I think it's a bad thing because the expression “falls upon” is used by the writer to describe failure happening to people. This suggests that when something “falls upon” you, it is usually unexpected and unpleasant, like experiencing failure.

Sample
Last year, I failed to join the school band. During the tryout, I was so nervous that a big mistake wasmade. Everyone looked at me and my face turned red.
I was hurt by my failure. It was painful because I knew I could play well. I was just too shy to showmy true ability.
However, I didn't want to give up, so I practised harder and performed in different public settings. Slowly, I got over my fear of the stage. I also started to think about failure in a different way. It became avaluable lesson and made me stronger. Later, I joined the band successfully.
Now I understand that failure is a part of life. It helps us improve. Don't be afraid of it!
If you believe yourself, you will never be defeated.
