Last month, our school held a “Growing Up” sharing day. Students talked about their experiences and what they learned. It was very inspiring.
Li Hua was the first to share. “I used to be very shy,” she said. “I didn’t 21 to speak in front of others. When the teacher asked questions, I would lower my head. But my English teacher, Miss Wang, noticed this. She 22 me to join the English club. At first, I was scared. But everyone there was so kind. They 23 me to speak and never laughed at my mistakes. Slowly, I became more confident. Last week, I even gave a short speech in class. I felt so 24 !”
Then Zhang Wei shared his story. “I used to have a bad temper,” he said. “When things didn’t go my way, I would get angry 25 . I once shouted at my best friend over a small thing. We didn’t talk for a week. I felt really 26 and lonely. Finally, I decided to say sorry. It was hard, but I took a deep 27 and talked to him. He forgave me. I learned that saying sorry takes courage, but it’s worth it.”
Wang Fang also spoke. “Last year, I failed the math exam. I thought I had let my parents down. I had a long 28 for days. But my parents weren’t angry. They said, ‘Everyone fails sometimes. The important thing is to learn from your mistakes.’ Their words gave me 29 . I studied harder and did better next time.”
After hearing these stories, I thought about my own growth. Growing up is not always easy. We face problems and sometimes feel blue. But with help from others and our own efforts, we can become 30 and wiser. Every challenge is a chance to grow.

a way to act表示“一种行为方式”,符合语境,应用way“方式”。

上文提到Aron本就易怒,妈妈让他画画,后文“but he decided to give it a try”表转折,说明他起初并不积极。
下文妈妈问“What are these paintings about?”,说明Aron把画给妈妈看了。固定搭配 show sth. to sb.
后文妈妈解释时提到“Your teacher scolded you because you caused trouble in class”,直接对应此处人物。
first“第一”、second“第二”与顺序不符;fourth“第四”与“three pictures”矛盾。
take one’s advice
