Title: Being a Gracious Guest
Visiting friends is a joy, but being a good guest is an art. Here is some helpful advice on how to behave when invited to a home.
Firstly, never arrive too early. It is polite to be exactly on time or a few minutes late, but arriving early might catch the host unprepared. When you enter, take off your shoes if you see others doing so. During the meal, do not start eating until the elders pick up their chopsticks. This shows enough respect for the senior members of the family. Moreover, try to eat everything on your plate unless you are full, as wasting food is impolite.
Finally, don't forget to thank the host before leaving. We should follow these rules to make everyone feel comfortable. I hope you will find this advice useful and become a welcomed guest everywhere.
Key Vocabulary: gracious (亲切的), unprepared (未准备好的), Senior members (长辈).
Highlight Sentences:
It is polite to be exactly on time... (做某事是礼貌的……)
This shows enough respect for the senior members of the family. (这展示了对家中长辈足够的尊重。)
IV. Homework
Finalize the article based on peer feedback and submit.
