Write their answers on the blackboard, such as "wear a helmet", "follow traffic lights", "don't ride too fast", etc. Activity 2: Picture Talk Show a picture of a bike accident and ask: "What happened in the picture? Do you think the rider was wearing a helmet? Why is it important to wear a helmet?" ●Step2 Pre-reading （8mins） Activity 1: Vocabulary Learning.Present new words with pictures and definitions:helmet: a hard hat worn to protect the head.accident: an unexpected event that causes injury or damage.bleed: to lose blood from the body.damage: harm or injury to something.protect: to keep someone or something safe from harm Practice pronunciation and ask students to make sentences with the words.
