Look and discuss
Why do you think most students prefer to communicate in person rather than through texting or social media?
Do you think the percentage of students using social media will increase or decrease in the future? Why?
How might the results be different if the survey was done with teachers?
(Answers may vary.) Maybe because talking in person makes the students feel more personal. In this way, they can express their own feelings, and understand others’ feelings better.
(Answers may vary.) I think it might increase in the future. As technology keeps improving, social media platforms are becoming more popular and more convenient to use.
(Answers may vary.) Teachers might prefer more formal or traditional ways of communication. The percentage of talking on the phone or through emails may rise.

Update my to-do list
Listen to Wang Yiming.
What is his favourite way of communication? Why?
Wang Yiming prefers face-to-face communication. This is because it allows him to show his feelings through his body language and facial expressions. It helps him avoid any misunderstanding.
What is your favourite way of communication? Why?
(Answers may vary.)
My favourite communication is texting. I am an “I” person in MBTI tests. I prefer talking at my comfortable pace and I can think about what I want to say before sending a message.
