根据后文“You send your friend a WeChat red packet with 21 yuan.”
根据前文“Your other friend just gives him 20 yuan...”

“Why did she spill (洒) the beans?” I thought regretfully (惋惜地). I’ll always remember that day, when I was so surprised by all the strange looks people gave me. I couldn’t believe I had lost the friendship of the person I trusted the most.
Five years back, Sally was the new kid in class. After a few months, we were best friends. Sally was the most friendly person I knew. Maybe that’s why I told her about my personal life. She then told everyone at school, exaggerating (夸大) the matter. It was like someone had stabbed (刺) me in the back. People started laughing at me whenever I passed by. To avoid embarrassment, I changed schools. Sally called me many times, but I didn’t want to talk to her.
I tried to heal from the scars (伤疤) she left on my heart during five years. My life became normal. Then one day, I met Anna who was my classmate. She told me that Sally wasn’t the one who brought my secrets to light. Mary was .Mary was our school’s big mouth who always wanted to care about others’ business.
I was all at sea I wished I could have asked Sally about this. I wished I could go back and fix my mistakes. From that, I learned a life lesson—we should be open to honest communication before jumping to conclusions (结论), because even one little mistake could really hurt our friendship.
26. Spill (洒) the beans in the passage means bringing secrets to others.
27. The writer lost the friendship four years ago.
28. Anna shared the writer’s personal life with everyone, so the writer changed the school.
29. Someone stabbed (刺) the writer in the back and the writer was hurt badly and had scars.
30. According to the article, we learn that when we have problems in life, we need to learn to communicate honestly to solve the problem instead of keeping them to ourselves.
28. B 29. B
30. A
文中提到作者告诉 Sally 关于自己个人生活的事,Sally 却把这件事告诉了学校里的每个人,结合后文“She told me that Sally wasn’t the one who brought my secrets to light.”
第二段中提到“Five years back, Sally was the new kid in class. After a few months, we were best friends.”以及“I tried to heal from the scars (伤疤) she left on my heart during five years.”
第二段“It was like someone had stabbed (刺) me in the back.”
文中最后提到“From that, I learned a life lesson—we should be open to honest communication before jumping to conclusions (结论), because even one little mistake could really hurt our friendship.”
(C)
Have you ever been burned by a pie from KFC or McDonald’s? Many people on social media say that when the pie crust (外壳) feels cool enough to eat, the filling inside is still “as hot as lava (岩浆)”.
To find out how hot the filling can be, a team in China did a test. They found that the average (平均的) temperature of the filling can reach 64 C when the pies are taken out of the oven. According to China Science Communication, the suggested temperature for food is around 10 C to 40 C, and food that is over 60 C can hurt our throat.
The reason for this is that the filling is thick and not exposed (暴露) to air. Once heated, it keeps heat for a long time. The test shows that after a pie from KFC has been out of the oven for 10 minutes, the temperature inside still reaches 45.1 C.
The temperature difference can be explained using a physics concept (概念) called specific heat capacity (比热容). This tells us how much heat is needed to change the temperature of 1 gram of something by 1 C. Something with a low specific heat capacity is like a small cup; it doesn’t hold much heat and cools down fast. Things with a high specific heat capacity take longer to cool down. Usually, liquids (液体) hold heat longer than solids (固体). As a pie’s filling has more water than its crust, it takes more time for the filling to fully cool down.
31. What is the problem with pies from KFC or McDonald’s?
A. The fillings taste like lava. B. They cool down too quickly. C. The hot fillings can burn eaters.
32. What is the safe temperature range for food?
A. From -10 C to 40 C. B. From 10 C to 40 C C. From 25 C to 60 C.
33. What is the main reason why the pie filling stays hot longer than the crust?
A. The pie filling is thicker than the crust.
B. The filling is made of special food.
C. The filling has a higher specific heat capacity.
34. According to the last paragraph, which of the following cools down the slowest at the same temperature?
A. Bowl. B. Cake. C. Milk.
35. What is the passage mainly about?
A. Why pie fillings cool down slowly.
B. What specific heat capacity is.
C. What helps cool down a pie quickly.
C 32. B 33. C 34. C 35. A
第二段明确说明“According to China Science Communication, the suggested temperature for food is around 10 C to 40 C”,这表明食物的安全温度范围是10 C到40 C。
第四段解释“As a pie’s filling has more water than its crust, it takes more time for the filling to fully cool down”,说明馅料比外壳冷却时间更长的主要原因是馅料的比热容更高。
第四段提到“Things with a high specific heat capacity take longer to cool down.
(D)

Sept 27 is World Tourism Day. You might prepare to take a trip with your family during the coming National Day holiday. Will it be a “laid-back tourism (摆烂式旅游)”, or a “healing retreat (疗愈之旅)”? The choices seem never-ending.
But did you know that not long ago, many Chinese people traveled by just following tour guides and taking photos? So why have so many new travel ways appeared in just a few years?
There are many reasons. For one, young people don’t like fixed (固定的) plans anymore. They like to explore, especially less-visited places better. Some even go to small towns for music festivals, choosing personal interests over popular places.
Many also start trips without any plans, enjoying surprises along the way. A growing focus on feelings also plays a role, according to People’s Daily. “Just visiting” is not enough anymore. People want immersive (沉浸的) experiences, like joining local activities or relaxing by a campfire.
At the same time, businesses and local governments are also introducing different policies (政策) to attract tourists. China’s tourism market is still changing quickly. Will you be the one to start the next trend (潮流)?

Five years back, Sally was the new kid in class. After a few months, we were best friends. Sally was the most friendly person I knew. Maybe that’s why I told her about my personal life. She then told everyone at school, exaggerating (夸大) the matter. It was like someone had stabbed (刺) me in the back. People started laughing at me whenever I passed by. To avoid embarrassment, I changed schools. Sally called me many times, but I didn’t want to talk to her.

B The filling is made of special food.
