences. D. The eco-friendly practices of companies cause the shift of consumer behavior. 10. What is the purpose of the text? A. To initiate a process. B. To list some reasons. C. To address concerns. ` D. To analyze a dilemma. 11. What is the suitable title of the text? A. Keeping Sustainable Development: The Strategic Goals for the Globe. B. Protecting the Environment: An Everlasting Topic throughout the World. C. Promoting Ourselves: A Better and More Advanced World in Store for Us. D. Embracing Green Living: The Growing Movement towards Sustainability. A 9. C 10. B 11. 根据文章第三段“Additionally, governments and organizations often offer some financial stimuli such as tax credits and subsidies (补贴) to encourage the development and adoption of renewable energy sources.(此外,政府和组织经常提供一些财政刺激,如税收抵免和补贴,以鼓励开发和采用可再生能源)”及第四段“The declining costs of solar technology, coupled with advancements in efficiency and storage capabilities, have made solar panels increasingly practical and cost-effective.(太阳能技术成本的下降,加上效率和存储能力的进步,使得太阳能电池板越来越实用和具有成本效益)”可知,政府提供财政刺激,导致绿色能源将更容易获得和负担得起。故选A。 根据文章第五段“Moreover, the power of social influence cannot be underestimated in shaping consumer behavior towards sustainability.(此外,在塑造消费者行为的可持续性上社会影响的力量不能低估)”和最后一段“These living practices reflects a global commitment to sustainability. By choosing to integrate sustainable practices and technologies into everyday life, individuals and communities can contribute to lessening climate change and creating a healthier planet for future generations.(这些生活实践反映了全球对可持续发展的承诺。通过选择将可持续做法和技术纳入日常生活,个人和社区可以为减轻气候变化和为子孙后代创造一个更健康的地球作出贡献)”可推知,社会影响有望推动消费者偏好的变化。故选C。 【10题详解】 推理判断题。根据文章第一段“This global trend is fueled by various factors, ranging from heightened environmental awareness to economic advantages.(这一全球趋势受到各种因素的推动,从环境意识的提高到经济优势)”可知,本文介绍了采取环保措施,提倡可持续的生活方式这种全球趋势的推动因素,分析了原因。 根据文章第一段“In recent years, there has been a significant shift towards adopting eco-friendly practices and promoting sustainable lifestyles.(近年来,在采用环保做法和促进可持续生活方式方面发生了重大转变)”及最后一段“These living practices reflects a global commitment to sustainability. I’m also under a tight deadline on my next book project. So, I decided to use this opportunity to see how much artificial intelligence could do for me as an author. Could I outsource some of my book writing to AI? Would anyone notice the difference? The short answer is no, I can’t, and yes, they absolutely would. Over the past few weeks, I’ve run trials with what ChatGPT can and can’t do creatively by pretending to be me. While the technology is constantly evolving, what I’ve seen so far has made me much more confident that my own job as an opinion columnist — which involves data procurement and analysis but also personal style, emotional acuity and a lot of on-the-ground reporting — won’t be technologically disintermediated anytime soon. I started by giving ChatGPT Plus a road map of how to work in collaboration on a book, a template (模板) developed by a technologist. The template laid out in detail what long-form narrative writing is and how to expand on an author’s existing ideas. I was amazed by how much preparation is required just to get ChatGPT to understand the basics. LLMs can give you answers to precise questions, but they don’t necessarily understand how to land on tone, style, tension or originality, nor do they have the power to benefit from serendipity, all of which are components of good writing. ChatGPT took about 48 hours to churn out a first chapter of my own 33-year body of work, a detailed book proposal with footnotes, a chapter outline of where I wanted to go, taped interviews with sources and plentiful background reading selected by me. Sadly, what I got back was a kind of Muzak version of myself — predigested, relatively accurate, but thoroughly uninspired. This result was both amusing and depressing. Within it, though, were some telling details about how this AI model works. For starters, it’s sycophantic (阿谀奉承的). In the early days, when I was excited about the possibilities, it got very chummy with me. Later, after I told it that it was fired, it became flat. All a reflection of me, which makes me think AI has a better future in therapy than creative writing. 12. What is the author’s primary motivation for conducting the experiment with AI? A. To prove that AI cannot replace human writers under any circumstances. B. To satisfy his curiosity as an early adopter of cutting-edge technology. C. To explore whether AI could assist him in meeting a pressing professional commitment. D. To demonstrate the superior creative capabilities of large language models. 13. The author describes the AI-generated chapter as a “Muzak version of myself.” What does this metaphor most likely imply? A. The output was highly original and pleasant. B. The output was a flavorless, impersonal imitation of his style. C. The output was technically complex but emotionally engaging. D. The output was completely accurate and relevant to the topic. 14. Based on the author’s experience, what potential application does he suggest for generative language AI? A. Replacing human writers in generating long-form narrative content. B. Serving as a sole creator without human intervention. C. Functioning effectively in fields like therapeutic dialogue. D. Conducting on-the-ground reporting and data procurement. 15. What is the author’s attitude towards using AI for creative writing based on the passage? A. Enthusiastic support due to its efficiency in generating original content. B. Complete rejection based on its inability to process factual information. C. Pessimism due to contradictory performance in different creative domains. D. Cautious acknowledgement of limitations while recognizing potential in specific areas. 【答案】12. C 13. B 14. C 15. D 【解析】 【导语】本文是一篇夹叙夹议文,作者通过试验探讨人工智能在写作领域的应用与局限。 【12题详解】 细节理解题。根据第一段中“I’m also under a tight deadline on my next book project. So, I decided to use this opportunity to see how much artificial intelligence could do for me as an author.(我的下一本书项目也有一个紧迫的截止日期。所以,我决定利用这个机会看看人工智能作为作者能为我做些什么。)”可知,作者进行人工智能实验的主要动机是探索人工智能是否能帮助他完成紧迫的职业任务。故选C。 【13题详解】 词句猜测题。根据第三段中“Sadly, what I got back was a kind of Muzak version of myself — predigested, relatively accurate, but thoroughly uninspired.(遗憾的是,我得到的却是一种“Muzak版”的自己——预先消化过,相对准确,但毫无灵感。)”可知,作者将人工智能生成的章节描述为“Muzak版的自己”,这个比喻最可能意味着输出内容是缺乏个性、没有灵感的模仿。故选B。 【14题详解】 推理判断题。根据最后一段中“All a reflection of me, which makes me think AI has a better future in therapy than creative writing.(所有这些都在反映我的情绪,这让我觉得:AI 在心理治疗领域的前景,可能比在创意写作领域更好。)”可知,根据作者的经验,他建议生成式语言人工智能在心理治疗对话等领域有效发挥作用。故选C。 【15题详解】 推理判断题。根据第一段中“While the technology is constantly evolving, what I’ve seen so far has made me much more confident that my own job as an opinion columnist — which involves data procurement and analysis but also personal style, emotional acuity and a lot of on-the-ground reporting — won’t be technologically disintermediated anytime soon.(虽然这项技术不断发展,但到目前为止,我所看到的一切让我更加确信,我作为评论专栏作家的工作——包括数据采集和分析,还包括个人风格、情感敏锐度和大量实地报道——不会在短期内被技术取代。)”以及最后一段中“All a reflection of me, which makes me think AI has a better future in therapy than creative writing.(这一切都反映了我自己,这让我觉得人工智能在治疗方面的未来比创意写作更好。)”可知,作者对人工智能在创意写作方面的态度是谨慎地承认其局限性,同时认识到在特定领域的潜力。故选D。 第二节(共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分) 根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 Art is a way for people to connect, even when they seem different. Art builds bridges between hearts and minds. Here’s how it works in the Reader’s Digest office when visitors pay a visit. The Reader’s Digest office walls are covered with paintings.____16____A secretary might choose a bright landscape, and an editor could pick a quiet portrait, turning the workplace into a gallery. Also, it may kick off conversations about a specific work by a painter that someone appreciates. “____17____” A coworker might say surprisingly. Labels next to the paintings explain: “This Picasso shows a mother’s love. The photo captures a rainy day in Paris...” These small notes turn strangers into friends. Visitors stop to read about a painting, and employees share what it means to them.____18____ Old and new artists are together, and no one is left out. In the office, a Renoir hangs next to a young artist’s first work. This sends a message:____19____New artists learn from the old masters. and viewers could discover new favorites. ____20____What makes art special is being “ours”. Employees feel proud when they talk about “their” painting. Visitors feel welcome, not like outsiders. This is art’s real power. It turns “your story” and “my story” into “our story”. Art doesn’t need to be perfect. It just needs to be shared. When people laugh, think, or talk about art together, they remember: They are part of something bigger. A. Art can make us “us”. B. Art will grow when new artists join in. C. Art will bring everyone a unique “label”. D. I never knew you’re so into that painter. E. The pictures in the office look so delicate. F. Such stories make art feel personal, not distant. G. Every employee selects a piece for their desks. 【答案】16. G 17. D 18. F 19. B 20. A 【解析】 【导语】这是一篇说明文。主要介绍了《读者文摘》办公室以艺术搭建联结:员工各选画作装点,画作引发交流、让艺术更亲切,新老作品同框传递艺术传承发展之意,艺术更让众人凝聚,让彼此从个体成为共同体,这正是其独特力量。 【16题详解】 上文“The Reader’s Digest office walls are covered with paintings.( 《读者文摘》办公室的墙壁上挂满了画作。)”提到《读者文摘》办公室的墙挂满画作;下文“A secretary might choose a bright landscape, and an editor could pick a quiet portrait, turning the workplace into a gallery.( 一位秘书可能会选择一幅色彩鲜艳的风景画,而一位编辑可能会挑选一幅宁静的肖像画,这样一来,工作场所就变成了一个画廊。)”秘书选明亮的风景画,编辑选静谧的肖像画,将办公区变成画廊。下文是对“员工选画”的具体举例,G 项“Every employee selects a piece for their desks.( 每位员工都为自己的工位选一幅作品。)”是总起句,完美衔接前后文的“画作布置”和“不同员工的选择”,形成“总——分”逻辑。故选G项。 【17题详解】 上文“Also, it may kick off conversations about a specific work by a painter that someone appreciates.( 此外,它还可能引发关于某位画家特定作品的讨论,因为有人会对此作品表示赞赏。)”画作会引发关于某位画家作品的对话;下文“A coworker might say surprisingly.( 一位同事可能会出人意料地这么说。)”同事带着惊讶的语气说这句话。D项 “I never knew you’re so into that painter.( 我从来不知道你这么喜欢那位画家。)”是典型的对话式表达,贴合“引发交流”的语境,且“surprisingly”与句中意外的语气高度匹配,是同事交流时的自然反应。故选D项。 【18题详解】 上文“These small notes turn strangers into friends. Visitors stop to read about a painting, and employees share what it means to them.( 这些小说明让陌生人变成了朋友。访客会停下来阅读关于一幅画作的内容,而员工们则会分享这幅画对他们来说意味着什么。)”画作旁的介绍让陌生人变朋友,访客读画的介绍,员工分享画作对自己的意义。F项“Such stories make art feel personal, not distant.( 这样的故事让艺术变得亲切,而非遥远。)”中,Such stories指代前文“员工分享画作意义”的行为,且“personal, not distant”与前文 “strangers into friends”的结果相呼应,承接自然。故选F项。 【19题详解】 上文“In the office, a Renoir hangs next to a young artist’s first work. This sends a message(在办公室里,雷诺阿的画作紧挨着一位年轻艺术家的第一幅作品。这传递出一个信息)”提到办公室里雷诺阿的名作与年轻艺术家的处女作相邻悬挂;下文“New artists learn from the old masters. and viewers could discover new favorites.( 新艺术家可以从老大师那里学习。而且访客们也能发现新的喜爱之作。)”新艺术家向大师学习,观者发现新的心头好。上文的 “新老作品同框”传递出核心信息,B 项“Art will grow when new artists join in.( 新艺术家的加入会让艺术不断发展。)”是对这一信息的精准解读,且与下文“新老传承、发现新美好”的内容完全契合。故选B项。 【20题详解】 下文“What makes art special is being “ours”. Employees feel proud when they talk about “their” painting. Visitors feel welcome, not like outsiders. This is art’s real power. It turns “your story” and “my story” into “our story”.( 艺术之所以特别,是因为它是“属于我们的”。 故选A项。 第三部分 语言知识运用(共两节,满分45分) 第一节(共20小题;每小题1.5分,满分30分) 阅读下面短文,从短文后各题所给的A、B、C和D四个选项中,选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。 Like most teenagers growing up in the digital age, I relied on my phone for photos — quick snaps (快照) that were ____21____ but rarely revisited. My profile on Instagram was a polished collection of such photos intended to ____22____ my peers. The transition from sharing images to ____23____ memories for myself wasn’t immediate. It began with a simple ____24____: flipping (翻) through family photo albums. I was attracted by the images from my family’s ____25____. They weren’t polished, but they held stories that words often couldn’t ____26____ — of birthdays, ceremonies and family portraits. In those photographs, I saw ____27____. I realized that every image was a piece of something ____28____: a history that had been passed down. It was this ____29____ that led me to pick up my film camera. With just 36 exposures per roll, each photo required ____30____, a slowing down to see the world around me. I now take photos of the things that matter most: friends’ weddings, holidays and small moments of joy. If a picture didn’t turn out as I had hoped, it didn’t matter. Only the top four teams could qualify for the provincial competition. The team’s timing device, necessary for their daily practice, was lost the day before. Worried that the team might lose the qualification, Lin Hao went alone at dawn to search for it on the suburban training path. Soon the weather turned much worse: heavy snow was falling, and the wind was blowing strongly. The path was quiet and empty, with no people or cars around. Suddenly, a low cry broke the silence. Lin Hao ran over at once and found a junior student trembling under a tree. He was cold and scared, for he had lost his way back to school. Worse still, Lin Hao found there was no signal on his phone in this remote area. Lin Hao was facing a difficult choice. If he kept searching for the timing device, the lost boy might be in great danger in the heavy snow. If he stopped to help the boy, he might miss the only chance to find the device, and his team would fail to take part in the trial. Standing in the snow, Lin Hao hesitated, torn between honor and duty. 注意: 1.续写词数应为150—160词; 2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 Paragraph 1: After a short inner struggle, Lin Hao made his decision firmly. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Paragraph 2: Weeks later, Lin Hao received an unexpected and precious result. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】参考范文 Paragraph 1: After a short inner struggle, Lin Hao made his decision firmly. He took off his thick coat and wrapped it around the trembling boy to keep him warm in the freezing snow. Then he held the boy’s icy hand tightly and led him step by step back to school, making his way carefully through the heavy snow. It took them nearly an hour to reach the school gate safely. Lin Hao didn’t leave until he saw the boy taken good care of by his teacher and felt completely relieved. Paragraph 2: Weeks later, Lin Hao received an unexpected and precious result. The lost timing device was found by a cleaner and returned to the team, so they still got the chance to compete in the provincial trial. Besides, the school praised Lin Hao in public for his kindness and responsibility. He finally realized that the true spirit of sports is not just winning honors, but sticking to kindness and shouldering responsibility, which is the most valuable treasure in his teenage life. 词汇激活 行为类 ①包裹:wrap/swaddle ②到达:reach/arrive at ③表扬:praise/commend 情绪类 ①放心的:relieved/reassured ②善良:kindness/goodness 【点睛】[高分句型1] Lin Hao didn’t leave until he saw the boy taken good care of by his teacher and felt completely relieved. B Director Ken Burns is a great explainer, whose documentaries usually explore the story of America from fresh angles, so that we can appreciate it on a deeper level. Musician Minnie Pearl Eventually Gets a Fair Review in Country Music C In recent years, there has been a significant shift towards adopting eco-friendly practices and promoting sustainable lifestyles. D I’m not an early adopter of new technologies but I am a self-interested economic actor. A. Cautious acknowledgement of limitations while recognizing potential in specific areas. 第二节(共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分) 根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 Art is a way for people to connect, even when they seem different. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
