People use traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM 传统中医) to help keep the balance (平衡) of yin and yang. But have you ever thought that one day you can learn herb (药草) planting and TCM courses at school?

Dunhuang was one of the most important stops along the ancient Silk Road. It is famous for the Mogao Grottoes which were listed as a world cultural heritage by UNESCO in 1987.
Many people, including archaeologists (考古学家) and researchers, work hard to take care of the Mogao Grottoes and learn more about them. Fan Jinshi is one of them. People call her the “Daughter of Dunhuang”.
Fan Jinshi was born in Beijing in 1938. Her father was a graduate of Tsinghua University and had a strong interest in Chinese classical art and culture. So Fan had great love for Chinese culture when she was young. She studied in the archaeology department in Peking University from 1958 to 1963. Then she started working at Dunhuang Academy and has worked there ever since.

On May 4,2023, Fan Jinshi returned to Peking University and brought back 10 million RMB donations to set up the Fan Jinshi Education Fund (基金会) to support the research of Dunhuang Studies. “Money should be spent in the right way. The Great Wall of China
The Great Wall of China is one of the greatest wonders of the world. It is a series of fortifications made of stone, brick, tamped earth, wood, and other materials. It stretches from the east coast to the western desert, across northern China, with a total length of more than 21,000 kilometres.
The Great Wall was built over more than 2,000 years, from the Spring and Autumn Period to the Ming Dynasty. On June 5, 2022, China launched (发射) the crewed spaceship Shenzhou-14. It sent three astronauts—Chen Dong, Liu Yang and Cai Xuzhe to its space station for a six-month mission (任务). This is the second time Chen and Liu have gone into space.

My favourite historic city is Xi’an. It is famous for the Terracotta Army, which shows the greatness of ancient China. The city wall is another amazing place where you can ride bikes and enjoy the view.
