Many people worry too much about things that might happen or think back again and again about what they did before. This is what we call “overthinking (精神内耗)”. In fact, the longer you think about something, the more tired and stressed you may be. But can we do something to stop overthinking?
Ethan, a 35-year-old salesman, often found himself staying awake at night, replaying a talk with his boss in his mind. “Am I right? Is there anything wrong with the talk?” The more he thought about it, the worse he felt. One night in bed, he noticed that his body was under great stress and it was hard for him to breathe. He decided to get out of bed and started doing simple exercise. After a few minutes, he felt less nervous. Then he kept his mind on his body, and stopped worrying too much about his mistakes. As he exercised more, he felt greatly relaxed.
Next time you start worrying too much or getting nervous, try to put your mind on your body instead. You may go for a walk or do push-ups until you are sweating (出汗). Holding something cold or warm can also help you feel better quickly. “4-7-8 breathing” is another useful method. Bees are great dancers. But they don’t just dance for fun. Dancing is their way of communicating. They dance to help each other find flowers that they depend on for food.
Scientists from the University of California in the US studied bee dance moves. They discovered something interesting. Bees learn dance moves from each other and young bees copy (模仿) older bees.
Many animals, like monkeys and birds, learn by copying each other. But bees have much smaller brains (大脑) than these animals. Amazingly, they can still learn and work together.
A bee starts dancing by taking a step and wagging (摇摆) fast side to side. It keeps doing this while it moves around. Scientists call this the “waggle dance”. These dance moves help other bees know where to find food. If the bee waggles a lot, that means food is far away. Less wagging means the food is close. If the bee dances for a long time, it means the food is very tasty.
Scientists recorded videos of bees to find out how they learn the waggle dance. The scientists compared two groups of young bees. In one group, young bees could watch older ones dance and they became good dancers. In the other group, young bees could not watch older dancers and they could not dance as well. This shows how good bees are at learning.
Sadly, bees are now facing many problems. People use pesticides (杀虫剂) to protect plants. But they hurt bees at the same time. When bees touch them, their waggle dance changes, and they make more mistakes.
Let’s take action to help bees stay safe so they can keep dancing and finding food!

A.Bees like to sing while dancing.
B.Bees dance for fun and exercise.
C.Bees can dance in different ways.
D.Bees learn dance moves through copying.

A.Where do bees live?
B.Why do bees like flowers?
C.How do bees find tasty food?
D.What do bee dance moves look like?
( )33.How did the scientists make their discovery?
A.By playing games. B.By comparing facts.
C.By asking questions. D.By drawing pictures.
( )34.What does the underlined word “they” in Paragraph 6 refer to?
A.Bees. B.Plants. C.Scientists. D.Pesticides.
( )35.What’s the writer’s purpose (意图) in writing the passage?
A.To tell readers how bees make honey.

(A)
Many people worry too much about things that might happen or think back again and again about what they did before.

A.Where do bees live?
B.Why do bees like flowers?
C.How do bees find tasty food?

31.根据第二段“Bees learn dance moves from each other and young bees copy (模仿) older bees.”
32.第四段主要描述了蜜蜂跳舞的方式,如“A bee starts dancing by taking a step and wagging (摇摆) fast side to side. It keeps doing this while it moves around. Scientists call this the ‘waggle dance’.”
33.根据第五段“The scientists compared two groups of young bees. In one group, young bees could watch older ones dance and they became good dancers. In the other group, young bees could not watch older dancers and they could not dance as well.”
34.根据第六段“People use pesticides (杀虫剂) to protect plants. But they hurt bees at the same time. When bees touch them, their waggle dance changes, and they make more mistakes.”
